I seriously never write reviews but felt I needed to. My 13-year old Cockapoo is very (VERY) anxious and also suffers from some age related hip/back pain. He's been going to the same groomer for years but I noticed that each time he came home, he'd hide under my bed and then spend the next two days crying with back pain. Well, today he had his first appointment at Muddy Paws and it was amazing! He came home happy, full of energy and ready to play. Not anxious or in any sort of pain at all. I cannot tell you how happy this makes me :) The atmosphere inside is calming, clean and not overly bright (like our prior groomers). I will absolutely be recommending Muddy Paws to anyone who needs a groomer for their fur baby and will only be going here from now on. Thank you!! read more

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. We brought our 70 pound 8 month old poodle here for grooming after I read the reviews on yelp. We wanted to find somewhere compassionate and great with care. This place is it! They are SO friendly, very talented at grooming, clean, affordable. The cut came out just the way we asked, Kramer loved them, and they listened when we asked them not to do his ears. Next time I'm totally going to have them do his ears though..they explained the process they use and I feel that they have the skill to do his ears without hurting/infecting him. This store has 2 dogs and a cat that greet you (well, the dogs do) when you come in, so that's the first thing that makes me want to continue shopping here! I needed to switch to a new cat food, and the woman (owner?) was so helpful, explained the ingredients and kinds of food different types were, and gave me many samples to take home and try out. Recently after getting my bag of food, I went up to the counter to pay, the black and white kitty was sitting right by the register on the counter, all alert, like she waiting there to help me. This place is awesome! There's a good selection of cat and dog food despite the small size of the store, and if there's anything you want but don't see, it can be ordered. The prices are always really low here, too. Somehow I'm still always shocked by how much cheaper they are than other pet supply shops. They're often even cheaper than Chewy! Everyone has always been incredibly nice and accommodating here too. There really nothing I can fault this place on; it's awesome! The location is also super convenient. Absolutely amazing, comforting, caring, and understanding. I took my corgi here twice (the first was shortly after they reopened in Everett) and loved them so much. After the second time, we came home and later that night I noticed my dog hadn't been blinking out of her left eye. A few weeks later, I made the connection that my dog had been to the groomers on the day she stopped blinking (I hadn't made the connection before cause it was a holiday weekend and I lost track of the days). I had emailed the owner explaining the situation and basically just saying that my heart hurts for my dog and that just to make sure each groomer is taking extra good care and paying extra attention because if this did happen at her facility, I wouldn't want it happening to anyone else! I never blamed them for it because stuff happens, and we're still (6 weeks, 3 vets later) trying to figure out what's going on. But I initially thought it could have been the hairdryer maybe? Kelsey, the owner, responded absolutely amazingly to my concern and that week just did a little extra training with her groomers on how to properly groom the dogs, in case that was the issue that made my dog stop blinking. I just received another email from her just asking for an update on how she's doing. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for an amazing groomer! I want to HIGHLY recommend Muddy Paws in Everett, WA. Our full size golden doodle just got the best haircut he has ever gotten (it was his first time there after trying others we were not happy with - Petco & Snohomish Dog Spaw - bad!!). Oakley was treated like a king! We picked him up and he was so beautiful, happy and relaxed we were shocked. Past groomers have cut him with scissors on his lip, not finished his haircut, not even bothered to trim his ears or tail and charged us SO much money for an ultimately terrible experience. Jessica was our groomer at Muddy Paws. Love the open concept relaxed environment and we and our doodle could not be happier (including with the price!). 150% recommend!!! We will not be taking our dog anywhere else and finally feel like we found a groomer that treats our dog with just as much love as we do Thank you Jessica you are fabulous! read more

Very frustrated!!!! Yelp said Muddy Paws were open until 7pm. My dog is out of food and I'm exhausted after working. I rush to Muddy Paws to get food for my dog since I no longer go to About Pets. And they are closed. According to Yelp they are supposed to be open. Very misleading and so far not a good first impression. read more

We just took our 7-1/2 month old Goldendoodle to Kelsey yesterday. Our puppy was a mess (blame Covid); and she had never been to a groomer before. Kelsey was fantastic with her and did a wonderful job. I cannot recommend her enough. The salon is quiet and peaceful and Kelsey is really nice and great with dogs. This place is awesome. The staff is informative and helpful. I went in to get a new toy for my dog and a treat for my kitty and they were able to help me with both. The day I went in they were in the process of switching POS systems so it took a little while to check out, but they were attentive and aware so it wasn't an imposition at all. Their prices are competitive and they are welcoming to all pets! I also love that the owners are foster parents and the store is involved in bringing an off-leash dog park to our area. The toy they recommended for my dog is fabulous. He still has yet to tear it apart and he loves it. They also managed to recommend some new chew things for him to help his teeth and keep him entertained. I will definitely be back next time my puppy needs a new toy! read more

