Such a cool interior and solid service I been here a few times and enjoy it although its a little pricey but great overall. Had the pad thai and wings Only 4 wings come with it so be warned if you sre hungry and want to share. Good location to take a stroll downtown Redbank and check out the local shops Not sure I need to come back anytime soon but I'm sure I'll make it back sometime

Food was ok...Very expensive. We ordered wings, literally 2 wings cut into 4 for $11! Calamari was ok. Tom Yum was good... on the sweeter side. The tofu veggies barely had any vegetables.

Delicious Thai food perfect before a show at the count Basie theater, a two block walk away! The quality of the ingredients and mastery of each one's preparation made dinner here a standout from all the Thai restaurants I've dined at in NJ. Prices are high, but because they use quality cuts of meats and seafood, and the flavor is so delicious, and the interior so beautiful, it's worth every penny. Next time you visit the Basie, make sure to plan a trip here!

    Massaman Curry Chicken.

I was the only one in the restaurant that day. Friendly staff and the food was presented well, smell was awesome, but the taste was a little off. Also like the seasoning didn't take. I had the Massaman curry chicken dish with white rice. Never had it with broccoli. It was different.

Food was delicious, service was excellent and attentive and the ambiance was really nice. I enjoyed the decor very much. I've never been to a Thai restaurant decorated the way this one was. My friend picked this place on our way back home from the beach. They were very patient with us as we tried to figure out what was going on with my friends credit card getting declined (it was a due to a fraud alert because it was a purchase made in a new area). My friend finally sorted out the situation but they ended up just discounting us the bill, even though he insisted he was now able to pay the remainder of the bill, so that was very kind of them. I'd recommend the place. It was quite delicious and I really enjoyed how clean and well decorated it was.

Our friend found this place on Yelp. The place has very authentic and traditional interiors. Staff was professional. Pros- the good was really good! We had the curry puffs, Tom yum (without the coconut milk), vegetarian noodles, pad thai with vegetables and tofu - all were delicious, fresh and flavorful. The portions were hearty as well. Cons - the place is not kid friendly, our friends had a baby, they did not have high chairs and did not allow strollers in, so was uncomfortable. The other con is price, was steep for the place, felt expensive. Overall good experience but given the price, would need to think twice to consider revisiting.

Pad-Se-Ew with Chicken ($19 with tax)

I'm leaving 3 stars for a few reasons. I think this place can be a 4 star option. We ordered a Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken and a Pad-Se-Ew with Chicken for takeout on Valentine's Day. The food was ready on time when we arrived but $38??? The portion sizes were small for $19 per item, just slightly bigger than an $8-10 Chinese Takeout container. I know it's Red Bank but that was off putting right from the start. I had the Pineapple Fried Rice before and it was OUTSTANDING, this time I'd say it was average with very few pieces of pineapple and chicken. A plate of rice (not even pork fried with little chunks of pork) for $19 is just borderline absurd. Without the pineapple it's just fried rice. If you're going to call it Pineapple Fried Rice you should be able to have more than 5-6 bites with a piece of pineapple in it. The Pad-Se-Ew was okay, I've definitely had better. Again, a small portion that just didn't hit the spot. The "chicken" was like shredded teeny tiny little pieces, I honestly didn't even taste it anytime I ate it. To call it chicken was also borderline absurd because there might have been 1-2oz in the dish. The Chinese Broccoli is always one of my favorites but this dish also had some carrots and even a piece of what I think might have been cabbage? Just weird and a filler in an already small dish. Idk if it was because it was Valentine's Day but you can easily get either of these dishes for $10-12 at most casual Thai places. Spending $19 per is just not something I'll be doing very often especially for low quality. Not sure if I'll come back or try somewhere different next time.

The food is delicious, service was good, great ambiance and location, and love all the decorations. However, it's expensive for Thai food.

Chicken curry and green curry fried rice

This place is so cute and the inside has such a calming feel! I'm so happy we stumbled across this place! We both loved our entrees, the green chicken curry was spicy and flavorful! The chicken curry was amazing, just wish the portion was bigger. This spot also has great Thai ice teas that were so yummy. Mango sticky rice is one of my favorite desserts and I thought it was so well made. No mango compares to the champagne mango! So happy that was the type of mango served. Great place for Thai food!

