We made reservations to dine in on a busy Sunday and I'm glad we did. It was a full house! The menu has all the standard breakfast fare. I decided on their version on huevos rancheros. The egg was cooked perfectly runny. Tons of spices and sauces going on. It was a bit too vinegary for my personal liking, but it was a delicious savory breakfast that was different than my usual order of an omelette or breakfast platter. My friend got a pancake flight (how cool is that?!) and the pancakes were huge! Visually they looked a bit on the dark side. But they were very filling. We also tried the chicken and waffles. The chicken was great, the waffle was not crispy at all. Both complimented each other well. The best part... our server was fast, on it, and well seasoned. This place is a modern breakfast eatery that has a bar and open concept which shares with a Mexican eatery. The food was great but beware of big portions. Great coffee choices and if your a decaf person, the decaf was great tasting. I would recommend this place for breakfast. This place was very delicious. I got the Denver egg omelets with the sage sausage gravy- must have! It was great, very fluffy and not overcooked. It's my hesitancy to not order omelettes because I feel like in general they're overcooked, but this was very fluffy and moist and flavorful. I also got the strawberry shortcake pancake for the side and it was delicious as well. I'm told this particular location is moving to a new location so I'm wishing them all the best. I'm from out of town, but if you're local, you need to be supporting this restaurant the service was amazing. Urban egg is a cute spot. It's clean and has ample seating. Service was good, but mostly because of the hosts, the manager, and a nearby server. Our server wasn't very attentive. The manager stopped by after about 10 minutes of us being seated and not being greeted. She greeted us and moved us over to a booth. Another server nearby helped us more than our designated server. We ordered the tamale Benedict which is an open faced tamale, green chile, chorizo, hollandaise, paprika, and cotija. This was the best meal of the table! Definitely recommend. We also ordered the steak and eggs which is a top sirloin cap steak, roasted espresso butter, sautéed mushrooms and onions, 2 eggs, and loaded hashbrowns. I was really looking forward to the steak and eggs and it was disappointing. The steak was a little tough. The espresso butter on the steak did not vibe with the rest of the meal for me. I think a fresh chimichurri sauce on the steak removing the onions and mushrooms would've been a better option to pair with the loaded hashbrowns that are topped with jalapeños,green onions, bacon, melted cheese, and creme fraiche. I opted for scrambled eggs and maybe over medium eggs would've been better, but don't think it would've made too much of a flavor difference for me. read more

Service was overwhelmed but it was Fathers Day. Our online reservation got dropped-twice, which added another 15mins to an already 30 min wait. Hostess got us seated outside even tho we requested inside bc it was 90 degrees. It would've been another wait. So we sat outside. They have skyrocketed up and what you get for what you pay is not much Today we paid $18 for a small amount of sautéed veggies and a 1/8 of a avocado??!!!! I needed gluten free bread but id have to pay an uncharge if I wanted that even though I didn't get the eggs or cheese that was supposed to come with this dish. Did I want fruit i was asked, but only if I want to pay more money. Yeah no thanks Overpriced. Won't be back. Way to expensive these days and not really much for vegan and gluten free options. Urban Egg is right in the middle of downtown Ft Collins- very conveniently located. We arrived around 7:30am on a Saturday during Focomx music festival, and it was dead, but by the time we left around 9, the place was popping, so get there early. My husband and I started with the Mocha, which tasted like hot chocolate powder mixed into coffee, but at least it was available in decaf. The manager was very helpful when my husband managed to spill his coffee everywhere, and our server filled his cup with some drip decaf, so the service was excellent. He was also good at assisting my friend in picking a meal that didn't have pork with it. The server also recommended the Tuscan Benedict, which was top notch- it had a balsamic reduction for a bit of sweetness, balanced by fresh basil and tomato and a toasted English muffin. The hashbrowns were crispier than I preferred, but the Benedict made up for it in spades. The biscuit and gravy had a similar problem, as the biscuit was crustier than I like, although the gravy was really good, with the sage making it unique. We really loved the local hot sauces and the house made ketchup. Overall, I would absolutely recommend and come back for the Benedict, and to try other dishes. read more

