Due to my anxiety about dentistry and trust in medical professionals, I was taken advantage of for years at this office. This dentist will scrutinize your insurance and then convince you to have unnecessary procedures so that he can secure as much of your insurance money as possible. For example-he convinced us to redo an already existing crown that had no issues simply because it was old. I questioned him about it, and he admitted that it was not medically necessary. That was the last time my husband and I ever had anything to do with this office. Additionally, his skills are outdated and his equipment is antiquated. His skill level was discovered by my new dentist that was mortified at the quality of his work that she saw when she examined both my husband and my teeth. We have since found a competent dentist, and are astonished at the difference an actual modern, smart, kind dentist is actually like. It is entirely my fault that this happened to me and my husband. I should have been more diligent, less trusting, and more questioning. I'm glad I finally got wind of what was going on and urge anyone contemplating getting work done here to please seek other dentists. There are many choices and you only have so many teeth. It is clear that this dentist does not care about his patients and their dental health. He cares about how to use each patient as a commodity which I feel is unethical and fraudulent.

Dr Roberts is very patient and my son always got to pick out a toy from the treasure chest after each visit when he was little. My grandmother on the other hand hates dentists but would still go to Dr. Roberts. She was NOT an easy patient but Dr. Roberts treated her with kindness and respect. Dr. Stephan Barrington is my new dentist and I am so grateful I found him and this office. He and his assistant took great care of me and never seemed rushed or distracted. I was able to get a crown and a filling all in one appointment. The permanent crown is done that day! No waiting weeks with a fragile temporary. The entire staff is great and very good about answering any questions I have. I even received a call today (Saturday) from the Dr. to check and see how I was doing. At the end of cleaning before you leave the hygienist, Jennie asked if I wanted a fluoride rinse and said it was covered by my insurance. I agreed. Then she gave me five cents worth of rinse in a cup to swish and a month later I get a bill for $21 because insurance did not cover!! The dentist seems nice enough but he tells you that you have all kinds of dental issues and then they give you an estimate with billing codes that don't exist and each treatment charge is in the thousands that are mostly not approved by your insurance. GET PRE-APPROVAL FOR EVERYTHING before agreeing to have anything done. Delta Dental Which is heavily lobbied by the American Dental Association will look the other way and will not advocate for you. You will end up paying out of pocket for most of their bogus charges. BEWARE!!

From the first time I called to make my appointment for a cleaning the receptionist was so polite in answering all my questions about insurance, etc. The hygienists here are all so nice and gentle. I am a big baby and as many people are very nervous about going to see the dentist for even a cleaning. But I was quickly put to rest and felt very confident I was getting top notch advice from Dr. Tessier and care from his staff. When I switched to this office I had a list of extensive dental issues I needed to address. He was very helpful in recommending specialists for me to see, and coordinating repairs through them and also his office. I appreciated his conservative approach to what needed to be done. I needed a full reconstruction of my mouth; to remove all decaying teeth, to replace existing old dental crowns and improving my bite position. Dr. Brookshire studied the anatomy of my face and jaw movements as she did a full Mouth Reconstruction for me. Everything is well-calculated with dental care plan; and not to mention the cost- affordability. Bottom-line is she did what is best for me, healh-wise. My self-confidence also improved which really added value to my Sales Career. To date, I am under her care for all my dental needs for over five years now and counting.

He was very satisfied with her work and bedside manners that I went to her when I knew there was something wrong with my own teeth. I had been going to a different dentist since childhood and then it was one problem after then next. I decided to try out a new dentist but at least it was one with a good recommendation. See I am a RN myself and know the importance of thoroughly teaching a patient. Dr. Mathur was patient with my and answered all of my questions. One problem I had was a horrible pain where my old dentist had done a root canal and put in a metal post. She sent me over to an oral surgeon to have a second opinion and he put me on a heavy antibiotic which took care of my problem. Another one of my visits I complained to Dr. Mathur that I was having bad pain along my gums. I pointed to her where it was and she wasn't able to see anything on x-ray but we both were able to more or so pinpoint where the pain was starting from. She started to take out a filling that my previous dentist did and said that he did not remove all of the cavity before he put in the filling and that it was really deep. She drilled until it was out; which required a root canal. She was gentle and she made sure I kept myself occupied with television shows. After the anesthetic wore off I felt no more pain. I have been very pleased with the services that I have gotten from this dentist that I recommended my father to her as well. He drives from Huntington Beach just for her because she really is a good dentist. All in all I recommend this dentist. She does good work and doesn't try to make a buck off of you.
