If there was an option to choose "0" stars, I'd use it. I visited this warehouse 4-5 times and was made to feel an inconvenience every time by every person in the place. We were having a large house built and I needed granite for a large kitchen, three bathrooms and a laundry room, and I'd been better treated when buying a pair of shoes. Do not trust these people. I knew Costa Esmerelda is sourced from Iran, but they told me it was from Brazil. Do yourself a favor and deal with a professional and courteous distributor - there are plenty of them out there, but MS International is not one of them. read more

If zero stars were an option this place would get it! My wife and I went to pick two slabs out for our new kitchen, and they had exactly what we were looking for. We "tagged" them and gave them our info to contact the fabricator and get things moving. One week later we find out they sold one of the slabs and it was already in fabrication else were. Which means they did not do S**t when we picked out the slabs and took our info. Instead they turned around and sold them right off to someone else. Upon calling to find out what happened my wife was treated VERY rudely and even hung up on! They would not tell us what happened to the slab. The whole thing was ridiculous. This place is awful stay away! We should have read the reviews before going since we are not the only ones with a bad experience. How do you treat people so horribly in such a business? Cabinet supplier recommended visiting them to review granite. Called beforehand and was told the product I was interested in was in stock. Drove TWO hours only to be told that the 2 slabs there were sold. Young woman was very cold and not interested in being helpful (she was also the one I had spoken to on the phone). She advised an order would be coming in in about 3 weeks. We left our number and asked her to call. Never heard a word. Called today and told order wouldn't be coming in until end of the month. When I told her I was very disappointed with their business as were others I had heard, she transferred me to Jaya who was a little more helpful and said the next shipment would be Fri. I went to MSI two times looking for some granite to match with my kitchen furniture. Sasikala Pathapati was of great help in selecting the slab I wanted. She also made the arrangements to show me the next two slabs available of which I picked one. Very pleasant, polite and polished young salesperson, a pleasure to work with on such a sensitive purchase. Read the Reviews!!! That's what I should of done before I went to this very unprofessional, deceitful warehouse. After much research as to what type/color slab of granite I wanted for my newly renovated kitchen (which was in process at that time), I was advised by the fabricator to go MSI to see if they carried the particular slab "Silver cloud". After being advised by one of the warehouse employees that the particular granite I was looking for was on a truck en route to MSI in Norwood, I was told to call within the next week or two to inquire if the granite had arrived. I called every 2-3 days and the person answering the phone could barely speak English and had absolutely no knowledge of what was in the warehouse or what was coming in and continued to tell me to call back in a couple of days!! Finally after 2 weeks of waiting I showed up at the warehouse to perhaps pick out another stone, since the contractors were almost finished with the kitchen and I need to get the job finished. After browsing the warehouse and a very helpful young man walk around with me, I mentioned the "Silver Cloud" granite that I had my heart set on, still had not come in and that I would have to settle for something else because I needed it for completion of the construction of my kitchen. He looked at me puzzled and said "the truck came in yesterday with the slabs of Silver Cloud Granite"! I was so shocked by this, because I had called and spoke with the person at the front office that answers the phone and she AGAIN told me to call back in another few days to see if the truck was on it's way!!! HELLO? Did she not know that a big shipment worth thousand of dollars had just arrived the night before?? Employee showed me the slabs that had already come off the truck and although I liked one better that was on the truck and would not get moved out until the next day, I decided to pick the one that was just on the forklift, which was a beautiful slab, I looked at it for at least 15 minutes, inspecting it and taking photos of it and decided to purchase it. Filled out the paper work, put my name on it, paperwork was faxed to the fabricator. 2 days later I arrived at the fabricator to sit with her and design the countertop. I went to look at the stone and it was not my stone, it had a few defects on it and it wasn't quite as beautiful as the one I had tagged!! Called MSI and they apologized and said that they would send the correct stone in a couple of days, as the truck was already out that day and it was a Friday! The following Tuesday they delivered another stone to the fabricator. I showed up to look at the stone and design the counters. AGAIN it was the wrong stone!!! I showed up at the warehouse and demanded to speak with a manager!! He came out was extremely arrogant, stating that they had sent the right stone, I showed him pictures on phone that I had taken of the slab I picked out and pictures don't lie!!! He insisted that it was the right slab, but no apologies or talk of righting what went wrong and I stormed out of there. Went back to the fabricator to get my money back, which I had already been paid for and she informed me that when the driver delivered the stone, she asked him where the stickers/tags were and he replied he didn't think it was the right stone, that the tags/stickers had been taken off of the stone. I will never recommend this company to anyone else, they were rude and arrogant and quite honestly, I'm not sure how they are still in business! I found my stone a Bedrock Stone and Granite and had it installed with no problems and it looks amazing. read more

