Very chill and walkable park. If you are headed to mueller park the lake. As it's free. Lots of ducks and pigeons. Great place for a date or a picnic. 10/10 Ducks

What a cute area this is. So many fun things to do at this park from the playground to the walking trails, and green space for relaxing along the water, reading, hanging out with friends and family, picnics, playing games, and more. Very well-maintained, no trash or debris. Lots of ducks and geese and some even seem to want to make friends...most likely because they want humans to feed them. Very close to shops and restaurants but there is often an ice cream truck as well.

It's a nice medium size park with lake! You can walk around the water area or rest under the trees as they have many benches! If you like birds and you'll enjoy bird watching since there are many ducks and all kinds of birds there! Come and chill! Cheers

Beautiful park with lots of birds, turtles, and joggers along with some fisherman. It's catch and release here though. It's a great area to walk through with or without a dog. There's even a fire pit that is locked until rented. And there's lots of restaurants and shops across the street, so you could end up spending a few hours here.

I love Mueller Lake Park for so many reasons. It's got something for everyone and the only thing I don't love is that everyone comes to enjoy it on the weekends. I know, that's the point, but it can get a little hectic at peak times. That just speaks to what a great park it is. There are paved and unpaved walking trail options all around the duck pond and beyond. There are ducks, geese, squirrels and fish. I hate that people fish in the pond, but it's a thing many people enjoy doing. The kid part of the park is big and has lots of equipment. There are public restrooms right by the kid part and parking lot. Kids also love seeing the ducks and geese. They do a pretty good job keeping the park clean, but everyone can help by not leaving trash or fishing line behind. *Please don't let your kids chase the ducks/geese, mess with the ducklings, or touch/take the eggs. Also, it's actually really bad for ducks/geese to eat bread. Feed them peas, corn, oats, or birdseed instead.*

This is our spot, our jam, our happy place. You can see if clearly by just lookin at her face. It's calm yet actively fun. Ages 0- 105, it's for everyone. Beautiful walk yes indeed. My girls laps it twice. Then we hit the ice cream food truck, so nice. It's got great bars, food, farmers market on Sunday. Dancing Wednesday night. Yall go there asap. It will get you right.

Love visiting this park any time of day. My only complaint is that when it rains the water can flood into the paths and cause it to get REALLY muddy, so just don't wear your nice shoes! I also have seen that the trash bins can overflow a bit which can sometimes just not be the vibe you want at a park. Overall though this is one of the nicest parks in Austin for a walk, and I especially enjoy the proximity to restaurants and the Farmer's Market!

Reviewing Mueller Lake Park as a tourist attraction. The park is beautifully landscaped with scenic walking trails around the lake, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a morning jog with various species of ducks all around. There's a nice playground for kids, exercise area, and the open green spaces are ideal for picnics and relaxation. With its serene environment and close proximity to restaurants and shops, Mueller Lake Park offers a nice escape for both locals and tourists. Worth a visit for a short stroll if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make a trip just to visit.

Mueller Lake Park has a lovely playground for kids, across the street from the Thinkery. It is nice for a leisurely stroll, reading in a hammock, playing a pickup game, having a picnic, eating at a sidewalk cafe, joining a workout class, going for a run, walking your dog, feeding the ducks, fishing, biking, and just enjoying the beautiful central Texas weather. On Sundays, there is a farmer's market a few blocks away. There is abundant parking and dining options for a great afternoon,

At a time when our phones tend to be the center of our universe and loneliness is at an epidemic level, we need more spaces like Mueller Lake Park to connect with our families and the community that surrounds us! My family and I originally intended to go to the Thinkery, but they were sold out so we went to the park across the street. The experience we had was better than anything we could have imagined and we walked away grateful that Plan A never panned out. The park was filled with people of all ages -from cooing new babies to elderly patrons soaking in the sun- and there was something for everyone to enjoy! There are gigantic mature trees with far-reaching branches that provide shade all around, abundant benches, big kids swings, little kids swings, a large circular swing that the whole family can hop onto, multiple slides of varying sizes, climbing walls and ropes, and the best thing I've ever seen on any playground ever --a spinning circle. The kiddos sat on top of the circle while their adults worked together to spin them and my heart was so full to see such wholesome cooperation and connection between complete strangers! I love this place. There's also a lake, lots of green space for picnics and sun bathing and a walking trail which was great for stopping to recharge, eat a snack, and people/duck watch. When it started to get hot, we bought some popsicles from a woman with an ice cream cart, sat on a bench, and made more new friends. By the time we left the park, we were on a first name basis with a couple of the other parkgoers. I walked away feeling grateful to have run across a man walking his senior dog who helped his autistic son experience companionship, the baby girl who was turning one today, the Swiss aupair Director whose life mission is to bring people closer together, and the dad who cheered my son on for conquering his fear of going down the slide. Come here. Come here often.

The sun'll come out tomorrow Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow There'll be sun Just thinkin' about tomorrow Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow 'Til there's none I absolutely love this park. It is beautiful, relaxing and spacious. It also has a nice walking/running trail around the lake. There is a play area for kids. I attended Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I am intrigued and will come back in the near future just to enjoy and possibly work out. I also enjoyed watching the ducks swim across the lake.

Such a beautiful park with a gorgeous view of the lake! I've had many picnics here and they're always a blast. The park is pet friendly and really big, so there's room for everyone! Plus, you're in walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops!

Such a beautiful park! Took my puppy here for a day out and was amazed how clean and well kept this park was. Beautiful lake to walk around and plenty of grass. Lots of ducks too and someone was playing piano at the little stage they had which my dog laid down and listened to for a while.

Ask the Community - Mueller Lake Park

Is there a fenced in dog park?

No, just open land. A lot of people throw the ball with their dogs off leash and most people are fine with it. But unfortunately no designated dog area.

Are there any bbq grills in the park?

No grills. A few picnic tables here and there, but no grills.
