Sabrina, the cashier was nice and welcoming. The menu is facing the door when you walk inside. The food is price average in comparison to other Jamaican restaurants. I had a beef patty it was absolutely delicious and my friend had a chicken patty. I ordered chicken wings cabbage and plantains and my friend ordered oxtails, rice, and cabbage. The food was piping hot which is always a plus and the weight was not very long. This is a pick up only restaurant so you're not able to sit inside and enjoy your meal. The rice absorbed the sauce and marrow and was very flavorful with a nice coat of melted beef marrow. The coco bread was sweet and complimented the spicy beef patty. This is the Caribbean food i grew up on.There is alot of time and care that is put into the food that comes from Yard. The jerk chicken is super Duper tender and flavorful. The Curry shrimp is loaded with shrimp and the most delicious Curry. THE MAC AND CHEESE I even got the soup that kicked my colds a$$ better than any medication. Perfect amount of seasoning on the chicken which I'm guessing was mostly thigh meat. One word of caution...they chop the chicken bones and all, so I was picking through the bones. After I got my meal and sat down in their very small bar stool counters, a guy walks in and started staging all of his jewelry in my space while I'm trying to eat. Obviously he has no brain so I didn't even bother saying anything to him and I just moved to the other side. Low prices, big portions and huge flavors! I've had the coconut curry shrimp, the jerk salmon, the beef patty and the Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious but the Mac and cheese was my favorite, some of the best I've ever had. The beef patty had a nice spice to it and was hot and fresh even with delivery. Really nice portion of salmon especially considering the price, I've seen smaller portions elsewhere for several more dollars. The shrimp were good size and you got a good amount of them too, I didn't count before I ate them but I would say at least 10-12 good medium size shrimp.