Peanut chicken good, but it didn't have any authentic Thai flavor

The food: we started off with spring rolls, very tasty. I then had the Tom Ka Kung soup, what a great surprise. Just the right sweetness from the coconut milk and just the right amount of heat, not too spicy. Then the Panang Lamb arrived. OMG this was an amazing dish. The flavors were amazing. I got it with medium heat and it was perfect. Just the right amount to where you feel it but you want more. The lamb was cooked wonderfully and the vegetables had the right amount of tenderness. Unfortunately there wasn't any room left for dessert. I was surprised how empty it was, but all that meant was we had great service. Maybe the secret isn't out on this place. I will definitely add this to my list when I travel out here again (monthly). Give it a shot, I'm hoping you will be as surprised as I was. I had to give a shout out cause it was really good.

We showed up hoping to snag bar seats, but it was busy and honestly a little warm for my liking. I know, I know, after the winter we've had, I have absolutely no right to complain. Either way, we ended up in an outside room with all the windows open to the patio and it was genuinely perfect. Our server Julie was fantastic. Attentive in all the right ways, including the kind of attentive where she noticed us glancing around and came over to check on us. We weren't actually looking for anything; we were just scoping out the space. Still, I appreciated the hustle. My partner ordered a gin martini, extra dirty; I went with a prosecco. Both came out cold and fast. We ordered edamame, lotus buns, the pear and crispy goat cheese salad, and the aburi roll. The edamame were solid. Nice pop of lime, though I could have used a heavier hand with the salt. The lotus buns were a revelation. Two pillowy bao buns, each stuffed with a generous slab of slow roasted pork belly glazed in hoisin, with a pickled cucumber tucked in alongside it. I'd never had anything quite like them, and the balance was what got me: the brine and snap of the pickle cutting right through the sweetness of that glaze. Really well thought out. The aburi roll was tasty; nothing jumped out as the star moment, but everything played nicely together and it went down easy. And then there was the salad. Oh, the salad. I could eat that salad every single day of the week. Crispy fried goat cheese medallions on a salad is basically a guaranteed order for me, so that's what reeled me in initially. But once I actually started eating it, I forgot all about the goat cheese. Mixed greens, thin pear slices, halved grapes, spiced pecan halves, all dressed in a honey mustard vinaigrette that was genuinely outstanding. I've already started thinking about how to recreate it at home, which is the highest compliment I can give a salad. Teak delivered across the board. Don't let the rooftop reviews scare you off from the restaurant itself.

THE FOOD * Chef's Sashimi Bowl: Bright and tasty with slices of tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. It came professionally plated with vegetable garnishes and a few dried sweet potato and garlic chips for texture. * Oysters & Caviar: The ice-cold oysters topped with black caviar were incredibly fresh. The yuzu/ponzu sauce and sliced green onions added great flavor. Served at the perfect temperature. * Kale Caesar Salad: The surprise here was the spicy breadcrumbs, which made the dish when their spice and crunch came in alongside the creamy dressing and kale. * Tip: I would order the dressing on the side next time, and avoid pairing this with the French Onion Soup Dumplings (too many creamy/heavy components for one meal). * French Onion Dumplings: An okay dish with nice gooey cheese, but a fairly flat overall flavor profile. * Roasted Salmon: Served with a tasty, crisp crust, but it was a bit dry on the inside. It came with nice stir-fried vegetables and slightly underdone coconut rice. THE WINE * A nice selection of wines by the glass. We tried a spread of Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, and Pinot Noir. THE SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE * Special thanks to Rigo (the sushi chef). He served up amazing sashimi and clearly draws on his 20+ years of experience at TEAK. He was incredibly personable, clearly enjoys his craft, and his presentation was excellent! * Thank you to Olivia, a new bartender upstairs, for her attentive and professional service! We ordered the Love Bowl, Gado Gado Salad, and the Live Nachos. Issues: 1) The Gado Gada salad was a big miss. It's supposed to include lettuce, tofu, cabbage, carrots, roasted peanuts, and a sesame seed mix. There was ZERO sesame seed mix and literally ONE roasted peanut. We had asked the tofu be swapped for beans, which did happen, but basically all my wife got was a salad with lettuce and beans. 2) Live Nachos: what a HUGE disappointment. I've had these a number of times in the past and was really looking forward to these. One of my favorite parts has always been the creamy cashew sour cream. THIS TIME, there was one small dollop of the cashew cream. We basically paid $15 for a box of seasoned lettuce with 8 nacho chips -- not nearly enough chips to even eat with our seasoned lettuce. The Love Bowl, fortunately, was on par with my past experiences. However, the experience still left me questioning whether it's worth returning to Good Karma next time.

Instead, a man behind the bar called out from across the room to ask how many were in our party, then simply told us to "sit anywhere." It wasn't a big deal, but it felt a little off-putting and impersonal.
