Awesome unique Nepali restaurant. Their food is well prepared, unique, and delicious. The only thing I would say is a negative would be that their portions are quite small for the price paid. I've had the grilled sekuwa here and it was really good. Super tender and juicy. 8/10 only bc of the portion The mixed momos were pretty good and left me satisfied. 8/10 The avocado appetizer was very unique and I really liked the texture and the sauce pairing with it. 8.5/10 This is one of my favorite Nepali spots. I hope they stay consistent and continue representing Nepali food well.

Himalayan Spice hasn't been opened for long so we gave them a try. They are known for their Momos (dumplings) so we got the Special Momo Platter which serves up four different styles of dumplings - steamed, fried, tandoori, and chili. I liked them all except the chili as the peppers were too much and distracted from the dumplings. However, it was plenty for $20. We enjoyed the Goat Curry as it had lots of meat and flavor but were not a fan of the Duck Chhoila (cube). We questioned how the duck would be cubed but it wasn't a good idea because they smashed the duck into a rectangular prism making it really tough to chew. The mango lassi was refreshing and delicious so definitely get that.

Stopped in last night with zero expectations (Frisco has an array of Indian fusion restaurants and they usually never execute) but was pleasantly surprised by how everything went. While this restaurant is tagged as a Himalayan restaurant their true Himalayan/Nepalese options are quite limited, that being said we focused on ordering what's specific to the cuisine. We got 2 types of momos, the steamed chicken and the Jhol momo which were both good. The dumplings were meaty and the filling was seasoned well without overwhelming the flavors. The dips (we got 3) were a good way to supplement them. For entree, we ordered the chicken seekuwa which is apparently authentic and it did taste very good and not similar to an Indian tandoori or tikka style dish. We also ordered the goat curry which while tasty, tasted like any other dish like a vindaloo dish minus the potatoes. Also pretty sure they served us lamb instead of goat but not a biggie. Service was a bit lacking, they saw we had dirty plates before the entrees arrive and didn't bother to change them till we asked. Bar situation is a bit odd, they have several bottles of liquor on display but when I asked if they had any beer, they lady looked at me like I asked for something crazy. lol. Some small kinks to work out but other than that pretty positive experience overall!

Food was really tasty. We tried the bhindi and paneer makhani and it had unique flavors. Good decor and friendly service. Wait-times are a bit longer than normal. Bullet naan is not spicy and hard/crispy

Butter Naan Tikka Masala Momo Chicken Prawn Mango Curry

Our favorite place for great northern Indian food! We've had take out twice and dined-in twice and it's very consistent. Super delicious chicken tikka masala, vegetable samosas, vegetable biryanis, tikka masala momos, prawn and mango curry, Dahl and butter naan. Chic and modern style in the restaurant and friendly and efficient service. Reward points on takeout orders too!

Grilled meat platter amazing. Love lamb chops

Me again! So, we've ordered the same thing from this location atleast 8 weeks in a row every…read moreSunday. Gongura chicken curry and vijayawada boneless biryani... both mild. I kid you not, the consistency of spice and bone in vs bone out has not been there. We ordered our food today ... since it's Sunday.. and I was crying eating. It was so spicy. The gongura chicken had bones this time and my 1 spoon of biryani had atleast 6 red mirchi's. It's really hard to enjoy the food when you can't even eat it! It would have been different if there weren't spice levels offered or if we ordered a hotter spice level.. I really would hate to stop our Sunday ordering tradition due to the lack of consistency so hopefully they can let the chefs know the difference in spice levels! Also, when we first ordered gongura chicken it was green and now it's red.. I was going to give 3 stars but since we went early for breakfast Saturday and they had chai ready at 830, I will give them 4. P.S.S- this location has the nicest staff. I've been to the other ones and the people are just rude!!

Indian takeout can be tricky with all the curries, naan, and rice. This location of Chowrastha did a great job. The ambiance is what you'd expect of a fast casual Indian spot in the burbs. We got the chicken tikka masala, gobi 65, pepper chicken, and the navaratan korma. A huge plus of this location is that entrees come with naan and rice. In this day and age of inflation and prices, most places make you choose one which always drives us crazy since we all know white rice costs almost nothing and goes so well with the curries! The food itself was all delicious and tasty. My favorite was the gobi 65. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Super tasty. The pepper chicken was a little light on the chicken side for me (ratio of breading to chicken was too high since the chicken pieces were smaller) but others loved it. The naan was super moist and tasty. They also have several specials and BOGO days posted at the store. Highly recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area!

IF you have HIGH standards and care about QUALITY ingredients (and I mean, no junkie ingredients) read on, my friend. This review is for people who can appreciate food made from scratch, with love, with clean purified water, WITHOUT inflammatory oils, and with integrity. That being said, why should I list off what I ate? Anything you order here is delicious. Get curious, try something new, or look for something familiar. It's all tasty and special. The employees care so much about their food, they are more than happy to accommodate you. And they will strive to please you and make your experience special. We started out with fried veggie pakoras, tried some veg and non veg options (a delicious mutton curry) , were given a sample of a chef's favorite and ended with a hot masala chai. Don't forget to grab some homemade ghee, crispy snacks (remember, they made it with better oils!) and stock up on your favorite yogurts treats from the treat fridge. A truly special place. Support this family business. They are doing everything RIGHT!
