Back again - very cool vibes, feels peaceful. I feel like this is mountain vibes rather than city vibes ya know. Coffee is perfect, not to sweet

Great location, delicious food, cool vibes. Came here on a Sunday looking for a late breakfast and was delighted with the cool environment, nice and helpful staff and really good food and drinks. Will be coming back. Everything was really fare pricing as well, for 2 drinks, 2 breakfast entrees, a croissant, and a chia smoothie for around 50$! I love that this place was so pretty and clean inside too, the music is nice and light and the fresh flowers is a great touch. Will be coming back here.

Went here for morning coffee and breakfast as no one else was open before 8 for both. Nice staff descent coffee, unfortunately very little exceptions made to your food order. We had one request for just eggs and avocado and the only way we could have it was apart of the meal that came with potatoes bacon and toast. Very very odd that they couldn't simply just allow an order of eggs and a side of avocado. We did enjoy our time though pastries were real good freshly made and a bangin song list that we all enjoyed as we started our Sunday.

This coffee shop is nice, it has plenty of parking in the plaza and a few tables to eat or drink. Employees were quick and friendly. I think the prices are fair for the portions and quality! I only had two breakfast items this time around and they were decent. The bakery items did not look amazing or fresh. I think it's a cute spot to hang out but it was not my favorite. I would give it another try but so far not amazing but also not bad at all!

Taliza is a small cozy coffee shop to stop by for a quick coffee run or to stay longer to study or just catch up with friends. Me and my partner stopped by to study for a bit and got the horchata latte and mint lemonade tea. Both were flavorful but I feel like I have had better in other coffee shops. The WIFI is fast and reliable if you're looking for somewhere to work. We also tried the cheese roll and scone and both were delicious. We would have just preferred for it to be warmed up but I am sure if you ask for that they'll be more than happy to accommodate. Service was great, the shop owner was welcoming. There is plenty of parking space and there's a sandwich shop nearby that seems to be a hit by many! We have came here a couple of times and tried some of their breakfast items which are also delicious! They also have a stand for CBD oils, juices, yogurt parfaits, and much more.

3/8/24 Guess who's back?!?! Me! Made it in time to hang out for our few hours...my nook is still available. I'm happy. David is SO helpful, if he's not the manager he should be if that's what he wants. He knows the menu extremely well and helped me make my drink a little more to my liking. Breakfast all day? Yes please! I had the Rosecrans early bird at 1pm and absolutely loved it. I got it on the croissant as per David's recommendation and it's a winner people. ...Oh and it's served on a real plate. I love a well plated situation. Recommendation: Add this to your list and it's already on my coffee shop recommendation list....feel free to follow it

The location has a good amount of seating and menu selection. It was my first time here and was greeted by the barista. I ordered the horchata latte and waited a fair amount. However, I did notice the price differed from what was advertised in addition to the credit card fee. After noticing this, it felt misleading and disappointing. I added the photos of the menu and receipt. I was also dissatisfied with the beverage. It was terrible and if given to me, I would drink it but it wouldn't be a drink I would order again. It tasted like a normal Spanish latte.