Must go! We were in town for 2 days for a wedding and the morning before we had to drive to Denver airport we decided to eat at Urban Egg! BEST DECISION EVER! The coffee was incredible. The food was amazing (we got a Cinnamon Swirl pancake to share, that was to die for) we also got the chicken the egg w/gravy(10/10) with loaded hashbrowns and Breakfast Burrito with green sauce and it was elevated! This whole review is really to put a spotlight on our waitress Sarah! (Sarah with an "h") She was attentive, kind, and suggested items, real honest suggestions!! and she made it one of the most enjoyable breakfasts ever! She is so well liked, a child from another table asked to give her a hug before they left and she did, making the kids day! This was more than a great breakfast spot, it's an enjoyable experience and must try! If we lived local we would be regulars! read more

Really good. Had the corned beef hash with eggs. Not corned beef hash from a can. Real corned beef with hash browns. Never seen this before and darn good. Cappuccino was really good as well. The jelly was real fruit strawberry jam. Neat restaurant. Clean. Good solid service. My waiter Edward was very good. In all, this is what using good ingredients does. Excellent. I've rated Urban Egg before with 4 Stars. Yesterday's experience was not a 4-Star experience. My friend & I met for brunch both ordered the garden bowl. Hers was w/o hash browns, she was served a pathetic small spoonful of diced veggies with 2 poached eggs in a separate bowl. There was no grated cheese or avocado. My dish was served with hard poached eggs instead of the over medium I ordered. We never received the hot sauce or jam we ordered. Our server made lame excuses and flounced away to return later with another spoonful of vegetable. We then asked her to take the food back to the kitchen, add cheese and heat it up and return with avocado. This prompted a manager to bring the dish out to talk WTH us. He blamed the kitchen and adjusted our bill for the snafu. This was a very unfortunate meal and was not handled well in my estimation read more

Which explains the look of water damage to the portion of the backing where it meets the bench. It's also filthy. Old food on benches and floor. Our son and his fiancee just moved from Flagstaff to Ft. Collins. We came from Idaho to help them move in. We came here for breakfast this morning, a Wednesday. Located in the utterly cool downtown area, it has a rustic interior and a nice outdoor patio. There were five of us. My wife had the standard eggs, bacon, and toast. She had fresh squeezed OJ. The bacon was nice and thick. I had the protein bowl: sausage, ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. I also had a pancake. Our food was delicious, and I really liked their coffee. Our server, a young woman from the area, was super nice and gave great service. She also gave tips on the sights to see in the greater Ft. Collins area. We will be back! read more

Bigger than it looks and so nice inside. The menu for breakfast was filled with such mouth-watering options it was hard to decide. The five of us were greeted by Edward who also served our party. We were seated comfortably in the front window which was nice to look out on the quaint town. First my husband ordered his favorite, Corned Beef Hash with Sunny-side up eggs. I ordered the lightly-fried chicken with Sage Sausage gravy which I asked for on the side. I'm glad because the crisp I was of the chicken was outstanding. The hash browns were plentiful and crispy. We ordered the classic French toast with bourbon bacon on the side. We also ordered omelette a that were packed full of the fillings of our choice. And the coffee was as it should be-hot and strong. This was by far a perfect choice for our drive-thru visit to Ft. Collins. Parking on the street was convenient too. read more

I met a friend here and it was already very busy on a Monday morning. I ordered a mimosa and the protein bowl and up charged the chocolate chip pancake (worth it). It was a great atmosphere for a brunch place and our server was training someone but our service never felt lacking at all. I also appreciated how the staff really work as a team here. Another person passing by refilled my coffee for me, altho I did have to raise my cup. The best thing about the service today was how James relayed my exact wishes to the kitchen for "crisp not burnt" hash browns and bacon. They were absolutely perfect!
