Definitely some of the best Indian/Pakistani food in Atlanta. It's not somwhere you go for for ambiance though..It's a casual, take out sort of restaurant, but they do have seating in a clean area if you want to eat there. The butter chicken is my staple; it's creamy, sweet and spicy and the flavors come really well together. It's creamier and richer than other butter chicken's I've had. I also really like their super tender and flavorful bihari boti kabob and juicy chicken seekh kabob. The owner is very friendly. I like how this place is less chaotic and more organized than zykas. Always have fresh food and prompt service. Very good service here. Only One time i had been served a chicken tikka leg which seemed like it was not as fresh as it couldve been. The manager noticed our expression and immediately came over to see what the problem was and immediately helped us and didnt charge us for the chicken tikka leg. I have been here a few times for the lunch buffet. The food is definitely on point. The decor is basic, and it is authentic enough that you will see people eat with their right hand instead of utensils. To some this might seem strange, but when you eat ethnic food, if people with that background like it, that is a good sign of authentic food! Me and my boyfriend went there to eat lunch we purposely didn't get the buffet we wanted fresh food. We ordered nehari, chicken handi, rice and naan everything except the chicken handi was old the meat in the nehari was old you could smell and taste the oldness we couldn't even try to eat the rice was reheated so many times it was hard and the naan crumbled like a cracker we ate what we could. Food is great with a few exceptions . The signature dish is apparently so good they don't want you to have much of no matter how much they charge for it . The Kariah( spelling wrong ) gosht is good but they will literally put one or two cubes with large bones and sauce and call that a serving . Also the chicken was a bit dry . It is the best Pakistani food you're going to eat in Atlanta. No one makes beef kabab roll like them. Their goat biryani is to die for, so delicious! Mughals serves up a decent size menu of traditional Pakistani fare. I have only tried take out - their food certainly has a bit more kick to it than any other indian/pakistani restaurants in Atlanta. Its also a bit more greasy. The Chicken Kadhai is super spicy - a more fiery, intense version compared to the mild, slightly sweet version offered at Sabri's down the road. The bun kababs are decent but lack the chutney and tomatoes that more traditional versions offer. The nihari is good - less oily than Sabris. The chicken samosas were somewhat mediocre - they are tiny in size, and of the flat bite-size variety. The vegetable samosas were excellent - crisp, hearty, and quite delicious. The naans are great - fresh, fluffy, hearty. I look forward to trying the rest of their menu especially the Brain Masala. read more
