They didn't pressure me into getting the work done, they said it was up to me. It only needed mufflers.The price was exactly what was quoted. My wife's car was making loud noise. She got a quote from another service station, $200 to fix. I brought it to Muffler Man in Ionia . They put it on the rack and showed me where the exhaust manifold was loose. All they had to do is just tighten the bolts and it was fixed!!! These people working at Muffler Man in Ionia are GREAT. Thanks again guys!!!. Dave F

I at first said no but he insisted. Which it was nice of him to want to help me out. I waited quite a while then decided to take a quick trip to meijer (my mom came and picked me up). About 10 to 15 mins later we are back and my car was parked outside. I went inside and grabbed the keys to start my car up. It sounded like a go kart. I was going to go around the block to being it back. My car didn't even go half a block before it stalled. Started it again and got myself out of the road. Checked the oil and there was absolutely no oil in my engine. I took a picture and called them up. They came down and put oil in my engine and apologized up and down. I get people make mistakes. How muffler man handled the mistake is is where the problem lies. They did nothing but give me a free oil change voucher and told me to come back of I have any issues with the vehicle. They also told me no damage was done to the engine. Which is 100% lie. All I wanted was my engine replaced with one that had similar miles to the one I had in my car (i blew my engine because I had very little oil in it and had to replace it.) Muffler man should have replaced the engine and let me have the work done where ever I wanted and they should have provided a rental vehicle for me to use while my car was getting fixed. It wasn't my fault they did what they did. I wasn't going back to there to have muffler man touch my vehicle. That isn't being mean to the employees, the business in general I would not step foot into even if they were the only mechanic shop within a million miles. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MUFFLER MAN!

Fair prices for the work I needed done. It was a lot of work. They got the service done in a reasonable amount of time. For the immensely large job that needed to be completed. Had my car in for an AC repair and oil change (using a jug of Mobil1 oil and a filter I provided). They overfilled the oil (used entire jug, vs. filling and checking). I asked why. The response was 'we filled it to the specs'; I pointed out that it never takes the full 5.1 quarts after a change; I've never needed more than 4.5 to get the dip stick level right. He then said that my dip stick was the wrong part and therefore inaccurate... not true. (I even checked the dipstick part to verify it was the right one.) I also called later and found that they will no longer accept customer supplied parts for repair, unlike Andy & Mark's policy.

After three "expert" techs and 90 days I got back a car that wouldn't start, locked in gear so it couldn't be rolled around, dead battery and a front tire with a hole so big I can put my fist in it (see picture). WTH happened? They said they could never start it so apparently worked on it in the driveway but despite never getting the car running their "estimate/diagnosis" was it probably needs a transmission module but they didn't have the software to reset or determine if it was bad... THE CHARGES: $600+. I left a car that ran and got back a car that didn't plus had a tire which looked like it was shot with a cannon and a dead battery. I can't recommend them for ANY auto repairs on any thing. Disappointed and $600 poorer.

I went into Discount Tire on Alpine after work. I had gotten tires at another location in a…read moredifferent city 5 days prior. They installed my tires but did not balance them. I went back to that same location the following day to request they check the tires and balance them for me because I was bouncing all over the road. Well, they gave me my car back and didn't balance the tires. When I went into the Alpine location I wasn't sure if I would be received or sent away. The manager asked how he could help. I explained my issue and that I didn't want to go back to where I got the tires installed because my trust was violated twice. He worked me in and made sure he checked with me and the technician before I left. I was able to get on the road and drive without fear of my vehicle being out of control. Humbled because he could have sent me back to where I got the tires but he chose to take the opportunity for the betterment of the whole company and issue he got a driver back out of the road safely. Ive had many issues with their inability to do the job right. I again had issues with my starter…read morethat they say they replaced twice although it happened aginfpr the 3rd time ina few weeks. It wouldn't start again so once again I had to hace it towed this time to Lenz auto repair and they discovered they hadn't tightened the wires leading to the starter. Just a week ago I had to have it towed to alpine tire once again for the starter not working for the 2nd time in 2 weeks at the cost of $167 and then again I had to hace it towed this time to Lenz at $100. They finally fixed it i believe alpine tire owes me $267 for both towing costs which shouldn't have happened if they did it right the 1st time
