My car was broken into and I had to get the window replaced. When I looked here on Yelp, the reviews were good, and when I called, their pricing was okay and they could get me in quickly. Unfortunately, they didn't get all the broken glass out of the door, so when I rolled my window up or down there was a grinding sound. When I closed the car door, I could hear the glass inside the door. I called and they told me "No, we vacumed the glass out." After disagreeing that there could be broken glass in the door, they said I could bring the car back in (another drive across town). I do not appreciate having to make two trips to get the job done right, and at no time did they apologize for the additional time or inconvenience, or for not doing it right the first time. They also left a lot of broken glass inside my car, so I had to clean that out myself. Not happy at all with the quality or customer service. read more

This place was recommended by my father. Recently had to replace the windshield due to a 40oz bottle cracking the middle. Called up my insurance and linked me with a discount to MS. This place is all Spanglish, was completely disconnected with the rep I spoke to on the phone. Took over an hour and half to get my glass brought in, because they last minute did not have in stock. Ended up hanging outside with the workers while we waited and played cards and talk about the Cinco De Mayo. When the glass arrived they all jumped in and it was clock work. Reminicent of the car wash days in LA. Hated the disfunction but in the end the service was worth it. Would recommend. read more

I've had to replace a couple windshields and a passenger door window with my old Honda and my current Subaru. This place has the best prices I've seen after calling around to a few places. They're also very fast. I dropped my Subaru off for a windshield repair and wandered around the Fred Meyer across the street for a little while. It was done in no time. For around $125. Had the passenger side window smashed in and got it replaced the same day that I called. The cost for the new window was $150 +20 extra to have them come to my house so I didn't have to drive to seattle. They arrived within 2 1/2 hours of my call and fixed the window in probably 45minutes. My only complaint would be they left some glass (which they say on the form you sign that glass may be left behind, since their main job is to fix the window not clean the car) and the inside pannels of my door were scratched up a bit...but my nissan has a very soft/crappy interior that I can scratch using only my fingernails so I kinda expected it would be scratched when they were done :( but it didn't seem like they did anything to prevent scratches either. Overall a good experience but since they left a lot of glass behind, scratched the interior and I don't have any prior experience to compare it to I'm only giving them 3 or 4 stars read more

I spent all afternoon calling all the windshield shops in Seattle and on the Eastside and MS Glass Outlet not only beat the next cheapest by 50 bucks (and Safelite by $170) but they got me in the next morning and had it replaced in less than an hour. Highly Recommend. Followup (7/20/16), 4 years running and still very happy. I worried that the cheap price might mean a cheap windshield or shoddy installation, but no leaks and no cracks at this time. My windshield got a huuuuge crack on it. I did my research online. Frankly, it was disheartening how few legitimate and helpful reviews I was able to find. Ultimately, I made a list of questions so I wouldn't sound completely clueless and decided to call around. I tried to puff up my chest and practiced sounding all, "Why you trying to rip me off ahhh? I know cars and I know what you're trying to do!" Cuz yes, I know how to put gas into my car, I've vacuumed it, like, twice on my own and I've watched some YouTube videos. Car knowledge FTW! Even though I spent a lot of time on it, it ultimately seemed that there was a dearth of useful info online. Finally, I took it upon myself to call around. I first called the Toyota dealership which quoted me at over a $1,000 for parts alone. I called a couple of other places which were significantly less but within $20 of each other. I called this place last and they quoted me $100 less than the other places(!!!) They let me drop my car off first thing in the morning and pick it up after work. (I opted out the service where they come to you for $25 and fix it on the spot) I gave the friendly attendant my spare keys with instructions to leave them in my glove box when they were done, filled out a form, paid and took the bus to work. I got back later that afternoon, got in my car with the spiffy new windshield and drove home. They were very polite and professional. For under $200 (for my old Corolla), I got parts (windshield & molding), labor and taxes all covered. I inspected the new part for thickness, etc. and checked the work they had done. I hosed the car down to check for leaks, tried to pick at the seal and stuff and I have ZERO issues with it. I had my automechanic uncle inspect it too and got the thumbs up. This is my first experience dealing with car-related things besides putting gas in it, getting an oil change and adding air to my tires and I can honestly say it was about as painless as it could be. I went to MS Glass Outlet for the second time today. The first time someone had broken into my front passenger window, and they repaired the window and it had previously been having trouble rolling down due to a dent in my door, and they popped it out to boot. Now my window works and it only cost around $150! Second time I needed my windshield replaced and it took an hour and a half and only cost $175 - a steal! The chick at the front desk is really friendly and sassy (didn't catch your name, sorry!) Also, there are a lot of great places to walk to to kill time, which I would recommend as they don't have much of a waiting room. read more

Well...the work they did seems good (they left my car clean, which is nice)...I'll know more about that in the coming days as I just had it done this morning. However, the service was pretty awful. My experience on the phone setting up the appointment was a complete 180 from what I experienced in the shop. The guy was rude and not interested in my concerns. When he quoted me a different price than what I had gotten over the phone he said "Why are we talking about this, let's just do it?" when I asked for clarification. It was pretty off putting. I suppose if all you want is to have your glass replaced, it's an ok place. I'd just like a slightly nicer expereience. read more

