We moved to the Bonham area a little over a year ago and Muddbones is one of our #1 favorite restaurants. The food, although typical American grill style food, is always delicious and plentiful. The employees are friendly and patient. There has never been an issue customizing the standard menu offerings to suit your individual tastes and although not "fast" service, it is quick enough to ensure your order is cooked to perfection. Muddbones is not a large restaurant, but there is outdoor covered seating available. Everyone orders from the counter, but the line moves relatively quickly. One of the best cheeseburgers I've had!! Great atmosphere, definitely worth the drive.

Nice little place, I ran across by accident. Staff was friendly, and service was pretty fast. Only issues I had, is why ask me how I want my burger, if you're going to make it however you want to make it anyway. Burger was ok, might have been great if they had made like I told them, when they asked me. They missed the mark on that. The fries, I think they should fry them a little longer, limp and greasy aren't really appealing. They did not make a very good first impression. Could have been an off day, or not. I might give them another try if I'm in the area again, to see if it's a better experience. read more

I had the Angry Opossum burger, the fried pickles and make sure you get a 'Rattlesnake egg'. All were awesome. The burger has 2 big patties pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos. The rattlesnake egg is cooked like an egg roll bit with hamburger and cheese and spicy mayo inside. It was a huge meal, you're not going to leave hungry! Love the decor inside this place. Ordered Bacon Cheese Burger ( Old School with Bacon per menu ). It came out hot and fresh. The veggies were cold. Patty and Bacon was hot. Buns were toasted. Great place for an old fashioned burger, love the bun- we must have good buns. I really want to try the Opposum burger or the Angry opposite & the fried pickles I heard someone order. Wow! Melt in your mouth burger with bright and fresh vegetables. Prices are on point, customer service is top notch and the food is worth the drive. Cash only kinda joint. I came in with only my debit card and usually hesitate to use on site ATMs because my bank charges me as well as the ATM company... but, the guy behind the counter said, "Don't let that stop you from getting the best burger around"... he offered me a free drink and chips and/or offered to let me pay him later?! Who does that these days?! I swiped my card and it was definitely worth the fee. Along with my change, the owner gave me a card worth a free order of fried pickles on my next visit. Wonderful place! It has one of a kind hamburgers and the staff is great and gave excellent service! The prices are outstanding, and the food is highest quality. The food was delicious. We both had burgers. They were fresh and well seasoned. French fries and fried pickles were great and we got large servings. The food was very reasonably priced. The employees were friendly and even the other guests seemed relaxed and pleasant. Temperature of the dining area was good and the restrooms and dining room were very clean.
