Having undergone periodontal treatment in Northern California to address advanced periodontal disease, it was very important to me that my new periodontist was skilled at maintaining, and advancing, the successful treatment plan I had in place. At the first appointment her examination was thorough and Dr. Moran's manner put me at ease. Not only did she instill confidence in her approach but she also put any uncertainties I had about working with a new dentist to rest. Dr. Moran recommended an additional Lanap laser procedure to further the treatment. That procedure was successfully performed in her office and my gums are now healthy and maintained with regular cleanings, also in Dr. Moran's office. From front office Office Manager Ginny, to the hygienists, to the dental assistants, to Dr. Moran herself, their respectful and genuine caring for their patients is evident. He took a CT scan (he has one in his office, and showed me a 3D view of my jaw and what they do to make the implants. It is fascinating! Michelle went over the procedures and costs and helped me with my dental insurance. She is always friendly and full of cheer, as is the rest of the staff. Here are the details; I was driving home from a 5 day road trip. While driving down from the Tejon Pass, I started eating a protein bar with nuts. I bit down on something hard. When I looked at it, it looked like a nut shell. I thought no more about it. I took a break and stopped for a walk while I charged my car, tossing out my trash (which included what turned out to be a dental crown--not a nut shell :-( About 30 miles down the road, I took a drink of water, and realized I had a dental problem. I was concerned because it was a Wednesday--I didn't want to have to get through 4-5 days (including a weekend)...with a tooth root that was very sensitive. I called Dr. Redmond's office at about 9:30 am as I headed for home. Brenda (her receptionist) said the doctor was fully booked into next week, but that she would see if Dr. Erini could somehow work me in. I got a call back in about 15 minutes. Dr. Erini and her assistant were willing to work thru their lunch hour to get my tooth cleaned up and also put in a temporary crown. Gratefully, I said I could be there, for sure! Later in the day, I was out of the office, with a healed mouth and temporary crown just before 2:00 pm!!! I simply need to return next week for my permanent crown. In addition to her incredibly caring service, Dr. Erini always has the most modern treatments (like the machine which took the impressions of my bite digitally with a specialized camera).