It was my one day off of the week, and I wasn't in a good mood. I just needed some coffee. And not just some ordinary coffee. I wanted something good. Like *real* good. Taliza Coffee showed up on Fivestars, and I happened to have a reward for a coffee there. First things first, I had to know which Taliza was the right one to claim this reward at. I was aware of a Taliza Coffee in Norwalk, but that is actually different than this one in Santa Fe Springs, which is located on Rosecrans west of Carmenita. The one in Norwalk isn't too far away; just go up the 5 North one exit, and it's just right there after a right turn. Seems rather peculiar to have these two locations so close to one another, so if you plan to meet a friend at Taliza in this area, please be conscientious of their proximity and do not confuse the two locations. As I mentioned, I had a Fivestars reward, so I went up to the order counter and punched my phone number into the Fivestars tablet. The tablet wasn't very responsive to my button presses; the barista offered to punch it in for me since she mentioned I'd have to tap lightly, but once she told me that, I just pressed on. Pun not intended lol. On the left side of the menu were sections labeled "Coffee & Espresso" and Specialty. I knew anything from the former section would have worked, but would a Specialty have worked? Like the Spanish Latte? The barista confirmed that was a valid choice for my reward. The Spanish Latte is one of two Specialty drinks that can come either hot or iced (the other one is Caramel Macchiato), so she asked me which one I wanted. I went with hot. How can you tell which drink is prepared hot or iced? There are fire and snowflake icons to the left of each drink name. The menu looked like a chalkboard, but I really couldn't tell; if that really is a chalkboard, whoever wrote that menu must have had incredibly outstanding penmanship! It took just a few minutes for the barista to prepare my hot Spanish Latte. That barista was the only employee I saw when I went on Sunday at around noon. There were only a couple of other customers in the coffee shop when I came in, so I'm glad there wasn't an onslaught of patrons trying to get their daily dose of caffeine just before closing time at 2 PM. On weekdays, they close an hour later at 3 PM. The Spanish Latte was bold in taste and frothy in texture. However, the cup was a little weak. When I opened the lid to see how it looked inside, the rim of the cup bent quite a bit, so it took a little more effort to snap the lid back in place. Otherwise, the Spanish Latte did the trick and put me in a slightly better mood, especially when I found myself stuck in traffic on the 5 freeway right before my intended exit! If not for that cup of coffee, I would have been real mad lol. The barista had a bit of trouble getting my Fivestars reward to work on her end. When she handed me my coffee, the Fivestars tablet appeared as if the transaction was still taking place. I reminded her of this, and she said she'd get to it. I went to snap a photo of the coffee before leaving, but out of the corner of my eye, I saw she hadn't gotten to it yet. Hopefully she did... I definitely wouldn't have driven out this way if not for Fivestars, so their partnership with the loyalty program is what drove me to drive there. Service could have been friendlier, but the barista was friendly enough for me to recommend this coffee shop if you live nearby. Unfortunately, I don't, but hopefully, this review will entice others to swing by if they live or work in the area. They also have a breakfast and lunch menu, but the menu doesn't show the prices for these items. When I asked the barista about this, she instructed me to scan a QR code, which I took a photo of. The photo includes the website www.talizacoffeetea.com, which only mentions this location, but not the Norwalk location. Even more peculiar than the proximity I mentioned earlier in this review. Overall, I recommend for a nice cup of Joe. They also have a wide variety of fresh roasted coffee beans spanning the length of their front counter, and if you buy three, you can save 15%!

I love a cute, clean bathroom!

Was working in the area and looking to try a local coffee spot and Taliza was it. It's in a business park so it's not in your typical coffee shop location. Inside was super spacious and they had outlets so it's ideal to get a little work done here or plug-in to charge your devices. I ordered the French Toast for lunch and was beyond satisfied. I'd come back to try more pastries and menu items for sure. I believe I also tried their Spanish latte and thought it was ok. Definitely would come back to try more drinks/food.

A weekend brunch with friends brought me to Madre's Whittier, where the menu offered plenty of tempting options--and a few unexpected lessons about ordering seafood. I tried the Ensenada Omelet, loaded with shrimp, salmon, crab, and octopus. Now, I'm a seafood lover, but octopus and I aren't exactly close friends. I asked if it could be removed, but since the seafood mix is pre-made, the octopus had already RSVP'd to the party. The omelet was good, topped with a creamy sauce, but not something I'd order again. The crab appeared to be imitation crab, and while everything was prepared well, it just wasn't a standout for me. The real star? The strawberry pancakes. Delicious! Next time, I'd order those with a side of eggs and call it a win. I also sampled the chilaquiles, and now that's a dish I'd come back for. The Tiramisu Latte was another favorite--not overly sweet and packed with that classic tiramisu flavor I love. A special shoutout to our waitress, Annie, who was attentive, friendly, and made our brunch experience even better. My Verdict: Skip the Ensenada Omelet and build your brunch around the stars of the menu instead. The strawberry pancakes are the must-order item, the chilaquiles are a strong savory choice, and the Tiramisu Latte ties everything together. If you order wisely, Madre's delivers a brunch worth coming back for.

There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. I got excited as we walked in because of how cool the vibe was inside the restaurant! Modern and clean aesthetic ... such a surprise! I had already looked at the menu the night before, so I made some suggestions for our party of four adults and kiddo. Our server brought fresh sourdough rolls with seasoned butter. Solid start. We then ordered the stuffed 'shrooms and proscuitto-arugula pizza as starters. Both were very excellent, and was tell-tale of what we were about to experience with our entrees. Entrees ordered were the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the pappardelle with shortrib (two servings but really enough food for at least four ppl!) and the chicken Parmesan salad. Everything was impressive, especially the pappardelle dish. With the beurre blanc and creamy Alfredo sauce with two huge pieces of short rib that were fork tender, it was the star of the evening. This dish is made table-side to ensure that it's eaten immediately. The portions were enough for four ppl, and the sauce is just absolutely decadent. Service was attentive and prompt.
