Another great visit to Mugshot. I got a sugar free basic witch latte. We got two mother clucker burritos. Everything was delicious as always. Their burritos are packed with eggs and protein. Our toddler loved them too! They got new booths and tables too. Service is always exceptional and the owner always comes over to check on us.

Laid-back spot to relax or catch up with friends over coffee! A chill vibe cafe with lots of seating and easy set up if you need to get some work done. Located conveniently off Hull and Courthouse, it's easy to find and has a welcoming atmosphere. They serve breakfast all day, which is a huge plus! I recommend the breakfast burrito--it's packed. I also had the Mean Green latte, which was recommended. It is pistachio and light on the sweet side, nutty and good with oat milk. Another thing I love is their variety of flavor add-ins for drinks, so you can customize your order to suit your mood. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet, nutty, or a bit more adventurous, they've got you covered.

A little pricier than my go to but I had to stop by & try there new everything bagel cheese danish. It was sooo good if you like danishs & and everything bagel. I paired this with the cookie butter latte & it was delicious, you can taste the flavor of biscoff at the end of each sip. Would Highly recommend. Service was quick, and the inside is very spacious and pretty quiet, multiple options for seating

I stopped by Mugshot Coffee today. The space is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. It gives off local dive vibes and definitely seems to be a favorite spot for law enforcement. The coffee was really good --exactly what they advertise. I'd say it's on par with Starbucks in terms of taste and price. Now the food... not impressed. Most items are around $15, which feels steep considering the quality. The bagel was soft, but nothing special. I ordered the "Bacon Me Crazy" and it had just two slices of bacon buried under a huge pile of eggs in both the bagel and burrito. False advertisement in the name. It was overwhelming and unbalanced. They also charge for everything -- even jelly was almost $1. They charged an additional $2 because I wanted a bagel instead of a burrito. They're even charging for butter & condiments in there. Honestly, I've had better food at Sheetz. The one highlight was the service. The staff were kind and helpful. That part was excellent. Great coffee and great vibes but I'd skip the food.

Solid coffee stop. Iced lattes and breakfast sandwiches. The wait was a little long, but the food was fresh and delicious.

    Caramel latte

Starting with the coffee, I was not very impressed. I got the cookie butter latte at first, but it did not have much flavor of anything. I asked them to remake it and got a caramel latte instead. It was ok, still not much of a coffee flavor. The caramel flavor was good but faint. The avocado toast was not bad for its price but nothing special. Hash browns were average The burrito was unimpressive, definitely not worth the price. Overall experience was nothing impressionable, don't think it's worth coming back but glad I tried.

    Cool coffee shop decor.

So as the coffee universe continues to evolve in Richmond, yet another local foray into the business of beans. Mugshot Coffee (great logo by the way) is a new, friendly, airy coffee shop that features all your faves, plus some awesome breakfast burritos, baked goods and some twists on some classics. First the coffee- well made and lots of choices. The store is spacious but furniture minimal with booths and lots of space for tables and stretching out. Some clap backs to Richmond lore, like the highway sign for the Richmond Coliseum add some rock edginess (in addition to the rock music playing from the store speakers - you know I'm in favor of that.) Food choices are varied, bagels, breakfast burritos, baked items including the "soon to be famous" croisookie. More to come on that. Wasn't in the mood for more sweets as it's resolution week, but after I break those I'm all in. A friendly greeting, kind real people behind the counter, and yet another non-bux choice for those looking to shop (and eat) local. I will be adding this rock and roll coffee place to my heavier rotation bin.

Great experience here! Fantastic latte. It was smooth and delicious (I'm a plain latte guy, it was great!). I also tried their house coffee and it wasn't too bitter or acidic but a great balanced blend that was strong. Good cup of joe! My wife and I had their breakfast burritos and they were solid. Blew her expectations away and I'm a bigger guy, it was a perfect, filling, portion. Dave and Alex are friendly and down to earth. They just make good coffee without the nonsense. Fair pricing, fantastic location with plenty of space and fast internet. They've only been there a month and are set up to do great! Looking forward to going regularly.

    Drip coffee.

