This is really good authentic Indian cuisine. The Chicken Tikka Masala was perfectly prepared with all the right spices. I ordered the 2 spice level and it is very hot spice wise so if you are not used to the heat I would go with a 1 or 0. The rice is so good too! They season it with such good flavors and the garlic Naan is amazing. The service is great, Neha our server was attentive and friendly. It is not a fast food joint, they prepare everything fresh from scratch so expect to wait a bit for your food, it's not slow service just well made fresh Indian cuisine and worth the extra few minutes it takes for them to prepare it. I have been occasionally having a meal at Mt. Everest Grill and Bar for at least a year. Their food is good and the service is great. I have had their Vindaloo, Tika Misala, Korma, Jalfreji, Kadai, Aloo and Mushroom Curry, and Dal Makhani. I have eaten most of these both with lamb and vegetarian. These were all good. I have also had Garlic Naan and Onion Kulcha. They have been good. I plan to try other dishes from their menu! read more

Really only made basic curry before, you know the ones they sell at the store with an already made cubed broth. Thought that was all there was about curry, and Thai curry was pretty good too. Then we decided to try out this place, and man were we blown away. It was like a flavor after flavor explosion we've never had before. So this is what authentic Indian food tastes like. OMG this was amazing. The spice was on point, the ingredients savory, the nan was amazing. They used fresh turmeric in their appetizers and real vanilla bean in the rice pudding. They also have a full vegetarian menu option which is so rare around here. We live an hour away and made the trip just to check it out. Will definitely be going back every week. read more

Just took my mom there for lunch and haven't been there for about a year and upon arriving and getting seated I noticed it was quite warm. Had to ask the waitress to turn the AC on. We were the only people there except for a homeless person sitting about 15' away and playing a movie on his phone at max volume. He wasn't a customer because he never got a drink or food and was there when we left. Not a problem but turn down the volume. I ordered the lamb kabobs and my mom ordered soup. She said the soup was good but mine was a joke. The kabobs that weren't on a skewer was served on a bed of dry and very crispy flattened rice for $17.99. We absolutely love the food here one of our favorite places to eat. The butter chicken and the vegetable samosas are to die for. I had been dying to try the new Mt Everest Restaurant. Finally ordered some Chicken Vindaloo to go, as I was craving extra spicy Indian food. I begged for extra spicy and not a dumbed-down Sherman extra spicy. I went to pickup and asked if it was going to burn me as I requested. The gentleman asks the chef and the chef grabbed my container and went back to the kitchen to remake it "max spicy". First strike, but glad it was being resolved. I get home and taste it. It tastes NOTHING like Vindaloo. It was sweet tasting, like a bell pepper kind of sweet. Also, it still wasn't that spicy at all. And there were chunks of potato in it. I've been eating Vindaloo for many years and never had any even remotely like this. I did see serrano peppers in the dish, but they were mild. Several hours later, it gave me the runs. I was planning to try and eat the remainder of it that next day, but not after that. They either left the chicken out at room temp too long or someone didn't wash their hands. I feel like I paid $16 for naan. The only thing(s) I enjoyed was the garlic naan and some little container of some "pickles" they gave me to try. Not sure if I'll give them another chance after that experience. The staff was friendly, but it didn't appear that they were doing much to avoid any of the virus spreading except for one person who had a mask on. There was no social distancing and a woman from the kitchen walked by me so close, she almost rubbed against me. I'm high risk, so it made me nervous. Anyway, if you're looking for Vindaloo, go south on 75, closer to DFW. It's sad. Sherman needs more culture and ethnic restaurants, but not more bad food. We have too much bad food here already. I'm hoping they improve. I don't want them to fail. read more
