    Egusi soup & fufu

For the longest time I have been wanting to try fufu as it is trending on tiktok, luckily there happened to be a restaurant near by and I had to try. I called ahead to order & the gentlemen working was very helpful as I didn't know what or how to ask for the right one. There are many soups to choose from that also comes with meat, with a side of fufu or rice. I got the egusi soup/ fufu with a little bit of spicyness. Although it is pretty expensive for one serving but it will get you FULL: It was so good, totally worth it & would definitely recommend. Payments: Cash & Card only, no apple pay Unfortunately i did have to learn the hard way, that they did not accept apple pay. The gentleman helping me did give me an option to zelle.

If i could give this food 10 stars i would! Fist time trying and it was excellent. Service was nice but he men are very friendly .ambience was great .

Close till January 2025 but still close on January 10,2025

CLOSE don't bother, sign said will be reopen in January 2025 but still close and it January 10... not sure if the food is good but communication isn't their thing.

Nobody's inside the restaurant, empty. There is a different sign on top.

Are they out of business??? I drove 22 minutes here, I arrived at 2pm, the sign says open. A lot of reviews said they are never open on their business hours. No note on the door. I intentionally came late. The food on their displayed menu outside says JOY, Caribbean and African Food but it doesn't show agusi or fufu but some reviews say they have it. I tried to push and pull the door twice, it was locked. I looked through the glass, in one corner there is only 1 table with a few chairs upside down on them at 2pm. Nobody was inside the restaurant and no food or any sign of activity inside with chairs upsidedown. Just an empty counter. Lights were turned off, just the "open" sign was on. The sign outside is with a different business name on it for catering services for Caribbean and African food. I wanted to buy ingredients for African food, also. Are they shut down permanently? I came here because they have 100 on health score. Parking is awkward, no space to back up your car out of the lot. If you back up your car, you're already touching the road. This is a busy road. I'm glad it wasn't rush hour.

I love beef patties so I decided I'd give it a try! The special for Monday was goat (not my fav) and chicken...but I chose to just get patties.....until I got there. Upon arrival, the staff were very welcoming and greeted us with beautiful smiles. The music was playing gospel!!! My favorite!! Yay!! And I didn't even realize at first. Hehehe.. The establishment had snacks, drinks, clothes, fresh ginger, frozen fresh fish, oils, ice cream, soaps...you name it! They had it! When it was time to order, I told them I was skeptical of the goat and was thinking about passing on the chicken this time. BUT he insisted...and when he showed me the chicken, it looked and smelled amazing!!! So I said what the heck! I went from only getting 2 beef patties to buying 2 stewed chicken plates ($15), 4 patties ($3.75 each), 1 festival bread ($0.99) and 2 coco breads ($2.75 each) for a total of about ($60-$65). Everything was a 10/10!!!! No kidding!!!! We also got 2 mango drinks (less than $5 for both) and a pack of sherly cookies ($2.50). One of the drinks was 100% juice, and they had many other traditional Jamaican beverages as well as non-alcoholic drinks. I live in the Berkeley area but I will be making the drive again and again!! I'm hooked! :), "Every Little Thing Jamaican" is everything I've been looking for I Jamaican food!!! May God continue to bless you family, and I thank you for allowing me to experience a little piece of Jamaica....in Cali! See you soon!! WWJD.. :) BTW: The pictures don't do enough justice! Jamin Jerk Kitchen is exactly the kind of Bay Area vendor that reminds you why our food culture is…read moreso strong diverse, intentional, and rooted in community. The jerk chicken was beautifully executed. Smoky, well-marinated, and layered with flavor without being overpowering. It wasn't aggressively spicy or one-dimensional; instead, it had depth, the kind that tells you the seasoning had time to develop. The meat was tender, cooked through, and balanced perfectly between char and juiciness. The rice and peas were equally satisfying -- flavorful enough to stand alone but clearly designed to complement the protein. And the plantains were caramelized just right: soft, sweet, and not overly oily. What really stands out is the care. Nothing felt rushed or generic. As a vendor operation, it would be easy to cut corners but this feels like food made with pride. The Bay Area has no shortage of Caribbean spots, but Jamin Jerk Kitchen holds its own with quality and consistency. This isn't just good jerk, it's thoughtful, well-prepared food served with the kind of warmth and presence that keeps you coming back. Definitely worth seeking out wherever they're posted next.

Oh Mah Gawd this food is INSANE!…read more I now know why they call it Jerk Chicken, it's because your coworkers will call you a Jerk for not sharing! My 5 coworkers and I decided to try Jam N Jerk Kitchen out so we ordered some plates for 6 people. The owner did a Paula Abdul and "Straight now tell me" and told me the most cost effective way to get our order which was the mini-catering option. Let me tell you, she was absolutely right! The value of the the quality of the food on as well as the amount you get is fantastic (take a look at the pics). We ordered a medley of everything, the Jerk Fish, Jerk Chicken, Oxtails, Rasta Pasta, Jam n Cheez, Rice N Peas, all were incredible. The chicken was so flavorful, the oxtails fall off the bone, the fish with the mango salsa was kickin, and the jam n Cheeze was sooooo gooey! The food was so good in fact that our coworkers demanded us to share! The food literally made me believe in love again, so I called my wife and said "Honey I believe in Love again and Love you, to which she responded, I love you too but you better bring me home that food!" Some tips to make your experience Rad 1. The menu on their site is merely just a guide regarding prices and what is available. When the owners contact you they will tell you the prices and have your best interest in mind and guide you to what is right for you. 2. The address will take you to a large complex. Find the pool and leasing office and that is the location to pick up your food. Again the love they put in the food, the quantity of what you get, and the taste makes this a must have!
