I first learned of this cafe while on Tik Tok. I thought it was in Midlothian which is not very close to my home, but actually visited this weekend and it is right near the arboretum. It is a hidden gem. It appeared that they had more than a cafe, but an actual sit in restaurant. I solely went here for the dubai chocolate covered Strawberries and ordered this at the walk up window. The serving was huge and I could have easily shared this with 6 people and I felt this justified the price. I could not finish it all so I asked my child to put it in the fride. The next day, I removed all of the strawberries and reheated the chocolate. With whatever chocolate was left over, I put over some grapes. It was delicious also. We took recommendations from the staff who were super nice by the way! they recommended the pistachio latte, and it was delicious & I do not normally eat anything pistachio flavored. Also tried the Dubai chocolate strawberries which were extremely fresh, the Dubai chocolate is a unique flavor but it was a good portion, shared amongst 3 people!! My friend and I saw this on tik tok and were excited to try it. It's in Bon Air/midlothian. It's very easy to miss. They only have a tiny sign right at the window you order from. It's in a tiny little area and there's an Arabic restaurant. Parking isn't great unfortunately. Excellent!! Delicious strawberries and Dubai chocolate. We have fallen in love and been back time after time and everything is always delicious. I also got the baklava cappuccino, which was wonderful tip for the strawberries and chocolate. Don't let it get cold because it gets very very hard. it's a bit pricey at $24 but we split one and still have some left over. read more

This is a walk up location, but they also have seating outside if you want to enjoy your treats there. The staff is very knowledgeable about their menu and everything is made fresh. I've been craving Dubai Chocolate Strawberries recently after various TikTok posts about Keffiyeh Cafe and I was not disappointed. We finished lunch at Basically Halal and jumped straight into the line to order our dessert. The Dubai Chocolate Strawberries were 5/5. The chocolate was so decadent and the pistachio cream and kadayif was perfect. Is it worth $25? Eh.. not definitely worth trying once in your lifetime or on special occasions. I was OBSESSED with the iced lotus latte. It was so creamy and rich and not super sweet. We subbed out the whole milk for oat milk and it was perfect; however, this was what we waited the longest on. Overall, we had a great experience and I would highly recommend adding this to your RVA must try locations. It's a window where you order and they bring your order out to you. I am going to leave this 5 star based on what I had and the customer service. This was 100000/10!!! I did go for the Dubai chocolate strawberries.... But... you guessed it, they were out... and this was at 8am... and the man running the place who had to be one of the nicest people I've come across was very apologetic about it. He said they have been SO BUSY... and I can only imagine. The Dubai chocolate is already a very popular item on social media so to have a local place sell it, i know people have been all over that. It is a walk up window location. I got a pistachio milk cake, pistachio espresso latte, and the pistachio baklava. Run do not walk to Keffiyeh Cafe. If you've been to Basically Halal you know this place is going to SLAP. I will dream about these coffees. The perfect combination of creamy, rich, sweet, with coffee flavor. The cups are jam packed with ice but still a lot of volume in the actual cup. The pistachio latte is absolutely to die for! The protein açaí bowl was also incredible. Good quality fruit, a lot of toppings and paired perfectly with the coffees. Service was a 100/10. The ordering counter is walk up, but our food and drinks were hand delivered to us. You can sit in your car and wait, inside basically halal or outside on their patio! This place caught my eye after seeing something on social media hyping up the dubai strawberries - they looked outstanding and I just had to give them a try. Fast forward to actually reading the menu and realizing how expensive they were... I just couldn't rationalize it. We went with the regular chocolate strawberries which still were a bit pricey - but good. The Mortadella & Labenah sandwich was also a bit underwhelming - felt almost like something I would have ordered at a Starbucks. The drinks were definitely a redeeming factor - between the Honey Cinnamon and the Lotus Latte, we had two wonderfully blended dessert-adjacent drinks that quite honestly were some of the most delightful sips I've had in all of Richmond - sugarloaded for sure, but still wonderfully pleasant and unique. Went pretty far from home to try this out and overall walked away with an average outlook.Waited quite long for everything with almost nowhere to sit other than our car - and it was dreadfully hot that day too, which didn't help. read more

Father's Day at Keffiyeh Cafe: A Bittersweet Experience I visited Keffiyeh Cafe on Father's Day with my daughters, who were excited to check it out after seeing it highlighted several times on social media. We were genuinely looking forward to the experience -- good vibes, great company, and what we hoped would be great food. To be fair, the food was good when it finally came. The flavors were solid and clearly made with care, which is what made the rest of the experience all the more frustrating. Despite placing our order promptly, we ended up waiting over 30 minutes, watching customers who came in after us receive their orders ahead of ours. One of my daughters even joked, "Are they baking our cakes from scratch back there?" -- which would've been funny if it didn't turn out to be partially true. Turns out, they simply forgot about our order. It was disappointing, especially since this was our first time there, and we chose it as a place to celebrate Father's Day together. What should've been a special and memorable experience ended up being marred by disorganization and lack of attentiveness. I'm not one to write off a place after one visit, but this certainly wasn't the introduction I had hoped for. Hopefully, they tighten up their service -- because the food deserves better than the experience we had. read more

Have tried multiple popular drinks here. They are disgustingly sweet. No not "too sweet", they are literally pumped to the lid with sugar and nothing else. You do not taste the coffee, you just taste syrup, and way too much of it. I'm typically lenient with places that use too much sugar, as you can always ask for less, but this was so much that even asking for 25% of the sugar would be too much sugar. If that's your thing, go for it I guess. But it should be called a dessert, not a coffee. read more

I ordered the in iced baklava latte which was out of this world. It was such an experience. The quality of the espresso is top notch, and their ability to capture texture and flavor of the baklava in a beverage is beyond me. I find that when buying flavored lattes, the espresso overpowers the flavor or vice versa. However, they were able to magically balance all flavors and espresso creating a mouthwatering experience. There wasn't any pistachio cream like I saw online. It was just chocolate-covered strawberries in a cup with kunafa. The whole thing cost $25, which I think is way too expensive. The line was line as well and we waited about 30 minutes to get our order. They do have some seats in the cafe but those are not good seats and it felt like the AC wasn't on. read more