Did a major remodel in my kitchen and guest bath. My cabinet maker suggested a few different places to look for the granite for my kitchen and marble for the half bath. I went to three places including MSi. MSI was the only one that had the stone color and quality I was searching for. And they were very helpful with my selections. I'll admit I was skeptical after reading some of the yelp reviews but honestly my experience was really good. They had the best selection by far, were very friendly and easy to work with and made the entire experience a joy! I would definitely recommend them and plan to return when I get to the master bath renovations later this year. read more

I've had a wonderful experience with MSI. I went there to pick out granite for my kitchen counter. They have a variety of colors to choose from. The greeter and the person assisting me in the warehouse were very friendly and ready to help. He didn't get tired of showing me different slabs even though I was being picky and making him move a lot of the material. The salesperson that I was working with was also very friendly and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I did go to Marble & Granite before MSI based on past reviews, but they didn't have the color I needed and were not very customer-oriented. I have to say that I was extremely pleased with my visit to MS International this past Monday (11/30). The whole crew was very kind and not to mention very knowledgable about the different materials. Their extensive knowledge was not only impressive but also immensely helpful to me, as I went in not knowing exactly what type of stone I wanted to purchase. I must also mention that I didn't feel at all rushed or pressured throughout the entire process; they seemed enthused to work with me which was refreshing because this is definitely not always the case with big companies. After reading other reviews, I almost didn't visit this place. I decided to roll the dice since I was headed in this direction anyway. I'm so glad I did! I was looking for granite to replace the original slabs I had picked from my fabricator that were cut incorrectly (eek!). This place has a huge selection of both granite and marble. I was extremely happy to not be bothered with any pushy salesmen while I roamed the floor freely. There was plenty of staff in the warehouse ready to answer any questions I had. Once I selected a slab, it was an extremely easy process to put the slab on hold. They communicated the information to my fabricator the next business day (I visited on Saturday) and my slabs were delivered on the next truck to CT. EXTREMELY happy with the service, professionalism and selection!! Definitely recommend!! read more

This place is awful. Everyone is rude and miserable - particularly one person named Brian. I was told by my fabricator I could tag my three slabs- a job costing thousands- and they were so rude about showing me the slabs. I told them I could go elsewhere, and then they showed me the slabs I wanted. I need more granite and assure you I will no go back there again. Please take your business elsewhere! I had a very positive experience here. I read the Yelp reviews and was not looking forward to checking this place out, but my visit was totally different. We are picking stone for a remodeled kitchen. MSI had a greeter at the entrance to the huge warehouse where the slabs are kept. She explained the process (grab a hard-hat, look around, find what you like, then find an MSI employee with a clipboard to mark your slab). I told the greeter what I was interested in, and she pointed me to where some options might be. I asked her some questions about different stone options and she knew just what she was talking about. I had some further questions about a particular type of stone, and a different employee (one of the guys with the clipboard) was super helpful - explained maintenance of the stone, how the appearance might change over time, suggested some comparisons to check out before we decided. They were all just very helpful, totally willing to let me spend some time, answered all my questions, tagged the stone and told me what was next, etc., etc. MSI has small samples of many of the stones that you can take with you, which is going to come in handy for matching up backsplash, etc. The negative reviews seem to be from a while back - maybe they've updated their customer service? This is one place to be if you are doing your kitchen or bath. The vast array of granite, marble and quartz are amazing. Since we were keen on granite we hard-hatted ourselves (safety first) and walked into the space that displayed their collection. Rows and rows of granite slabs from the world over stacked together - patterns, colors all overwhelming. We had help from Rachelle ( most call her Rachel) who checked records, walked around with us and also accessed records to tell us what was available and what was on hold. She then requested more slabs from their warehouse of the specific type we wanted and we finally went with it. And all through she was polite, professional and all that added to our wonderful experience at MSI. Kitchen renovation can really turn lives upside down but this experience was the one "up" in our process to get a finished kitchen. Highly recommend this place and ask for Rachelle! read more

