The best pies in the area! The employees are always super friendly and I love they have a mini pie option. My go to is their key lime pie. It's so light, airy and the perfect amount of tart. I also really enjoyed the Raspberry Lemon pie. It's a really cute shop. Despite being small, they offer a wide variety of pies, cookies and even fudge! There's not a ton of parking on main street so, parking can be a challenge for any business in the area. read more

Stopped by after dinner on Mother's Day after finding this place on our way home. They have mini pies as well as full sized pies available. The blueberry one I had was very good, strawberry one was good, and hubby enjoyed the pecan pie mini. It's a small place inside, and all pies are viewable in display case. Another sketchy review ... When I walked into the quaint pie shop I was immediately greeted by a very friendly young lady behind the counter. She was very patient and informative as I asked about their pies, cookies and fudge. Honestly, it was very difficult to choose as everything looked and smelled delicious. I ended up getting a piece of Key Lime pie to go and was rewarded with a wonderful dessert later that evening. The pie had the great tartness all key Lime pie should have, without being overly sweet. I thought the prices seemed very reasonable. Definitely worth seeking out when you are in the area ... or if you are jonesin' for delicious pie. read more

First time to try this gem for dessert, and we were very happy! A slice of pie runs about $6, but they are fantastic and well worth it. There's not a lot of parking on Oak St. but there are public parking lots located nearby and the whole area is worth walking around. Wow! What happened to downtown Roanoke since I was here last? My first visits in the early 90's after the long drive to the middle of nowhere were to get great fried chicken at one of the first locations of Babes that always had a line outside the door! Between Babes, The Classic Cafe, the water tower and a crumbling building that (I think?) is now the much restored Visitor's Center and Museum, there really wasn't much more to speak of. Really impressed by the downtown area including making the newer buildings look like they've been there forever. The Oak St. Pie company is a great addition to all the other "new" options. I can only speak to the strawberry rhubarb pie which, as luck would have it, had just come out of the oven! It was delicious with just the right amount of "tang". I do believe I enjoyed their version slightly better than the other iconic Texas pie places I've reviewed before--Judy Pie (Grapevine) and The Texas Pie Company (Kyle). But you really can't go wrong with any of the three! Price-wise Oak Street is just a bit over half way between the two with The Texas Pie company definitely winning "best bang for your buck"! Worth a visit to enjoy the downtown restaurants with a stop for pie after! read more

The owner and the staff are always very sweet and accommodating. Their pies change seasonally, and everything I've ever tasted has been yummy! One of my favorites is the strawberry rhubarb. They also offer a raspberry rhubarb. You can buy a whole pie and ask them to cut it up so you can freeze it. The benefit to doing this is that you can take out a piece of a sliced pie and defrost it and enjoy it one slice at a time and be able to have pie ready whenever you desire. Best hack ever! And by the way, they do make handmade crust, and it is excellent. Very flaky and not too thick or dense. read more

This is the cutest little pie shop! They have so many different options and you can get a mini pie a large large pie or just a slice. Debated about posting this, but here goes. We had left dinner this evening and saw they were still open. I asked the one girl who was cleaning the door window if they were still open and she kindly responded yes for a few minutes so we went in. When I asked if I could get a slice of banana cream pie. The girl behind the counter with colored hair told us she was no longer able to slice pies. Maybe that's an owner policy? Anyways that was my one and only experience with this place. Absolutely incredible! In the words of my 5-year-old, "I didn't know I liked pie this much!" We had the chocolate cream pie, pecan pie, and blueberry pie. They were all amazing and would definitely recommend. The pecan pie, in particular, was the best pecan pie I've ever had. 10/10. A delicious slice of pie! I am always on the hunt for a good slice of pie and I am happy to have found one. I got a slice of banana cream and it was heavenly. The pie crust was flaky, but held up the filling. I believe a slice was $6 dollars before tax. The location was lovely and I liked the brick walls. Poor customer experience today. This is one of my favorite places to go for pie and other treats. Arrived at 12:30 to basically an empty display container. There were only 5 pies to choose from. The lady at the counter didn't seem interested in adding any more pies to the display case, her reasoning was due to new bakers. When I asked a second time for what else they had in the back, she was quick to try the next customer in line. I hate adding a longer time to my drive, but Judy Pie is calling my name. At least there they announce on Social Media and send out texts so customers don't waste their time driving to Roanoke for what used to be a staple of the dining scene. read more

We happened upon the cute pie shop while perusing Roanoke one day. Roanoke is usually challenging when it comes to parking but we went pretty early on a weekday so we luckily beat the lunch rush. The shop is right near Babe's. The shop is quaint and they have the pies on display and have a wonderful selection. It's not really a place to sit and enjoy the pie... more of a grab and go. But it is clean and smelled wonderful. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the server was gracious enough to give us a run down of what they had available. We got a mini lemon pie, pecan pie and slice of Mexican chocolate. All of them were absolutely delicious. My favorite was the pecan pie. Had the perfect balance and flavor. His was the Mexican chocolate which was sweet with just the right amount of spice. We will definitely come back. read more

Friendly and knowledgeable service by the staff member who assisted us on this visit. We were happy they still had the many selections they did on July 4th holiday! We loved and enjoyed everything we ordered, blueberry strata, key lime pie, chocolate mousse pie (forgot actual name), peanut butter and chocolate fudge, and cowboy cookies. This place has been on my list for awhile. I tried their chocolate chip cookies which were delicious. The cookies are not overly sugary, crisp and they taste fresh. All the staff at the bakery were inviting and patient. The cookies are decently priced, they come in a pack of 4 for $3. I'll have to stop by and try their mini pies next time. This is not our first time here. It's so good we just can't come as often as we want. Every time I walk in I want a slice of each pie on display. The girls behind the counter are so friendly and helpful. So my wife just had to have the e raspberry rhubarb and I couldn't take my eyes of the blueberry cream cheese pie. My blueberry pie was so light and every bite was just amazing. Even the whipped cream was out of this world. The graham cracker crust was just right. Obviously everything was scratch made. I tried a couple bites of the raspberry rhubarb. Now, I'm noT a big rhubarb fan buy this was good and that pie crust was so flaky and scrumptious. My hat is off to these bakers. This place is incredible. We were in town for work and went to Babe's Chicken next door for dinner. My glutton colleagues wanted to get some pie so we popped in here. At this point I didn't even want to look at food so I didn't get any but my colleagues all got pie slices to go. The next morning they were all raving about how amazing the pie was and wanted to go for round 2 after we finished work for the day. I joined them this time and ordered a slice of Mexican Chocolate Pie as well as a whole one to give to my friend who I was meeting later. Just incredible. Perfect light flakey crust, not too sweet, homemade whipped cream on top. Such a great amount of spice for the Mexican chocolate filling. We are visiting from California and found this bakery on Yelp. Boy are we thankful for the Yelp reviewers! The desserts we purchased were all delicious!!! Lemon bars, divinity puff, raspberry lemon pie, peanut butter fudge, & cookies with coconut, oatmeal & chocolate chips. Boy I would extend my trip just to go back here lol. It's a good thing you don't have locations in Los Angeles because I would have a hard time trying to lose weight :) Kudos to the owner, bakers, and front house staff.
