Rolled into town and knew where I'd eat, this is where I usually eat supper when I'm in town working. Inexpensive and I have always had good service and good food. I'm a fat boy so I try to eat as good as possible when possible so I came in went to bar and took a seat. The bar tender was on the spot and took my drink order insta toy while giving me a menu. They have usual sports bar food but I ordered the blackened mahi mahi with veggies. All was cooked to perfection, very good. Bar tender was helpful and available the whole time. All was well as always. The place is clean, inexpensive and the folks treat you well here. Will eat here again next month when I'm in town 5/5. read more

I stopped in here w/ my finance's family about a week ago around 8pm. Even though I now live in Texas, I've been to three different Mugshots locations before, so I'm familiar with the restaurant and their food. Unfortunately, the service at this particular restaurant left much to be desired. To begin, our waitress was absolutely terrible, only showing up to take our order & bring us our food. Making it even more unfortunate, she couldn't even accomplish those two tasks adequately. She messed up one of the orders & when she did bring out our food, all of it was cold. She left the table so promptly, without ever checking on us again, that we were unable to inform her about the cold food so we just tried to make the best of it. After waiting FOREVER for our check and realizing our waitress was clearly not interested in doing her job (it seemed she preferred to sit up front and talk to the other waiters), we had to tell the manager we needed our check & also mentioned the shotty service. It was another 5-10 minutes before he finally stopped by to talk to us about the situation. He seemed pretty apathetic to it all. He did discount our bill a little, but it still didn't make the terrible experience worth it. To put the icing on the cake, the bathrooms were also completely atrocious. In the women's restroom, 2 out of 3 doors didn't have locks and there were paper towels and toilet paper everywhere. Needless to say, the next time I come to Mississippi I will NOT be coming back to eat here. read more

We've been eating here for years, but probably will not be coming back after today. We came in on a Monday for lunch at 11:45, were seated promptly, order was taken promptly, but then we waited and waited and waited and waited some more with NO food! I finally asked our waitress about our food and she hurried back to the kitchen and magically came back with our order immediately. She said' " it just popped up as ready." However, our food was COLD with soggy fries, missing key ingredients of the specialty burger. (My husband ordered the Gamble, but it had less than 1 Tbs of chili and NO sour cream, and no cheese) we called the waitress over and she took his food back to the kitchen. She arrived back within 1-2 min with a new burger slathered in chili, cheese, and sour cream with fresh fries. However, the burger was still cold inside leading us the think it was the same burger. My burger was also cold. I asked for new food and told her that I thought our food had been sitting for a while. She adamantly denied that it had been sitting, and said "I don't cook the food." She returned within minutes with a "fresh plate", however it was just the same reheated burger. We didn't finish our meals because it was poor quality. We asked to speak to the manager and were told that he was "too busy" to speak with us. Sorry, not sorry Mugshots. We will not becoming back. I wouldn't count on getting the "Best Burger of 2016" award this year with that performance. read more

Got the McDonald with a fried egg... Delightful. The bread is what makes it. It's like those sweet honey yeast rolls.... Mmmhhhmmmmm! So good!! Definitely one of the better burgers I have had. And they have a wonderful beer selection which is a rarity based on my experience in Mississippi. Service was a little slow. We put in the kids order early and it came when our meal came... I like Mugshots. This is the best burger around. OK one of the best I mean I have others I like but each is different in their own way. OK so then I LOVE Mugshots. My only problem is people bringing their kids and I dont mean older kids I mean kids under 10 that can't act right and in a sports bar at that. I wish all restaurants would make a kid free section. My husband and I unfortunately had a less than average experience at Mugshots. My husband grew up eating there and has since moved away, so when we come to town we are always excited to eat at Mugshots. We haven't been in two years and ate there last night. Our server showed up at our table for ordering and for drinks, then we barely saw her afterward. When our drinks were ready, some new waitress came to give them to us and had no clue who's was who's (and we came with 6 friends who all got beer). Having worked in a restaurant before, I believe I server should know what they are bringing out and the customers should not have to taste each other's beer to figure it out. That was disappointing. I went to order my food and have food allergies, so I asked our server ingredients in some of the meals. She looked at me clueless and said 'I don't know, I haven't tried those things before.' She didn't offer to ask or accommodate her guests. We finally got our food and didn't see her for over 30 minutes. We were all empty on water, we had friends with babies that had to get their check and get home, etc. It just took forever. I don't say this to be a mean customer, but having worked in food service, I appreciate constructive criticism and hope that owners/management will take our situation into account. Really, it's your basic sports bar. Cold draft (basic selection), decent burgers, lots of TVs. The one thing that stands out is the fried pickles - chips, not spears, not overly greasy, good breading, and some decent ranch and blue cheese for dipping. Got to this place at about 8:15 last night 02/12/21 - the restrooms looked old and outdated. Much like a run down gas station. Staff is just a bunch of teenagers who know nothing about the menu or the drinks. Our waiter knew nothing about anything I or the rest of my company asked about. Not even the simple stuff like the prices of beer or whether it's a draft or a bottle. The beer was warm and they don't do the frozen glasses.. my brothers' "old fashioned" was completely horrible. Our food took forever and was cold when finally got to our table at 9:35 or so and they close at 10. I told my guys not to go to this place, but they didn't listen and I got dragged to this place just cause it was after a wedding rehearsal and I had no choice and it was already planned. Parking lot was very dark. Coming out of restaurant - no one told us that front steps are taped off. Had to climb over caution tape in the rain to get out. Terrible experience. Every time I end up in this place.. I get reminded not to ever come here by choice. read more

This restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Wait staff is slow & the food is salty. Friend asked for sandwich without mayo. Sandwich came out with mayo & the waiter offered to get him a new bottom bun without mayo. My friend said no & the waiter didn't offer to take it off the check. Too bad for him because he would have received the tip from the whole meal instead of the small sum he received. Wait staff seem to have no problem solving skills or customer relations these days. Read reviews and almost didn't come. Glad we did. We had the mcdonalds and comeback hamburgers. Fabulous. Hot fresh and huge. Onion rings were very good. Food was slow but very friendly servers that checked in frequently. Our server Blake was excellent and handled the slow kitchen with grace and humor. He checked on us every 5 minutes at least. My daughter and I purchased lunch at Mugshots today, August 23, 2019. We also order fried pickles as an appetizer. There appeared to be only one wait staff but few customers. The air conditioner was dripping water on the booth and seat we were led to and even though we pointed it out, the young woman just wiped it away with a cloth even though it was still dripping. The pickles came and they were relatively good but overly salty. When our burgers finally came (30 minutes after the pickles) we cut them in half and had taken very few bites when we became aware of a rancid smell and taste from the meat in our burgers. We asked if these burger patties were heated in a microwave and the young lady said they were fresh made for each order. Frankly we did not believe her or the kitchen because if they were correct we were served with rancid meat and could not eat either of our burgers. No one from the kitchen even came out to our table to inspect the meat in our burgers because then they would have smelled the unpleasant order. We were given coupons for free chips and dip but that did not make up for the over $34. we spent for lunch for two and I personally won't be using that coupon. In addition, I won't take another chance of being served rancid meat by going back to their establishment. read more

Makes this place one of our favs. My fav is the mushroom burger with a fried pepperjack cheese square squished on top next to a pile of sweet potato fries. The hubs is the comeback burger. Between their homemade bread and their sweet potato fries, they might as well have a monopoly on the Jackson burger market. My only criticism is that they need to work on their to go order timing. Doesn't seem to matter if they are busy or slow. A to go order seems to take 30+ minutes -- while you can go inside and eat quicker than that. read more

The hostess that greeted us when we walked in was absolutely miserable. She started chatting with her co hostess after we said hello and THEN asked how many were in our party. She told us it would be a 20 minute wait so we said we would be at the bar. She came over to tell us that our table was ready but when she took us to our table, it still hadn't been cleared. I told her to that we were going to just stay at the bar, I wasn't going to wait around for our table to be cleared. Why would you come get us when our table isn't even ready? She didn't even respond, just sulked behind her ridiculous bangs that covered half her face. I'm not sure how this place got such high reviews. Employees are everywhere, yet none of them are actually working. They're all just on their phones and chatting with each other. The place was an absolute mess and there were dirty tables everywhere. The bartender was a breath of fresh air in that dirty establishment. She greeted us right away when we got to the bar and checked in on us to make sure we were satisfied with our food. We got burgers and they weren't anything special. Tasted like your average, chain restaurant burger. On par with Applebees or Chilis. " Best burger in Mississippi?" C'mon Mississippi, you can do better than that. read more

The service is usually great here. Unfortunately, this time was not so good. Everything was cold! Everything except the chicken basket which came out 15 minutes after everything else. I ordered the Rahul Cajun pasta and I asked to have fried shrimp in it instead of chicken, and I received a totally different pasta with fried chicken in it. The pastas we got were also extremely dry. We had to order extra sauce to go in them. The queso my grandmother ordered wasn't melted all the way and it was very thick and had hard chunks of unmelted cheese. We had to send it back to heat it up. Not every time has been like this, but, being a waitress in Flowood myself, I would think this service is completely unacceptable. read more
