Absolutely a hidden jewel in the DFW area! Any get together you may have (bridal party, baby shower, wedding, birthday party, brunch, tea party etc) she can do it - and do it AMAZINGLY!! Moist rich cakes, refreshingly original cookies, mousse-topped chocolate-dipped brownies, flaky buttery pastries, melt-in-your-mouth scones and muffins!! And that's just the take-out! For lunch, try the wonderful all-American soup & sandwiches with home-baked bread, and why not add on an Italian soda! My absolute favorite thing she makes is the ham&cheese croissants. The birthday cake I ordered was exactly what I described! It was stunningly beautiful, so moist and delicious. The frosting we received was something unique and had never had before. It seemed to be a cross between traditional butter cream and whipped. At any rate, it was on point! The prices are extremely reasonable as well. Do give them a call, they will gladly guide you. There is parking either opposite the establishment or in the back. I ordered 15 cupcakes for a co-worker's birthday the day before. The owner and her staff was very helpful in making a choice and I'm not a big fan of pastries but they were delicious. I'm grateful for quality, successful local businesses. AMAZING job on our two-tiered strawberry and chocolate buttercream AND smash cake with fondant details for my baby girl's "under the sea" themed first birthday party! Our guests raved about this cake. I'm an event planner and have worked with lots of bakeries. The sweet ladies at Mug's were HALF the price (and twice as nice) as the other bakeries that quoted me, and their cake was still incredibly good four days later (unwrapped). Other bakeries tried to charge an arm and a leg for fondant details and a plain smash cake, but Mug's went above and beyond even with the smash cake. We still can't bring ourselves to throw it away, it's so yummy. They use fresh strawberries in their strawberry cake, so I highly recommend that flavor. They also didn't even charge extra for additional fondant seashells that we later placed around the cakes and other desserts. ;-) Great job!! read more

I've always been a big fan of mugs, and their food and environment is very pleasant. I'm sad to say that this establishment has earned a one star from me because the staff does not wear masks -- not even when they are making your drink. Seems like these ladies aren't taking the pandemic seriously. You should at the very least wear a mask when you are preparing food and drink for other people. I ordered a custom Minnie Mouse cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday. When I picked it up, it was perfect! On the way home, I messed up the icing. When I tried to fix it, I just made it worse! So, back to the store I went. I apologized and asked for their help in fixing it. They were unbelievably sweet and understanding. They delivered a perfect cake (again) and really went out of their way to fix something that was in no way their fault. I couldn't have been happier with the service or the cake. I needed a graduation cake and the party was in a week. I sent an email on the website over the weekend and the contact at the bakery got back to me on the day they were closed. I talked to them Tuesday and they took my custom order. It was ready on time. The Bakery is just darling and all the bake goods looked amazing. We did a white cake with chocolate mouse filling and it was amazing! I think the butter cream was the Italian butter cream style, the white cake was fluffy, the cake was a great size, you got a lot of cake and frosting for the money. I wanted to like the cupcakes. I really did! They were very small! When I make them at home mine turn out bigger and for $2.50 each not sure if there worth it. I got the chocolate one and it was very dry and the icing was very sugary. Also got the napoleon. I was very disappointed it had only whip cream instead of Bavarian cream filling. The brownie was the most amazing chocolately treat I have ever consumed. They top off their perfect brownie with a scoop of chocolate buttercream then dunk the whole thing in gnache. Great place!! Using them for my wedding cakes - they are wonderful to work with. Only possible draw back is that you only get to taste one type of cake, not a bunch of different ones. However, for $5 extra per flavor you can taste anything you want. They give you small cakes to taste from. I'm having my wedding at the Trophy Club country club and this bakery is super close and MUCH more reasonable than all the bakeries in trophy club. I was able to get quotes from three different bakeries.....mug's was HALF of what everyone else was charging! I am very happy with them and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a cake! read more

We both had the ham and cheese quiche which was the perfect balance of savory ham, egg and cheese with a crusty buttery pie crust. There are also several baked goods to choose from including homemade croissants and fruit filled spanakopitas.
