It takes you to 'Greek Town' where a coalesced area of Greeks reside and straphangers can find bars with live music, restaurants, cafes, bakeries and coffee shops. This elevated station has two side platforms and three tracks. This subway station has been updated modernized and contains simple architecture keeping with function and operational rather than beauty and ornate. My style is traditional, but I do believe individuals and society must adapt with changing times for updated modernization - at least keep it classic and simple which this subway station maintain. The entrance/exit kiosk is modern, but a classic and very simple appeal glass-and-steel canopies with no lavish modern awnings. The artwork for the station, titled "Perasma I and II; Dappleganger," by Stephen Westfall installed in 2018 consists of 47 laminated glass mural panels in the mezzanine, each with geometric designs. It allows color and natural sunlight to be emitted.

Connects you to almost wherever you need to go in Manhattan on on the East or West side, Queens, Brooklyn or the Bronx. The underground passageway also connects you the the World Trade Center Memorial, Brookfield Place, and Path trains... just follow the signs. Great way to stay dry if you work in the area during the winter or the rain storm and have to get from the train station to Path/Brookfield Place, etc. Various exits will lead you to where you need to go, but one should know or have to figure out which exit to take or ask someone. Escalators in the Fulton Center will lead you to certain trains - mid-level is the 4,5 and lower levels are the rest. Follow the signs. The Fulton Center Station also has Dunkin and other eateries where you can purchase snacks and food if you need to grab a snack before you head to/from your destination. Also, refill your Omni card now that Metrocard has been retired, or just tap your credit/debit card to pay.

I mostly go to the front of the platform the J going to Jamaica since the front of the platform is much more bearable. The end of the platform got a lot of smokers. J trains take forever to come compared to the 4 and 5 trains, which come like every second. Sucks that the J trains take forever. Got so much anxiety and impatience waiting in this train station. Also sometimes the train is packed when the previous station is Broad Street, the last stop on the J train. So why is the J train packed with no seats at Fulton?!?

I get really impatient when I have to wait for the M train here. I usually wait at the front of the platform by cars 1 and 2 to Queens and you can just see the BQE highway below the train station with lots of traffic. The platform is also literally next to a billboard and you can just literally jump off the platform onto the billboard! Train station is above ground so you can see the Williamsburg bridge and BQE highway. Many new sky rises all over Williamsburg too that you can see from the train station. The bad thing about this station is that there are no elevators so it suck's to carry a baby stroller up and down the stairs. So unfortunate! They just recently install turnstiles at the end of the platform so you can swipe there instead of going to the middle of the platform.

The 68th Street-Hunter College Station on the Lexington Avenue Local Line (6 at all times and 4 at…read morenight) offers a great perch to watch the trains through the expansive windows at the Mezzanine crossover sitting area! It's easy to use, being ADA compliant, and also has colorful artwork within the station. African American artist Lisa Corinne Davis employs layered representations of maps in these 2024 public art mosaic murals taken from her paintings made of a combination of glass smalti, engraved glass cakes with color infill, and hand-painted glass. Before you enter fare control is "Tempestuous Terrain" and on the Mezzanine, flanking both stairs down the platforms are "Liminal Location." They're all worth checking out when you stop to take a moment to enjoy the trains passing by below!

There is absolutely NO overpass or underpass passage to crossover to the other side of North bound or Downtown.  Ergo, before you descend the stairs on street level entering the transit system make sure you are standing on the correct platform of "To 1st Avenue and Brooklyn" vs. "To 8th Avenue and Manhattan." The wall mosaic tiles signage are beautiful. Note: This station is not ADA accessible.

Interesting train station but it is not as busy as some of the others along the A line. Most people…read morewill tend to get off at 80th street or Rockaway Boulevard and this is the middle stop. Sometimes on the weekends, this station is not accessible and you have to take a shuttle bus to Euclid Avenue or many situations like that. Overall, not a bad subway station and sometimes I get off here and walk a few extra blocks to one of the neighboring buses that I take in this area.

This station features beautiful old tile work on the walls and on the platform floors. Very different from most of the other MTA stations. There is even a picture box here with city scenes that looks like it was a long time ago art installation. Other than that it's pretty empty later at night and can give off a creepy vibe if alone. I noticed the safety mirror has also been removed on the stairwells.

Franklin Street is an old MTA station that's cool to look around. It just is a station of course…read more Sure there's not that much. Cold or hot. The trains come fairly often. Has cool tiles and stuff like most older stations do. It serves the 1 Train. This is kind of a confusing place if you don't know the correct way. Be sure you enter on the correct side of the street. There's no crossover inside so it means you would have to go back out and go across the street and pay there. If you have an unlimited MetroCard, the mistake doesn't hurt. Pay attention to the sides of the street. They take advantage of people who don't know so they squeeze more money from these victims.

I favor either Q53 or Q52 rather than Q11 which enables to me to travel to Queens Center Mall as the Q11 takes an eternity to arrive. Waiting time is not too long. The route is the same via Woodhaven Boulevard which then becomes Cross Bay Boulevard corridor serves the communities of Woodside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Rego Park, Middle Village, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, Ozone Park, Howard Beach, and the Rockaways. The Q53 SBS bus is an alternative to the A train to Far Rockaway and S train. It's in Queens! This bus accepts cash, coins only (exact change required).

It's a nice ride with an interesting view. Going in the opposite direction, it's nice knowing I only have to go 4 stops before exiting the bus. Bonus: My husband and 3 year old son don't mind riding with me on this bus line.
