We ordered takeout from Moo Yai Thai and had a horrible experience that ended with me currently caring for my pregnant wife who is now throwing up. When we started eating, something seemed off with the food. The taste and smell weren't quite right, but we initially gave the benefit of the doubt. Shortly after, my pregnant wife became sick and started vomiting, which made it clear something wasn't right. I called the restaurant to explain what happened and requested a refund given the situation. Instead of handling it professionally, I was passed between multiple people, each one dismissing the concern. I was told "that's not how refunds work" and that they had "been serving it all day," as if that ruled out any issue. The final person I spoke with was especially unprofessional. He was immediately aggressive, dismissive, and more interested in arguing than listening or taking the situation seriously. I usually go out of my way not to leave negative reviews because anyone can have a bad day. But the way this was handled from the immediate defensiveness, the lack of concern, and the dismissal of a pregnant woman getting sick was honestly alarming. The reaction almost felt rehearsed, which raises even more concern about how situations like this are handled or how often they encounter them. I would be very cautious ordering from here. read more

Very disappointed with this shrimp pad Thai. Maybe the worst I've ever had. Barely tasted like anything other that plain linguine and a few shrimp. Very little egg. Not one bean sprout!!! Not one piece of tofu!!! No visible garlic!!! Had some peanut and a quarter wedge of lime. Two half inch pieces of garlic chive!!!!! Unreal! No sauces on the side. I was looking forward to trying this little restaurant after passing it so many times. I had a craving for pad Thai and stopped in. The place is very cute and the staff couldn't be nicer. I ordered shrimp pad Thai and the papaya salad to go. When I got home and opened the pad Thai I didn't recognize what I saw. It was a big block of very wet noodles in a red sauce with just a couple of tablespoons of chopped peanuts on the side and a wedge of lime. There were six very large and tasty shrimp. And what looked like possibly some small strands of egg. I revisited the reviews for the restaurant and did see that people were underwhelmed with the pad Thai and felt it was too sweet. I noticed that the proprietor said that this was authentic pad Thai. So I looked online for recipes and couldn't not find anything that looked like this pad Thai. It tasted good but there were so many noodles in this red sauce that I ended up throwing out most of the dish. I expected some tofu, drier noodles with a nice tamarind sauce, some greens, visible egg, maybe some bean sprouts. The papaya salad was fresh and tasted just OK. My wife and I stopped in here for lunch on our way to the Jersey shore. Oh my god!!! We had the sampler, pad Thai with chicken and pad kee mao. My god, you didn't know what to eat first. They also gave us a complimentary soup since they are celebrating their anniversary. We couldn't stop talking about the food the rest of the ride down. Such a great family vibe and we even took a pic with grandma. Can't wait to stop in again when we come down to the shore. I'll give 2.5/5 Price of Spicy Thai Basil ground Chicken (Pad Krapow Gai) was about $18, which seems on the higher side to me. Others may have their own opinion. Drinks, my current favorite is the coconut water with coconut meat. Also try the traditional Thai iced tea or the Thai tea with lime juice. Apps, I love the curry puffs. The pastry is very light and the stuffing is delish! Actually get the Moo Yai sampler and that will include the puffs, chicken satay, pork skewers and dumplings. Dumplings by the way has good portion of ground pork. Casual BYOB restaurant with a max capacity of 25. Fairly small. Friendly service. While they did come to our table and take our order it feels more like a counter service place. In the summer they open these little garage door windows which is nice. I've had three meals there and they are all great. Every time I ordered I was told it'd be spicy and it was. However, I have noticed that every meal kind of taste the same with the same spice and level of spice. I ordered the Thai Fried Rice, Pad Kee Mao, and Pad Prik Khing and while great they kind of tasted the same with different ingredients. Overall I'd recommend though. read more

I have a gluten sensitivity, so I am usually restricted to just Pad Thai. I was able to enjoy other Thai dishes on the menu, which would otherwise be "gluten-filled." Very tasty! Don't let the gluten-free option fool you. Gluten-free doesn't mean taste-free! Also, the owner, Jay, provided great customer service. Way good! Best Thai in a long time. It was our first time coming to Seabright and decided to give this spot a try. We ordered drunken noodle with shrimp and a Thai green curry with chicken. It was the best Thai I've had in a very long time and I live near Manhattan. This was for take out due to the COVID restrictions, but all the measures were taken for customer and employee safety. The food was incredibly tasty, extra hot (warmth) which was needed as we ate outside, and well seasoned. For the drunken noodle with shrimp, I must say it looked more pad Thai with thin noodles as I expect the drunken noodles to be double in size at least. So not sure if that's the dish or it was a mistake but I didn't care. The shrimp were AMAZING! Soft and tender, full of flavour, there were a lot of them too! Thai green curry had a bit of a kick, rice wasn't dry at all. I appreciated the assortment of veggies with eggplant and peppers. My wife and I were denied dining in since they were closing in like 25 mins so we decided to take out. We ordered Drunken Noodles with chicken, Green curry with shrimp and the fried pork appetizer. I had asked before ordering the fried pork if they recommended getting the fried or grilled pork appetizer and went with the fried since that was recommended. While waiting for the food my wife and I sat at the table by the door. About 5 minutes later the guy who took our order brought a plate of the fried pork and just said he brought it in case we were hungry. Based on what was said, we assumed he was being nice and giving us some complimentary food. When we got home we realized he served us our appetizer. I was disappointed since I wanted to put some in my Drunken Noodles and would've wanted to dip the rest in some sauce. I also felt taken since I left a bigger tip thinking he comped us.
