If you are looking for authentic Haitian Caribbean food, look no further. Ms Didi's is a cute little spot tucked away on Kilborne Dr. You are greeted as soon as you step through the door which is always a plus to me to be acknowledged, even when there is a line. I love that the staff can give you recommendations because they have tried the food themselves. I went for the Haitian fries as an appetizer and the Port-Au-Prince chicken jerk. Let me tell you how those Haitian fries are a meal and SO good!! Yes I shared them but they have actual meat plus all the sauce etc on top of the fries. Chefs kiss! Then those Wings that I had to eat a day later because yea the fries did me in, were so good and they even give you jerk sauce just in case you need a little more! I was never so glad I got it to go. You can dine in but just know space is limited so you might want it to go just in case. 10/10 I will definitely be back and can't wait to try other options on the menu.

If you love authentic Haitian food, Ms. Didi's Caribbean Kitchen is the place to be! Talk about authentic, the rice, the beans, the macaroni, and cheese, cabbage, the jerk chicken... oh my goodness. Every single bite is a 10 out of 10. It's comfort food with rich Caribbean flavor that feels like it was made straight from the heart. One of the things that truly sets them apart? Their 100 sanitation score! Yes, a perfect 100--and that speaks volumes. Clean, organized, and trustworthy. You can taste the love and care that goes into every dish. Christina and Ms. Didi are the sweetest and they make you feel like family the moment you walk up. The food is incredible, the service is warm, and the vibe is full of love. Run, don't walk, Ms. Didi's is the real deal!

I've been in Charlotte for two months, I'm a born and raised Miami girl where there is an abundance of Haitian food! Ms DiDis came through with the food! My food was delicious, I have to admit I played it safe with just getting the grio, but now I'm open to try some other things next time! (I wanted to try the legume, but wanted to play it safe since it was my first time trying them) Generous serving, food seasoned well! I deducted a star because I also ordered a fish pattie which was to spicy for me and a bit dry. All in all, I'm so happy I tried their food and I'm so anxious to get more!

South Florida / Broward local here. - I drove from waxhaw to try and.Didi's cooking and I received some of the best Haitian food I've had in a while since I left Florida. Though Ms. Didi's is a food truck there may not be anywhere to sit and enjoy yourself, Ms. Didi and her staff thought of that as well. I was given a vibrating timer to alert me food was ready from the warmth and comfort of my own vehicle. At Ms. Didi's you'll be welcomed with professionalism, along with genuine traditional cooking. You will not be disappointed!

This food was amazing. The lady that I ordered my food with over the phone was very helpful and there was great customer service. I have no complaints. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

The best Haitian food I have had in Charlotte, hands down! I randomly came across Ms. Didi's on Instagram and I checked out. They were located on Eastway. The truck was ran by the sweetest mom + daughter duo I had jacmel, which came with a piece of fried fish, rice & beans + sweet plantains. The fish was seasoned so good and everything together was just so bomb. I'm dying to go back and try the Mac and cheese and the jerk wings!

I was super excited when I discovered that there is a food truck that specializes in Haitian cuisine. I ordered online as required and my order was ready on time. The portion sizes were very large. However, I was disappointed in the lack of flavor in the rice and legume. Being a Miami native I have a high standard for Haitian food, so keep that in mind when considering my review. I'm not saying that the food wasn't good, I just expected a lot more flavor. The macaroni had an interesting flavor of that I'm not accustomed to, reminded me of cardamom. The plantains and patty were good. The piklis were so awesome I would like to buy a jar full. The watermelon was super sweet but so delicious.

Authentic taste, great portions and timely service. This should be your go-to if you are looking for Haitian fare in Charlotte.

It's mostly a takeout place but there are 2 booths that can fit 4 people and 3 small tables that can fit a few people. You order at the cash register and then seat yourself or wait. I ordered the fried red snapper, a friend ordered the stewed red snapper. I liked hers better because it was nice and moist with lots of flavor from the red sauce. Mine was still very good, and she preferred mine. We had the passion fruit lemonade and it was so good my friend got a second one. Be prepared to wait awhile for your food. We put in our order at 2:10pm. He said it would take about 20 minutes; however, we received our food at 2:50pm. Our fish came with either rice and beans or black rice and either green plantains or sweet plantains. I got the rice and beans. My Jamaican friend said the taste was similar to her country. Another friend ordered the Griot, which is cubed and fried seasoned pork over black rice. I really liked the black rice, but the pork was a bit dry. They did give some small containers of sauce with it. The metal containers make it easy to reheat your food at home. Kudos for that. Another friend got their fried chicken and said it was ok. We all agreed the snapper was the way to go. Additionally, I ordered Haitian Mac & Cheese and really loved it. It was creamy and different. It sort of reminded me of an Italian vodka sauce. To go, I ordered 2 beef and 2 fish patties. Hubby loves beef pies and I've never seen fish patties, so of course I had to try them. The beef pies were really good. Highly recommend those flakey crusted beef patties with wonderful seasonings. The fish patties' seasonings were very unique. Maybe the flavor of cloves ? We likely would have ordered dessert if they had anything other than coconut rum cake, but I don't like coconut. This place is difficult to find. It's on Graham Street 1 mile from 85 away from Downtown next to a Food Lion in a Strip Mall. There's no actual sign on the building except for a banner near the door. A nail salon is next door on the other side.

The restaurant is in a plaza with a Food Lion and a few other stores. There's plenty of parking. It was a little tricky to find at first glance because they don't have a sign on the building like the other business around them. They do have a larger hanging sign in front of the door which helps. I would describe this place as a pick up spot only. Yes, they have a few tables and chairs inside but there is no waitstaff. I ordered a passionfruit lemonade, sweet plantains, pikliz and Haitian mac n cheese. My food was DELICIOUS! Truly. If I were hungrier I would've ordered more. The reason for the "just ok" rating was due to things I'm sure can be remedied for future guests. The young lady taking orders wasn't the nicest person. They had a bit of a line when we ordered so I understand, but please be kind to people patroning your business. It took a good while for us to get our food, and that is perfectly okay. But it literally took 30 mins or more to even get my drink. I got that well after my food. I had to ask about it, so I'm guessing it was just forgotten. All that aside, I would eat here again, but I would call my order in well in advance and expect to pick it up and go. Great food, just hope the service gets a little better moving forward. Definitely recommend for the food!!

Absolutely zero "F's" were given in the food preparation. The textures were appalling, as if the food had been scorched and then left out for hours before serving. The only remotely edible thing was the cold, burnt plantains, but even those were barely tolerable. I kept biting into gritty bits that I couldn't even identify as food, which made me seriously question the safety of what I was eating. If I had access to a lab, I would submit it to see what I'd [really] been served. I ended up throwing my entire meal in the garbage. To top it off, they've changed the name of the place, which just raises even more red flags. I can't help but wonder why they felt the need to do that. It's a waste of money, time, hope and food to ever go here. They disrespected the life of the poor chicken who died for this wretched soot seasoned, curry chicken slop. If my husband or anyone suggested this place I would seriously consider throwing hands. It doesn't matter what they are calling it now. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place.
