Incredible cafe with beautiful decor and amazing coffee. Really impressed with the layout. It was packed but the seating arrangement gives just enough space without feeling crowded. The coffee itself was excellent. I had a creme brulee latte. A great balance of smoothness and sweetness. Plus the prices are very fair (which is hard to find nowadays) The outdoor patio is large with plenty of space. This is the best coffee shop that I've found in Roanoke. Check it out.

This is a nice coffee shop located within an apartment complex, with lots of street parking nearby. The interior offers lots of comfy seating for work or meetups. The staff was super friendly. Their menu was extensive, lol it took me a while to get thru everything. I ordered a simple caramel latte, it came pretty good. They adjusted the syrup level like I requested. In summary, it was definitely above average. This is a nice shop and I recommend if you're in the area!

We ordered a few different things. The Teddy Bear Latte HOT with whole milk was really good and probably the favorite. The Teddy Bear Latte ICED with whole milk tasted more like milk than coffee, though the topping had a little more flavor. The Coco Caramel Latte hot was okay, but the Teddy Bear Latte hot was better. The apple turnovers were warm on the outside but cold in the middle and a little chewy. Overall, the place is pretty spacious, but I wouldn't make a special trip just for the coffee.

Coffee is so delicious and the inside is beautiful, cozy, and inviting! Coffee came out super quick and they even have a "grounds for your garden" basket. Not just a stale aesthetic coffee shop Aromas has such a neighborhood feel regardless of being newer to Roanoke! So happy we have a great coffee shop now. I got the maple pumpkin spice latte and my boyfriend got the apple cider chai latte both were great!

Went for the first time yesterday to meet with friends and I'm excited to go back. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I ordered a drink and wasn't a fan. I asked if I could exchange for something different and was treated amazingly to say the least. This shop has a beautiful set up and the main thing I love about it other than the green and gold theme is that it's Kid friendly!! There's a corner with a dollhouse fill with toys to play with. It's not the closest coffee shop to me however this experience was 5 stars across the board. Thank you to the man who came from the back to help me choose my replaced coffee and the two young ladies working the counter! I also had their jalapeño kolache. I think we ordered 6 total because they were so yummy!

90% milk 10% matcha, I was pretty sad to see this drink. If you want good matcha go to Melby's. Stick to espresso drinks here.

Came here to study and got a mint matcha latte. It was alright, matcha flavor was a bit faint, but the mint taste was good. Inside has plenty of seating and the green decor is super cute. Located in a downtown sort of area so there is street parking mostly but a lot nearby if youre up for a short walk. Great spot to study and I'd come back to try some of their coffee drinks!

I found out about this place through Instagram. It's so cute, and has a lot of seating for its size. I think because of that it felt loud where we were sitting because the girls near us were super loud and close lol besides that it was calm! They also have outdoor seating for when it's warmer out. I tried the hot chai tea latte and it was tasty. There is only street parking but it's free. The bathroom and shop was overall clean! Staff was kind!

Aromas on Oak is one of those downtown Roanoke spots that instantly feels welcoming. Their drink menu is consistently great--well-made, flavorful, and the kind of place you can count on whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for a slower afternoon. The workers are genuinely friendly and make the experience even better (warm service without feeling forced). Add in the cute, cozy vibe and its perfect location downtown, and it's an easy go-to. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near the area.

Aromas is a charming local coffee shop located in downtown roanoake. Aromas has plenty of natural light, places to sit and a little library area. They have an extensive menu of drinks and pastries. The treats and drinks are on par with local coffee shops, so this will be an occasional treat. I opted for the chai latte and the gluten free sea salt chocolate chip cookie. The staff are friendly and quick with the order. The chai latte was delicious, however I wish they filled the drink to the top. The cookie was drier than expected, however it was delicious as well. Aromas is across from city hall which has plenty of benches and space to walk around. I look forward to returning.

Super cute new coffee shop in downtown Roanoke! I had one of the seasonal lattes, a s'more latte and it was delicious! It's a gorgeous shop with lots of seating both inside and out! The staff is lovely and very knowledgeable! I also got a piece of the lemon blueberry gluten free pound cake from pinch of salt bakery, it was so good! I got a bacon quiche to go for my bf and he said it was excellent. I'll be back!

