The pecan banana muffins were freshly made and easily some of the best banana muffins we've ever had--moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious with crispy pecans on top. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even took the time to show us the floor window that reveals the underground springs beneath the building, which was such a unique touch and added to the overall experience. I ordered the alphine white mocha with whipped cream, and it was a fantastic coffee with great flavor. The atmosphere was relaxing, cozy, and enjoyable, making it a place we'd love to spend more time in. We hope to be back the next time we're visiting Eureka Springs! read more

We stopped here after a hike and were pleasantly surprised. It's a very casual place but perfect for a good filling meal! We were guided to a seat quickly and the food came out shortly after too! Banana Pancake: 10/10 this is so good! I haven't stopped thinking about it! Coffee: 10/10 really great and endless anything is always a positive Turkey Bistro sandwich: 9/10 perfectly balanced veggies and turkey. The mustard was also the perfect paring! BLT: 6/10 this was okay, a little dry and just didn't have nearly as much balance as the turkey sandwich. I think it needed more bacon for a better punch. Freshly prepared food that is solid breakfast fare. It wasn't busy when we went, we had friendly staff. They sat us by a window in a floor that looked down and showed the original building below. Great spot for an early breakfast in Eureka Springs! They were open Easter Sunday, which was awesome for us as we headed out of town back home. The staff are locals and are very friendly. The restaurant has a lot of character with the very unique feature of see-through (glass) flooring that allows you to view the stream running 30 ft below the dining room and brick and stone walls. The seating area is small but they pushed tables together for our group. There is a self-serve coffee bar that includes decaf (it's a thing!) but I had the chocolate covered cherry hot chocolate...yum! so good! For breakfast I opted for the "croak" Madame which was delicious! We'll have to go back so I try more of their menu! read more

I stopped here for an early morning breakfast and had the Mud Street special. I choose the bacon, eggs, potatoes and wheat toast. The server was so helpful and cheery it really helped get the morning going. the food was seasoned to perfection not overly salted. The have a viewing window in the floor to let you see the 30-foot drop and the spring water below. This is a great place to stop while in Eureka Springs. read more

Stopped at this little restaurant for a quick lunch before our other activities. For some reason they were only serving breakfast foods which was fine with us. My husband had a ham and cheese omelette. He also had grits. He loved them both. I was planning to taste the grits but he said they had quite a "zing" to them. I can't handle spicy food and if he thought it was spicy there was no way I could handle it. He has a cast iron mouth and stomach to be able to eat the spice he does. Anyway he really liked them. I had scrambled eggs and toast. The eggs had cheese in them and were really good. They didn't have any salt on them so I salted them that they were even better. The toast was pretty plain. This is our go to spot for breakfast when in Eureka. Friendly staff, great coffee, awesome specialty drinks and wonder muffins, pancakes and waffles. My hubby and I love the Mud Street breakfast though. 2 eggs (any style), fresh fried homestyle potatoes and your choice of bacon or sausage (locally sourced) and toast. This will fill you up without breaking the bank! Mud Street Cafe does have a bigger location just a few doors down from this one but it gets really busy very fast. Often you can walk right in at this location and either sit at the bar or get seated with little to no wait when there is a 30 minute wait at the main local....people forget this extension is available, but we generally go here because everything is on the menu thar is at the main location too. We were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience here. The service was great and attentive on a Friday morning around brunch time (10am). The atmosphere with its dimmed lights (still bright enough to see), natural elements, and woodwork art was absolutely perfect. Adorable little spot for a girls brunch, date, or just to be in a relaxed environment! I got the blueberry pancake (huge) and bacon. It was delicious! My grandmother had the biscuits and gravy and loved it. The best part of the entire meal was the COFFEE. The Costa Rica coffee from the coffee bar (only 2.50 for all day unlimited, even if you leave and come back for a refill!) we loved it so much we bought a pound to go - they ground it up right in the store for us. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very good, not the best I've had but breakfast food is close to the same across the board in general. Meaning almost all breakfast places taste the same bc the foods are the same, not much differentiation to me. So basically don't mess breakfast up, and they didn't. Also had higher end coffee and desserts, which I didn't partake of. Place is a little tight or small. I like the closeness but if your a "big" person it could Be uncomfortable. There's like 10-12 people working on a busy Saturday and we still had to wait 20 minutes -just- for a check, then an additional 10 minutes to pay. The building is really cool, but really warm. We're in Eureka on vacation this week and we were told to stop by. We weren't disappointed. The food was delicious, the servers were super friendly. The tables were socially distanced as much as possible (it's a small place). All the servers were wearing masks. I got the Ham and Cheddar Omelet, Cheesy Garlic Grits and a Bagel with cream cheese. If you are in Eureka Springs then Mud Street Cafe is a must to visit. Cute little cafe off the main drag right before the Y on the right heading East. When you walk in and the ambiance is old school cafe with bar seating and window seating and jazz music. We like to sit in the front window to people watch and if you sit towards the back the best table in the place next to the creek view. So in the floor in the back of the cafe they have a sign that says "Home of Ozarka Water" and when you look down you can see the creek below the cafe. So cool! The food is delicious and fresh. I eat simple so one egg and bacon but my husband had a few of their specialties and he ate everything on his plate. The best part is their unlimited coffee bar where you serve yourself. They grind fresh organic coffee every morning and it tastes like it. Really good coffee to kick off the day. They also serve lunch so if you're hungry at noon then give them a try. We came back a second time because we loved the service and food. 5 star Breakfast, 5 star service and 5 star ambiance. You can't go wrong with visiting Mud Street Cafe. read more

Definitely smaller and harder to get the self serve coffee because it's in the pathway back to other tables. This is an awesome restaurant. Very nice and quaint interior with the actual spring flowing 20 feet below the restaurant floor. I've heard this is some of the best coffee around as well. If going on the weekends get there early as a line waiting to get in wraps outside the building. The food is awesome!