I have always loved this store because they carry the quality brand foods that we feed our dogs. However, I now have an entirely new reason for loving this place. Last week I stopped in to pick up a few items for a friend who was collecting for a local animal shelter. When the salesperson (whom I believe is the owner) learned what I was shopping for she immediately offered to donate a large bag of dog food and cat food, along with several other treats and food items. Not only that, she also gave me a discount on the items I purchased for donation. I was overwhelmed by her generosity! Took my mess of a poodle in for a haircut. They were very sweet, even though I had let her go way to long between cuts. I was having a hard time finding a place I felt 100% great about. This place did great. Had fair prices and didn't leave the dog in a cage all day waiting like so many places do. This will be our new groomer! I just had my dog groomed here today and I am just so happy I did. Everyone who see's little Jaco remarks over and over about how much better he looks now. They did an exceptional job. This is the only place in the area I can find the specific recipe of Fromm my dogs eat. Already that makes me love this place. We were mildly annoyed the other night when for the 4th or 5th time our frequent buyer card was lost. The owner happened to be there (this night being the first time I've met her) and she apologized profusely, stated how unnaceptbale it was for her employees to drop the ball like that, filed our card away herself, and gave us half off our dog food to make up for it, which I thought was awesome. These people are fabulous!!! Family owned, it is a mother and daughter- and they certainly know their pets. I went in first a couple of weeks ago, looking for a food change for my dog, due to some skin issues- the owner suggests that I take samples to try first- though they will give me my money back if Buddy the dog isn't satisfied with something I pay for- it will probably be easier for me this way, she said--- so she handed me not 1, but 4 large samples! Then, when I narrowed it down, and came back in, looking for a small bag- just in case (Buddy the dog is very picky)- they gave me 7 more samples for free!! Of course, when we settled on the right food - that is where we purchased. :) Friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I won't buy pet supplies anywhere else now. read more

One can tell they really love the industry that they are in and know everything there is to know about it. LOVE THIS PLACE! Owner is a very nice lady, always super friendly and very knowledgeable! They carry great products with natural ingredients and some organics. Like other yelpers said, the price here is reasonable. I love when I ask for suggestions, the owner actually suggest me what she thinks would be the best for my dogs instead of just suggesting me whatever is the most expensive! Honest business = Good business! My 10 year old cocker spaniel has been getting his hair cut here regularly since I found this place. He gets nervous when there are other dogs around but he's always felt at home when he gets his hair cut here. They only service one dog at a time and don't put dogs waiting in cages, which is a BIG BIG plus! Just make sure you book the appointment a month ahead because she's always super booked! They treat your dog(s) as if he/she/they were their own pets. My dog is older and they are so gentle with him. You can tell they care. This is now a dog grooming business only. They used to be retail with grooming in Lynwood with only one groomer. I had taken my Pomeranian to the old location several times and had bee satisfied with results. Now that they are grooming only, they have several groomers. I took my Pom in and when I picked her up, was shocked that her undercoat was almost gone. It was patchy and I could see her skin in several spots. Their explanation showed that they did not know how to properly groom a double coated dog. If I am lucky, her coat will not be permanently damaged. I obviously will not be back. read more

What everyone else said. This mother-daughter team know their stuff, and really have animals' best interests at heart. They are always happy to share advice, not only about their products but about training and behaviour issues in general. They donated a $20 item to us when we rescued a dog, and were so helpful getting him set up with the right food etc. We get all our supplies there now. Also, I took my big dog there for a bath, and Kelcey did a wonderful job for the best price in town! She is a huge furry beast, and try as I might, I can never get her looking as good as Kelcey did. She removed lots of her loose undercoat before the bath, which is a huge job, like brushing a polar bear, and made her a lot more comfortable. Given that self-service places charge about $20 to do it yourself, I'll pay the extra $8 to have a loving professional spend an hour and half on my pup. Also, they do one dog at a time, so they can devote full attention to it, rather than having an assembly line of dogs in crates like they do at larger places. read more

Worst groomer ever. First they quote me a number over the phone then charge me 15.00 more the quote. Second Rochelle the receptionist cuts you off when talking to her. How rude is that? Rude! Then my dog was not ever finished and had to come back another day. Then when we got home the last time. My dog stop ratting. Come to find out he had and gland problems and the groomer did not even tell me about when she was down there cutting his anal hairs. I would never refer them to anyone. I feel I should get my money back for the bad hair cut the trauma my dog had to go throw as well as the vet payment for not telling me about his anal glands. Had to hear it from a vet. When after research groomers are to let the customers about or and take care it after informing the customer. When they do not. They should be shut down and repay me back for the trauma I had to go throw as well as my dog.do not take your dog to this company you will regret it if you do. read more