I want to thank Brian and Oscar for doing such a great job finding a slab of granite that I wanted that was in pristine condition! MS International has a wide variety of granite to choose from. I was greeted courteously at the front desk and was taken into the warehouse to allow me to look at the different types of granite. I arrived at a particularly busy time so you may need to be patient and wait for the staff to assist you. The two lots of the granite available for the crema perla granite that I wanted had very large veins in them. Granite is a natural substance and MS International cannot control how "Mother Nature" formed the rock. Brian had a ready smile and sincere wish to help me. He asked me to wait a few times while he checked the warehouse and with his co-workers. His co-worker, Oscar, found a beautiful crema perla slab with no veins in it, that was not out on the warehouse floor which I subsequently purchased. I appreciated the extra effort they made to find me a perfect slab for my new kitchen countertops. Good things come to those who wait!! I later met the owner who was both personable and responsive to me as well. I was very nervous to visit MSI due to the poor ratings, however we couldn't have had a better experience. I really think they've done some serious customer service training recently because ALL the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We were greeted at the door by two women who checked us in and then guided us through to the back. At the door there was (I'm guessing) the floor manager who explained the process to us and answered any questions we had. Once we were ready to tag our piece of marble, the associate was very helpful and professional. We went to MSI expecting horrible customer service and couldn't have been any more pleased. Something to note though, we arrived before 10am on a Saturday and it was busy, but not overwhelming. By the time we left closer to 11am, the place was mobbed and I imagine the level of customer service might not be quite what we received. I truly feel this place has taken to heart some of its negative feedback and turned themselves around (or maybe we just had an abnormal experience, although I doubt it). Also, feel it's important to note that we had a fairly smallish order with their budget level granite, so we definitely did not receive the big customer-only VIP treatment. read more

The management must have read the past posts because my experience at MSI was very different from what I read on Yelp before I visited their showroom. When I walked into their showroom there was a smiling, friendly young woman with a big name tag standing at the door greeting me and my elderly mother. My kitchen counter granite fabricator in RI had recommended I visit their supplier, MSI so I could see all the options available in full slabs. I happened to be coming back from taking my mom to a doc's appt. in Boston and decided to take her in with me for a quick browsing session. The greeter took my information, offer us coffee and then took us into the warehouse. She gave us hardhats, explained where we could browse and what to look for. She introduced us to another young lady who would be nearby to answer any questions we had. I picked out some samples and the lady helped me find full slabs so I could see what they looked like. Mom went back to their nice showroom to sit down and enjoy some tea while I made the rounds of all the slabs of granite. My only disappointment was they did not have take-home samples of 3 of the 6 possible choices of granite I liked. Because I had to get mom home, I did not have time to ask all the questions I had but all the staff there I spoke to were friendly and helpful. I will go back when I have more time. Based on the reviews I read about this company, I dreaded going to this business, but I had no choice as this was the supplier used by the kitchen designer/granite fabricator we selected. I went there today (Tuesday, May 13 at 1:00) and was so pleased with the service, I decided I should write a review. I didn't have an appointment (I was told I didn't need one when I called about a week ahead) and expected to wait an unreasonable amount of time before being helped. Instead, I was offered help immediately upon entering the store. The assistant (Surbhi Patel- Sales Associate)promptly took us (I brought my adult daughter along) from the showroom to the warehouse area, gave us hard hats, and asked if we knew the granite we wanted. I had tentatively selected New Venetian Gold, so she brought me to those slabs. I looked at the front most slab, and noticed most in the stack were similar, but there was a slightly different color about 8 slabs back. She confirmed that this piece was actually from a different lot #, and asked if I wanted to see it. She also asked if I wanted to browse other slabs in the warehouse before making a decision. We decided to browse a bit, without any pressure from the assistant, and then I asked to see the New Venetian Gold from the other lot #. The assistant called one of the workers over (we had to wait a few minutes while a truck left the warehouse before he could come over with the moving apparatus) and he moved the slabs for us so I could see the one I wanted. My daughter and I both thought he wasn't wild about doing this, but the body language was subtle and he never vocalized anything. I actually ended up selecting the slab when I has a chance to see it, and I think we received a semi-smile at that point. Meanwhile, the assistant was amazingly patient the entire time. She answered all my questions, wrote up the Material Selection Form, allowed me to compare the Lot# on the form to that on the slab, and then escorted us back to the Showroom, where she gave me a copy of the form. She said she would Fax it to the fabricator, but I also plan to call it in. All in all, it was an amazingly positive experience, especially compared to the reviews I had read. I'm not sure if it was because we went on a weekday, or we got lucky with our assistant/Sales Associate, but I would not hesitate to go back to this supplier. read more

After reading reviews i was preparing myself for the worst but had a really great experience while there on Friday 7/18/2014 I was greeted when i walked through the door by a very nice lady who explained how you toured the facility safely. Every thing was labeled and she explained the different price levels of the granite and was there to answer any questions that we had.She also pointed out the flooring and back splashes they carry. We picked out a slab of granite we liked and another lady was there to help us get a better look at the slab of granite by lifting it up with a crane and bringing it to us for a better look. Could' not have asked for better service! I also called before i went to make sure they had the slabs i wanted available to view. Maybe these people who gave reviews came on a busy day but they also have to realize it takes time to deal with a customer too. Especially when there so thorough.They had plenty of employees as well.