Didn't even know this place existed till today. Popped up in Yelp search. We tried the drip coffee and 2 of their burritos. Food to $ value? Meh. I feel like for the price the burritos needed to be more specialty for $12 each. It wasn't bad but I don't think we will seek them out again.

Coffee/tea options? Two thumbs up. Food? Outstanding. Seriously, I loved it from start to finish. I showed up on a Tuesday morning with my laptop and an empty stomach. There's lots of seating inside (with great natural light throughout, it's just such a warm, cozy space), and a few tables outside as well. I ordered the Keshir team (ginger, orange juice, and honey), which totally hit the spot. I could not resist the breakfast combo, which comes with egg silsi (scrambled eggs in tomato sauce with onion), kinche (bulgur cooked and tossed with yellow onion and clarified butter and topped with jalapenos), firfir (injera sauteed in a spicy tomato sauce), and injera. I SCRAPED the plate. Everything was delicious. Just thinking about it now, I wish there was a Buna Kurs in Baltimore, so I could eat this for breakfast once a week. One of the best breakfasts I've had this year. No joke. I love Ethiopian food, and I am so jealous that Richmond has an Ethiopian cafe. Ethiopian for breakfast?! A dream. It doesn't hurt that the service and ambiance are also great. Easy street parking to boot. A great place to work. The only thing that I'd recommend to them is that a few more outlets to charge laptops or phones would be nice - so that people can work from the cafe more easily! But otherwise, Buna Kurs is pretty much perfect in my view. Dream breakfast. Great cafe. Couldn't love it more.

Upon entering, I was reminded of a 1950s pharmacy by the humongous "Prescriptions" sign hanging above the bar, and the antique furniture, bar, and barstools splayed throughout Tarrant's. There was a solid crowd at the bar; it's clear there is a regular crowd that sits and hangs out here. We were promptly seated by a young blonde woman in the dining section (behind the bar). Our server, Nadia, was an enchanting brunette, training another young server, Sierra. She took our drink orders and gave us plenty of time to review the menu, checking in after a few minutes to see if we were ready. We finally decided, my partner ordered the 10" Bianca White (pizza), and I chose the Sailor Sandwich. Unfortunately, the sailor was not in the cards for me, and Nadia suggested the Reuben as they were similar. They brought out breadsticks while we waited, and the food arrived within 10-15 minutes. I was pleased with the atmosphere, the old-fashioned chandeliers, the large mirror, the floral paintings, and the rustic frames, all of which added to the restaurant's stated aesthetic. The pizza was hot and savory, while the Reuben had buttery toast, crispy corned beef, and a light smattering of sauerkraut (TBH, I didn't even notice the sauerkraut). For dessert, we indulged in the upside-down walnut apple pie, served with vanilla ice cream, all made from scratch, and beautifully delicate. Our time at Tarrant's Cafe seemed like a stroll into the past; the only indication of modernity was the ordering kiosk used by the staff. We truly enjoyed our time and had deeply meaningful conversations without enduring the hustle and bustle or the rowdy cacophony of an intense crowd.

The cucumber sandwiches were on brown bread??? The chicken salad sandwiches were bland and boring and were served on regular thick white bread. The desserts also lacked sparkle. The best were the tiny chocolate mousse tart, and the tiny rectangular fruit tart. The macrons were delicious and probably the best thing about the tea. However, the rectangular fruit tart did not have an expected glaze of apricot jam as is traditional. There were two cakes. One was chocolate, which was very fudgy and moist however, it really could have used a pinch of salt to bring its profile up to delicious. The other cake was a slice of either apple or banana??? Flavor so faint I couldn't tell. Neither of those desserts had frosting so can they really be called cake? There was a sugar cookie but I gave it to My friend so I can't speak to how it was. There was this little chocolate thing that was difficult to ascertain what it was supposed to be. I think it was supposed to represent hot chocolate with peppermint and marshmallows, but despite the peppermint and the tiny marshmallows, it was lackluster. The entire experience could have improved with printed menus with descriptions of what we had. There were two teas offered, the Jefferson and the Richmond blend. I had the Richmond blend. It was so splendid that I ordered some from their supplier. Overall, I was terribly disappointed. The beautiful venue had a slight effect on improving the overall experience.
