They have a big selection and they always carry the fun trendy items like squishies! lol This is my to go place for guacamole, ceviche, meats, tortillas, chicken salad, and my favorite sour creams. Everything is reasonably priced and sometimes you can find REALLY good deals!! One time I was able to get protein bars for like 50 cents each. It was great! The workers are always friendly. Mucho Mucho Market has always caught my eye as I drove past, and one day I decided to give it a try. It's a typical carnicería (ambiance) located in the heart of Laguna Niguel. I wasn't surprised by the prices, but I still decided to pick up some marinated carne asada and chicken thighs. Since I had a bit of a trek back home to Burbank, I asked for some ice, and the owner was kind enough to give us some! After grilling the meats, I have to say, wow, the flavor was absolutely delightful! Definitely worth the visit. The night before Christmas Eve we stopped in to see if they had any tamales (even though we know it was late at night and we didn't pre-order.) When we walked inside, there were no more tamales upfront, so we walked to the back deli area and she had fresh tamales out of the steamer! We bought a half dozen and I need say they were some of the best tamales we've ever had; they were packed full of chicken with green sauce, and beef with red sauce. The ratio of masa to meat was perfect! There's many times we've bought tamales and there's very little meat inside, mostly all masa, but NOT here -- these were delicious! They're so friendly and helpful, from the guys at the butcher case who help me every time I go in, to the people in the front who are so nice. The market is kept clean and the meat counter is exceptionally clean. It's a great neighborhood market and we're glad it's here! read more

I've been looking for a good carnicería near me and found this place. The pollo is delicious. It is well seasoned and the cuts are good. They have good prices on all the vegetables and meats. They have a lot of selection of products of Mexico. Which I love because they don't have a lot of stores with Mexican products. The service is great. The only thing is the isles are so small. I discovered this small market a yr. ago. I saw they had tamales. I have had many over the years and have to say they are by far the best I have tasted. They are but skimpy with the meat. Also the employees there are the sweetest and even offered to make the salsa I bought hotter. I totally recommend the great little market. read more

So I was doing tacos for Super Bowl and thought I'd try Mucho Mucho Market for my supplies. I have to say I was impressed. I bought their homemade salsa, guacamole, pickled carrots and chips. The family loved them and are eating as I'm writing this. I also got fresh tortillas and can't wait to try them. When I was grabbing a couple pounds of marinated chicken I asked if they had any chopped onions and cilantro. They didn't but without hesitation the guy asked the ladies to cut some up. I hate to have to write this as the owner (I believe his name is Jose) was extremely nice and is a very hard worker. On the plus side, the chips and the guacamole were great and made right there at the store. The problem was with the "fresh" taco meat we purchased. It was literally inedible due to the amount of gristle. Every bite I took ended up in my napkin. As an added bonus, we both got food poisoning and spent the entire next day laid up for lack of a better phrase. Hopefully they turn things around as they're trying real hard. Would be better off selling a higher quality of meat and charging more for it. read more

This is a tough location for some odd reason but we could use a family type of market to make a quick stop rather than having to go into a big box grocery store. I don't usually write review so you know it's bad. Their meat it's pretty much inedible as it is mostly gristle and fatty. Their produce looks like they had a food fight and then put it all back. I'm pretty sure the last time they cleaned was two years ago, as the food poisoning from their meat had me down for few days. At first I thought it was something else but the second time I ate their meat it happened again so it is definitely them. If you can find someone to serve you they will not acknowledge you. I asked for a recommendation and was met with a look of confusion, as if I had just asked for the recipe for flying.