Great Iced Latte and Almond Croissant. Friendly staff as well. If it's too early for BBQ make a stop here.

Wow! What a gem. This is a wonderful coffee shop at every turn: the space is huge and cozy, perfect for working, meeting with a friend or just disconnecting by yourself. I'm a pour over coffee drinker, but they didn't have it the day I visited. However, I got their drip which was delicious--not at all bitter or too dark. Loved it.

Great service, funky little joint, beloved by the neighborhood…read more Prices in person are really high. You only get the online prices if you order before noon the day before. A dozen bagels and a rub of cream cheese will set you back $31. Ordering the day before it'll be $24 Einstein's is $19.75 for 13 bagels and 2 tubs of cream cheese and I didn't taste much of a difference. The lox and fresh veggie options are good but they don't have breakfast sandwiches here. James Beard Award and DDD visits are great but not sure that justifies a $5 price tag for a bagel & schmear and jumping through hoops to order so they know what kind of bagels to make and how many staff they need

Reposting my review that I also just made on Google…read more I'll be honest, I was shocked to see as many 1--3 star reviews for this place. I get it - it's a little pricy outside of waiting for the $1 bagels between 12pm-1pm - but holy schikies the quality is amazing. The bagels themselves - all 10/10. The schmears are insanely good - the basil schmear literally blew my mind. I didn't know a schmear could taste that refreshing. The cucumber sandwich - incredible - never would have thought bagel, with cream cheese and cucumber could be THAT good. Sure - it's a bit pricy pre-12pm (but what placing selling real food with real ingredients isn't these days!) spent $40 on a sandwich, bagel with butter and bagel with the fermented jalapeno schmear - but sorry not sorry - still worth it. All these cry babies in these lower reviews complaining about how the bagel they wanted was no available - it's because they are that good. Sorry - you snooze you lose. Get up earlier, preorder if you want it that bad. To the owners of Starship Bagel - hope you guys never sell out (well keep selling our of product so you stay in business yes) but you know not sell out to big mega food corps, and keep doing what you're doing. People need more food establishments making food out of actual real ingredients - not the slop bucket artificial BS that 99% of any other chain bagel shop is going to use. Just look up what Einstein puts in their highly processed schmere's, it's trash and it tastes like it too. Zero chance if they put out a basil schmere that it wouldn't be chock full of artificial junk - just look up the their strawberry schmere on Instacart - ingredients include: Maltodextrin (filler, usually corn based), Modified Food Starch (likely where the bioengineered junk is coming from as noted under the ingredients), Natural Flavor (God only knows where the hell that came from), Guar Gum (a soluble fiber derived from the ground endosperm of guar beans - not something I want in my schmere), Color (almost get a pass except they state they use Caramel which is usually an artificial / petrol base colorant that is not good for you), Carob Bean Gum (plant-based thickening agent and stabilizer - still don't want it), Xantham Gum (produced by fermenting sugar with the bacteria Xanthomonas campestris), and then lastly Natamycin (natural antifungal preservative produced by bacteria -Streptomyces natalensis - something you really want to eat much of?). I'm tired of fake food, that tastes like cardboard. That lacks any nutritional value. We should celebrate when new companies come out like this - and not only that - but they offer their bagels at $1 if they have any left over after 12pm. These people deserve a block party in their honor for producing such high quality products - that yes - those unwilling to wait till 12pm whose selections might be more limited - will have to pay a bit more. People who recognize quality and hard working people will continue to come here. Last note, if you're trying to avoid seed oils, soybean lecithin / soybean oil - this is also a great place for you - and its one of the few places my wife can actually eat at since 99% of places in the USA these days, even the ones you think are higher quality - use trash ingredients with soy as a base - these guys do not. For that I say thank you again - to the owners of Starship Bagel. You guys rock - don't listen to the winey cry baby haters.

The spicy shug bagel was an average breakfast bagel with some spicy sauce (wasn't spicy at all in my opinion), but the pesto bagel was really good.
