I had a reservation at this restaurant with some friends, and to my surprise, it was so lively! The vibe couldn't have been better. The enchiladas and margaritas were both so good, overall they did not disappoint. I definitely need to come back for one of their Friday or Saturday nights because I can only imagine how much more active and lively it gets! The tres leches dessert with mint on top was also absolutely delicious, and the service was great too. Overall, such a fun experience!

I visited with some friends in the area for a lare lunch, and walking in the restaurant is set for a fun and vibrant experience, and the mango Margarita I had was refreshing and not too strong. Sitting at the bar gave the bestvservice as we were able to get our orders in easily. There's a DJ booth to play the tunes, and a singer that goes around preforming in the restaurant. Guests are given fake microphones and cowboy hats to get in the mood! I ordered a trio of tacos, and the tacos were just basic meat and sauce, nothing to be excited for. I'd return for the atmosphere, but will skip on the tacos.

Random find after exploring the Logan Square farmers market. We got seated pretty immediately. The inside is very vibrant, fun and inviting. But the music was so loud that not only could I not hear my friend next to me, I could barely hear my own thoughts. So we got seated outside which was much better. The waiter was very thorough explaining their drink specials and menu. Not a large menu, but everything on the menu tasted amazing. We got 3 margaritas, but the best one was the jalapeño skinny margarita. Perfect spice and not too sugary. The guava and passion fruit were a bit too syrup tasting. We got several entrees but the best had to be the camarones enchipotlados and the enchiladas suizas. The portion was large and filling, the sauce to meat ratio was perfect. No leftovers! I would definitely return, but maybe at dinner time to see if the loud music will be dimmed and we can be seated indoors!

The meals were affordable and tasty. The Y2K brunch was a lot of fun! Lots of beautiful backdrops for photos.

Cute and well decorated place. Staff was pleasant. The margarita size was perfect. I had the quesabirrias since it was highlighted in the menu. It tasted great! Ill definitely return here when in the neighborhood.

Came here for my daughter's 20th birthday dinner with her friends. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Come here if you want a show during dinner because they have karaoke singers coming around with very lively music. I felt like I was on vacation in like Cancun. The food was delicious. I had the grilled octopus definitely recommend. The drinks were great. Also I had a pineapple margarita. The service was just OK. But I understand they were very busy. 10/10 Come here.

We had to try this place as we were fans of the tacos from the former business at this location Old Plank. Both of us being vegetarians there weren't many options. The vegetarian tacos with sautéed Cremini mushrooms were good, as were the chips and salsa. Dropping a star for a strange situation with the new manager. It doesn't say this on the menu, but supposedly the waiter Miguel said if you order three tacos, you can get beans and rice added for no charge. So of course instead of ordering two tacos, we ordered three apiece. Our waiter, who was very helpful., wasn't sure if the beans and rice were vegetarian so he went to check with the kitchen and returned to kindly tell us that rice was made with chicken stock. But he offered to replace that with guacamole, and we agreed. But then he returned a third time and apologized that the manager said they can't replace beans and rice with guacamole. Miguel said they could replace it with a salad. But we had already ordered a salad so that didn't make sense. So we were out of luck apparently. Just an awkward situation, and we thought the manager should have honored the offer, if only just this one time. Or some other suitable option? The music on the sound system was at times a bit loud and hard to carry on a conversation. And I understand it's even louder and rowdier on weekends. We are not certain we will return here, as we thought the food was nothing special. Seems like more of a place people go for margaritas, maybe some Mexican food and to party.

Had such a blast at Mucho Gusto for girls night! The only thing that could've made this better is if the staff had gone a bit more above and beyond, because it's such a fun atmosphere, it would be cool if they treated it like the party it is!! They even had a photographer going around asking to take pics of the different tables which was fun, and they had a few cool areas to pose! The inside of this restaurant is soooo fun, so cute, so decorative! It's a blast. They had a DJ and overall it was a great vibe. The drinks were good (the margs were huge!) and the food was yummy and plentiful. We'll definitely be back.

This place is very cute and nice with all the flowers and fun signs- definitely Instagram worthy. We were in the area after we went to the pop-up Balloon Museum exhibit. The complimentary chips and salsa were good but everything else was okay. My friend and I got shrimp ceviche but turns out it was a new recipe and we unfortunately ended up sending it back since it was dry, felt like missing some lime juice and not as authentic. The server was nice enough to take it off the bill after we asked since we barely ate it. My friend got a tamarind martini and she thought that was okay too; same with chicken quesadilla and guacamole.

Mucho gusto is the new restaurant concept in the old, Old Plank. All the food I've tried to here has been great, as well as the drinks. The standup part of the experience is definitely the decor. The way the place is decorated. Definitely makes you feel like you are experiencing a bit of Mexico. Solid place to get food or drink drinks in the Logan Square neighborhood.

Came for their Taco Tuesday deal ($35 for unlimited tacos, a marg flight and chips & dip! sooo good!) and had such a good time! Music was good, tacos were good, and service was great! Jasmin was amazing and made sure that we had a good time. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and can't wait to come here more now that the weather is warmer with more friends!!

I'll start my review by saying all of the positives. The food was very good! The pescado taco was one of the best fish tacos I've had in the city; it was light, flavorful and balanced. The guacamole was very tasty. My margarita was strong, and very yummy. Tbh, it was better than Federales down the street lol. The only downside was how LOUD this place is. I felt like I was at a rave while attempting to tell the server what I wanted. Originally, I thought that the front bar area was the super loud area, and the back dining areas would be a bit more quiet. I was proven so wrong. You'd expect with nearly every single review commenting on how horribly loud this place is, that they'd listen to their customers, especially after being open for several months! I'd love to visit again, if one of the rooms was quieter so I can actually enjoy my food and talk to my partner without losing my hearing. Seriously, if any audio engineer dined here they'd say you'd need ear protection or you'll damage your ears.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow, and my order was incorrect. I ordered the tampiqueña and specifically asked for no beans and no onions, but it arrived with both. The meat was heavily charred, which gave it an unpleasant taste. Even my friend, who tried it, agreed that the flavor was off. To make matters worse, we were charged a gratuity for two people, along with an additional convenience fee, which was unexpected. Between the poor service, incorrect order, disappointing food quality, and extra charges, this experience did not meet expectations.

The ambiance is really nice without feeling too "stuffy". Bar was gorgeous and service was friendly and helpful, allowing my boyfriend to sample some wines before going in on some bottles. Prices were what you'd expect for a trendy natural wine bar. The complimentary corn nuts in the antique dish were a cute touch. The charcuterie board with mixed meat and cheese was really small though. Only three pieces of cheese for five people... it made it feel like an awkward fight over who'd get to try some. The gluten free crackers were appreciated though. We ended up ordering more food including the "party tray" which I would describe more as charcuterie nachos. We didn't really know what to expect with this one so we got the canned mussels but it really would've tasted better with the prosciutto instead. It included a whipped cheese, olives, and cornichons piled onto potato chips. Less of a tray and more of a nacho-style dish. If we return next time we're in town, I'd skip the food and focus more on the wine. Beyond that, it was a fun time!