Saturday I got my car broken into and immediately was on the phone with my insurance to replace the window, and they sent me to a place that could get it done for $230 and the soonest was that following Monday. So I got on the phone and made other calls to other places and found MS Glass Outlet and they gave me a price much much cheaper than that I couldn't refuse and I could have it done that day! Given that I'd been driving around for over 6 months with my window jammed closed, I thought it might be an idea to have someone "unjam" it, so I could at least pay parking attendants without having to reach over the top of the door, cash in hand. These guys had the best price for an hour's worth of labour (I had the part) and I waited while they tore off the door panel. I heard way too much hammering and they kept putting tools and things on my roof (the paint scratches very easily) but they did do the job, as promised. The window now works beautifully (nice to be able to open it in this sweltering heat) but I wish they'd been a little less heavy handed while replacing the window winder handle. Surely a piece of wood to absorb the blows of the hammer would have prevented the metal fascia getting dented...and it would have made me a great deal happier as a customer. Had my windshield replaced at their Beaverton, OR location. The quote was significantly less than quotes from other Seattle shops. Well, you get what you paid for, I guess. Within a year, I'm calling because the window molding has popped off the window. Called the Beaverton location and was told to come in at 2pm. When I arrived, I was told to come back in at least an hour. Very dirty location and shop area looks filthy. Waiting area smells of stale food. read more

I needed to replace the passenger's window of my Nissan Maxima, the replacement was there the next morning, done in 1 and half hour, the interior was vacuumed and costed me $150 plus tax only. Was referred to this place by my auto shop. Good: they replaced the glass, it was cheaper than a mobile service and apparently did the service properly. Bad: horrible customer service, he was rude and complained about how long it took to do the service like it was my fault and also said I hadn't told him the window had been smashed out and that another tech had already tried to do the service even though I specifically told him on the phone before I brought it in. Only giving 2 starts cause I feel bad for homeboy receptionist. One star if he wasn't working there. I went in to get a simple driver window replaced after a break in and they got me in quick which was great. Got my car back and notice the glass is slanted and, when rolled up, hits the top and comes back down half way. Immediately show them and they say I need to take it to Toyota to have them reprogram it. My 2006 windows don't need programming I even called Toyota to confirm and explain everything and Troy at Toyota says to take it back and have them actually fix it. Also says it doesn't need reprogramming it just needs to be timed so it knows where the top is. I take it back and explain what Toyota says and dude says "I worked at Toyota for 20 years they just want to sell you new glass" first of all homie if you worked there for 20 years you would know my 16 year old car doesn't need reprogramming. And second they didn't even try selling me anything they said go back and get it fixed. Give them my car at 9 and get it back at 3. Manger has been trying to reach me all day, not. I called them and receptionist dude said to come back in. Love the receptionist dude he's the only one doing his job. I go in and they explain the same BS they threw at me last time saying "the brain of the motor needs to be reset by Toyota." I explain all that needs to be done is a retime of the window motor. They just keep throwin the same shit. And he says if I know so much about it why don't I do it myself. I Would if I had the time but now I know it would have been have been faster to do myself. Also what's really funny is he said "it's in at least that's good enough" haha in and fixed are 2 different things especially when I'm paying you to fix. Had them take the window out and refund me and homeboy receptionist was helpful and quick with it. Pretty dumb I had to do all these steps for a simple door window fix. It was rude and uncalled for that he insisted that I tell him why I had to cancel. Which it was none of his business. This is very unprofessional. Unfortunately, my husband clicked on MS Glass' website instead of All-Star's after googling windshield repair/replacement (MS Glass's website is the first paid advertisement listed). The person they sent out did replace the windshield, but unfortunately, they also left glass in our carport and left rubber stripping in our bushes. My husband called the company to see if they could send the guy back (he hadn't been gone for too long at that point) to use his industrial vac to vacuum up the glass, and apparently the lady on the phone told my husband that they wouldn't clean up a mess that we created. My husband went on to explain that the glass wasn't there prior to their tech coming to our house, but she still said she didn't know if there was anything that could be done. My husband had to call a few more times, and had to deal with the same lady on the phone (who apparently has no customer service skills), until they finally sent the tech back to vacuum up the glass that was left. I'm giving them two stars because my husband did say the tech was nice (even if he made a mess when replacing the windshield). We called All-Star afterwards and sadly, we found out that the prices were comparable to MS Glass'. We've had good experiences with All-Star in the past, and next time (hopefully there won't be a next time...at least for a while!) we'll definitely call All-Star. read more

I needed my windshield resealed because it was leaking. I was referred to MS Glass by a well respected auto body shop. I went right over and parked in their lot. Someone begins blowing their horn; I see some big guy in a car behind me staring me down. I move to another location and while turning by car around this person blows past me in the car, sneering and shaking his head at me. He quickly drives the car into their shop with a familiarity of the place that said to me he was an employee. I left the place with a bad taste in my mouth. If they do not want my business I am not at all inclined to trust them with my car. MS Glass you might want to consider training for all there about the value of welcoming new business, rather than sneering them away. read more

