As someone who travels full time, I have never encountered such a firm refusal. Seriously? It's AIR. While I realize the equipment costs money to maintain, we were happy to spend money in the shop. Went back and told them it did not work and they asked if I put the right code in and gave me the same code. Tried it again and it did not work. Finally just left and went to Burger King and used their bathroom. No code needed. Do they have a serious homeless problem here where people are trying to use the bathroom? Frustrating. Will try another gas station when coming through this town on the next trip.

He's a nice man. But the woman on the phone, customer service???,was extremely rude to both myself and my husband. Unacceptable! When my husband called and told her that the oil had not been delivered, she basically called him a liar and said that he didn't know what he was talking about.Amazingly,45 mins. later, the oil was delivered. No call back to confirm its delivery. End of story. Attitude is everything. We won't be calling them again.

If I could give 10 stars I would!!…read more Talk about service!!! These guys are amazing. The skid plate came lose and with every bump we hit, so did the skid plate. Had to pull off, get a hotel room and after 5 calls to mechanics, chanced it that these guys would help. Boy did they! No fuss, happy to help, gave the kids toys and had us back on the road in 10 minutes. They didn't hesitate to help me out and wouldn't charge me!! I really appreciate their help and excellent service. All other mechanics in town, take a lesson from these guys.

July 23, 2015 at 4:47pm After noticing a burning smell while driving down the mountain with a friend into town from our campsite, and checking the oil to see that it seemed to be empty, The Pit Stop was the first place we found. Although Chad was pretty swamped, he managed to fit my friend's car in in about an hour and not only filled the oil and alerted her to a big leak(and gave us pointers on how to keep on top of it for the drive home to San Francisco), but also vacuumed the floor of the front seat of the car. The other place in town we called took my number and didn't call back til the next day. No big, folks are busy, but I'm not sure what we would have done if we hadn't found The Pit Stop. Thanks Chad!

Some small pan handling occured, but it seemed legit, and not like something that happens a lot. The guy asked my dad for money, but only for gas to get to a Walmart, where his dad had sent him money. He had a car, and he accepted gas in his car. I stopped in after hours and a nice young friendly employee said stop by at 8:00am the next morning. Got a motel and was in their office the next morning. They fit me in and had two new tires delivered and installed. On the road by 1:00pm. I am very thankful that I can bring my Sprinter van to a local shop of their caliber. I could have ignored a noise. Lift tickets for the morning at Northstar. How can this get any worse? Luckily for me, the GPS had found us Shasta Auto Supply. Looking for metric sizes in a "Made in the USA" city isn't easy but the salesman rifled though all the stock to find me a metric allen wrench set. He apologized for not having singles, but who the hell would stock only a 8mm allen wrench? I still have my boards today because the guy that helped me was sure they had a metric set and took the time to find the one (dust and all) in the store. Great to find such wonderful help when I was in such a pinch.
