There's not a huge variety of food at the buffet, but what they serve is very good. All two dozen or so times I've eaten here, the buffet has been freshly stocked. Waitstaff is always happy to see and to serve you. It's already pretty cheap, but if you bring in a coupon, you're down in the $8 per person range. Can't beat that for as good as the food is. Let me qualify this. We arrived for a late dinner, and the restaurant was catering two weddings that evening, so both food and staff were stretched thin. The salad looked pretty decent with Romaine lettuce. The onion bahji was good. The shrimp dish looked good. The lamb curry was good. I finished the pan, and the folks that arrived after us were left without any lamb. The chicken curry was a bit thin. The vegetable curry was good, as was the chicken makhani. I went for the dinner buffet. The waitstaff were great, very friendly and accommodating. The vibe is a bit barren- it was isolated for a Saturday night and the lighting is dim, giving it an off feel. I remember booths but don't think they had any tables. The food is fine, I've had better. This is primarily an Indian restaurant. I recommend the meat dishes over the vegetable ones. Favorite place in all of Fort Collins. GO TO THE LUNCH BUFFET! This place doesn't look like much from the outside but MAN, the food the AWESOME. I'm usually not a fan of vegetarian dishes or even eggplant -- but the eggplant curry is a must. If you still don't want vegetarian -- their tandoori chicken is perfect -- moist and seasoned well. Their naan is the best I've had. Service is quick and attentive -- no waiting around for my drink to be refilled or plates to be taken away. Prices are great, too. The service here was so bad, it was almost laughable. They were not friendly, they were not attentive, borderline rude. It's too hard to even describe how bad the experience here was. Went out to dinner for the buffet special. Things were going okay. Food wasn't very fresh. Barely warm. Went for seconds hoping they add fresh food (they didn't). As we were eating our second plate my girlfriend found a beetle (stink bug) in her dish. Blown away I showed the waitress (wishing I had taken a photo) and she simply said "oh no" and went to the back kitchen. As I payed the bill she said "the kitchen checks before and shouldn't happen". It's a buffet and foods moved around. It doesn't matter when it happened. I HAD A BEETLE IN MY FOOD. This is such a great local restaurant! The people are so kind and the service is really great. I would recommend the chai tea and the naan. Don't go here for dinner. We thought $9.95 was a good price. There wasn't much selection and of what curries were there, they all tasted the same. Nearly everything was spicy too. The eggplant curry and samosa were.... pretty good. But the buffet was hardly worth $9.95. We figured it was a fair buffet price. When we went to ring up it was $15 a plate! Immediate regret followed. The staff is kind, but not very attentive. We kept running out of water trying to drown the spice. For me, the spice was mild. Such a cute restaurant with some of the nicest people working there, not to mention that their food is great! They have probably the best Indian food in Fort Collins! Their lunch and dinner buffets are such a deal, especially when you consider how much I eat when I go there. The same amount and variety of food would cost you an arm and a leg at Taj Mahal. My favorites include the naan, samosas, sag paneer, tandoori chicken, tikka masala, and eggplant curry. Also, check out the rice pudding and bannana panang with carrot chutney (?) for dessert. I want to make sure more people keep going there, because I always feel sad when the restaurant is nearly empty. It would be such a shame for such a great place to close. PS. I have eaten here for years. The food continues to be delicious, but the service has declined so much that we will no longer be eating here. The lunch buffet opens at 11, and when we walked in at 11, they informed us that the buffet wouldn't be open for 10 more minutes. Really, it didn't open until 11:35, and was missing all the popular items from the buffet. It's now noon and there is still no chicken tandoori or masala. This restaurant consistently does not make enough naan bread, so that when they do bring out three pieces at a time, it is a bloodbath as patrons swarm and grab at the naan with teeth gnarled like hungry dogs. As with any Indian eatery, you can expect a lunch buffet here... unfortunately, the grub was no different than a typical "Indian Buffet." I didn't find anything particularly "Nepalese" here, but maybe that's both my ignorance and the restaurant's desire to cater to American palates playing in. It might be more advantageous if you are searching for some of their more traditional dishes to err on the side of ordering an actual meal. It seems that the buffet is pretty mainstream, in general. We used to love coming here but as of the last two trips it's been pretty bad. Not only is the buffet not being replenished in a timely fashion, you have to practically hunt someone down to pay your bill. Went here for lunch based off the Yelp reviews, Me and my wife had the buffet - The only con, was the choices were somewhat limited however it didn't matter, everything we tried (which was everything basically) was wonderful and I got my moneys worth and then some. There was not a lot of Vegetarian dishes available to those who are interested, however the options they did have were great and I would be happy going there for just that. The staff was kind, very friendly and a treat to talk to. We had a buy one get one free coupon for the buffet and the kind gentleman let us keep the coupon in the hopes we will come back again (and we plan to) Looking forward to trying their non buffet items in the near future, this couple had nothing but a wonderful experience, unless you are the most picky about Asian/Indian foods we could not imagine you not enjoying your dinner/lunch here. read more

We usually order the buffet here, but I have ordered off the menu as well. They make delicious dumplings and on snowy days nothing is better than there Sherpa stew. Another enjoyable dinner at Mt Everest last night. We all had the buffet. I love their dal soup. I can imagine a thermos of it on a cold day on the mountain! I like their spinach saag as you can actually tell it is spinach instead of just mush. The chicken tika masala was deliciously flavored/spiced and the chicken was quite tender. Service was efficient. This is a great go-to if you're ever in the mood for some awesome flavors. The Chicken Tikka Masala ($13.95) is my favorite entree. The restaurant has a very quiet, peaceful atmosphere which is a wonderful breath of fresh air from the busy din of central Fort Collins. My only major complaint is that NO ONE on staff at this establishment speaks English very well at all. They make assumptions when you walk in that you want to eat only from the buffet, so they don't even offer you a menu. It took way more effort than it should trying to explained to two mystified middle eastern staffers that I merely wanted to order off the menu instead of the buffet which was quite annoying and made me very uncomfortable. read more

I came here with a local friend while visiting Colorado and we had the lunch buffet with mango lassies and he got a Chai tea all of it was delicious and our server Tenzin was very kind. The samosas and tamarind sauce were great, as were the saag and the eggplant curry! I think this is the best Indian buffet I have been to in the states. I highly recommend it. When we were planning to eat here, my friend advised that we shouldn't arrive right at the beginning or end of the lunch service because they might not have as much food available, so I just wanted to pass that advice on.