My partner and I went to this place in a bind because our travel window guy couldn't fix our window. Our car got broken into the night before and we work a lot. The travel window guy couldn't fix it because our Audi was special and needed a special tool to get the window out or something like that. We called them same day and got us an appointment the next. They held our car there for us for free because it was raining and we live in apartment with street parking. They said the car will be done by 1pm and it was done an hour early! Customer service was quick, easy, and kind. The boys in the shop are quick and efficient. The cost was much lower than quoted from the travel window guy ($160 cheaper!) It's been a week and the window is doing just fine. I definitely recommend this place for anyone if they need fast, good quality, and pricing for their window fix! P.S. I see reviews saying that the boys in the shop are rude, they are not rude. They are just strictly business. They do their job well. Don't be a sissy when it comes to "customer service." read more

This place is rad. I started the day going to the dog park with my pup and came back to a smashed window(2006 Subaru Forester) and my shit gone (my fault, I shouldn't have left it in the car). This place definitely looks sketchy from the exterior, but they got the job done when I needed it! The owner, Gil was super friendly and provided great customer service in a quick and timely manner. My passenger rear window got completely smashed and I called around to get quotes. I got referred here by one of my friends and also a nearby auto service business who contracts window repairs/replacements with them. I called to get a quote over the phone before I went in and Gil was able to schedule me in the same day, just a few hours after I called! Since my car is a second hand, and the windows have an after-market tint, Gil let me know that it would cost an extra $50, which I am glad he acknowledged and he didn't try to scam me. The service on my car only took an hour so I walked across to the Fred Meyer to do a little grocery shopping. By the time I was done, my car got a new window! Plus they vacuumed all the broken glass inside my car! I am definitely pleased with the outcome of my new window and would recommend this place to others! I too got a recommendation from a friend for this place. I too got there and saw the place was a dump, but trusted the friend that recommended them. Cutting to the chase, they did a horrible job. I know my truck is 30 years old, and the primary reason I stuck with the bad windshield all these years was for fear of getting a lousy job done replacing it. Well guess what, that is exactly what happened. They likely saw an old Toyota pickup that they could care less about. They were actually standing inside the vehicle on both sides when I got back from a walk instead of using ladders. If this were a priceless beamer or something, I would have opened up a major can of whoopass. There is black goop everywhere, they used way too much and did a very poor job re-installing the chrome trim, not too mention the scratches on the hood of the truck. They also got black goop on my floor mats. Sadly, I waited till I got home to inspect and I am not doing another trip back to Seattle to have them try to make it right. It is beyond that at this point. My old trusty 30 year old Toyota that I have owned since new will never be the same. I vote for paying extra to go elsewhere. Had I been smart and reviewed them versus trusting a friend, I know I would have. That was my mistake. read more

If you want glass technicians who are fast to blame others (including you), make excuses, treat you like garbage, tie up all your free time and work time waiting around so they can do a simple job -- please call MS Glass Outlet. I contacted MS Glass Outlet to fix a broken window after my car was broken into. I worked with the sales contact to coordinate with my insurance company, make payment, and set the appointment. Although I was going to be away for a business trip, I was told that my leaving my car unlocked, the technicians could arrive, install the new window and BAM! Problem solved. This is not what happened. The company showed up at my house two different days with the wrong glass each time. They photographed the car on the first day to show which window was broken, but didn't photograph or copy the VIN number in the windsheild (which the dealer needed for the custom glass order). Another two days were lost in waiting for the VIN number so they could order the glass. Oh, and apparently, I have to be there or give them a key to do the work -- which was not what I was told when I made the appointment. So now I have to miss work, too? Their technicians, in preparing to install the second incorrect window, left shards of glass all over my driveway and did not clean it up before leaving. They replaced the hole with an ugly piece of cardboard and some bright blue tape. I was then told that the technicians only clean up after a job -- and they still haven't performed the work. I was told to take my broom outside and sweep up the driveway if there was glass in it. The district manager has not returned my phone calls over the past few days. I was told he is too busy to respond to messages until 1 pm, and that if he gets to it, he will call me in the afternoon. I'm still waiting. The receptionist was condescending and unprofessional. She told me that if I call asking for the status of a project, that I should be prepared to answer several questions. (Obviously). When pressed to answer, "Is this acceptable?", my main point of contact told me it was my fault for not providing the right information! If I could buy back the time I've lost to these unprofessionals, I would. I've wanted to cancel the order and have them charge the money back to my card but I'm so fearful they will mess that up, too! I'm going on 10 days of having a broken window, and all that I learned is that I'm the dummy for letting them make this right. I should have cancelled the order early last week and picked another shop. The only reason I'm giving them any stars at all is because the first person I spoke with did an excellent job of setting up the appointment and coordinating with insurance. read more
