Prior to my last drop off of laundry and dry cleaning I became aware of a pricing error. I had two identical shirts, same brand and size, laundered. The Mulberry tag on one shirt stated it was a jacket but the other shirt was taged a shirt which is correct. Per Hubert the mgr., the cost of a jacket is $19 - and the shirt is $6. A $13 difference. He said he would be making an adjustment on the cost of the items I was dropping off that day. Two days later when I went to pick up my new order there was no credit applied to the order. I asked if there was a credit in my profile and the clerk said there was not. That total was $26. I left a message for Hubert to call me. When he called he tried to explain that the credit had been applied. The cost of this last order for a suit jacket and a pair of pants was: Jacket $15.48, pants $11.99. Total with coupon and tax is $25.76. My expectation was for a $13 adjustment which is the amount of the over charge from the previous order. I recently submitted a winter puff parka that had a partial sheen on the collar and top as a result of my skin touching the fabric. I submitted it with that note and the coat came back to me with the sheen over all the jacket . . . from collar to hem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's actually striking and I never suspected that result. Mulberry's in Roseville used to be great. Used them extensively when they first arrived in town then we moved away. One of the things I was excited about this summer in moving back temporarily was Mulberry's. Not anymore. They sent back a white pair of jeans with purple something or another spots on it that were not there when I sent them in. Because I do not inspect my clothes when the come back, only when I wear them, they used a policy to decline paying for the damaged jeans. A blue suede jacket that needed cleaning came back full of big stains, color is not uniform, sleeves have big strips that are much darker than the rest of the jacket and dark spots all over that look as if the area was impregnated with oil. The jacket is probably destroyed. I resigned myself to that. All I wanted was my money back which I thought was fair considering this was a very expensive jacket. They offered to redo the cleaning but I didn't want to send it out to the same place to get cleaned again as I don't have any confidence they know what they're doing and would probably make it worst. The other option was to come back later to talk to a manager to explain what the problem. The problem is very visible it shouldn't require an explanation. I've had some issues in the past with this place, including a suit jacket having all it's buttons broken, some shirts ripped, quite a few more buttons broken probably in pressing. I kept coming back because it's conveniently close to where I live. This is the last straw and will never do business with these people. They're unfriendly, lack customer focus, ethics, they're slow, sloppy and expensive. read more

Great job with getting my sweaters super clean and with "free" pickup/delivery is fast and reliable. HOWEVER, if anyone is familiar with the terminology "nickel and diming" this company excels at that. Example: had them pickup 2 sweaters and a light corduroy jacket to be dry cleaned. 3 items, total bill - over $65(!). Part 1: Both sweaters made by Ben Sherman - (apparently the more expensive the brand the more it costs to dry clean which makes absolutely no sense at all) add on another surcharge of $5+ per item. Part 2: pet hair removal (isn't this part of the basic dry cleaning process?), another $5+ per item. Part 3: jacket fabric is corduroy/velour, another tacked-on $5+. Combine that with tax and miscellaneous other charges total breaks down to about $20 per item. This place gives new meaning to the term RIP OFF. Avoid this business at all (exorbitant) costs.. read more

I brought in a long satin dress that I needed dry cleaned for an upcoming event. I brought it in on a Tuesday and it was done Thursday so there was a quick turnaround time. Overall, the dress looked good after being dry cleaned and it did get some of the wrinkles out. It did seemed expensive at $19 which was after a 50% off discount for new customers. read more

So it's not surprising that I've dropped off/picked up for him when he lived in Rochester. Yes, same quality and on time. So brought a two piece suit and Four dress shirts in on Friday. To my surprise they said they would be completed the next day after 3 Pm. I arrived today, Saturday. And three of my shirts are missing. Supposedly in another order and sent to the wrong store. I asked which store and the counter person did not know. Said the system doesn't tell him that. I noticed he had to scan what was there so Not sure why clothes that come in aren't scanned so you know In system where things are like UPS. This was my first time to use his place. I researched and thought they looked ok. Unknown if I will see my shirts again. I asked when they might be in, counter person said maybe Sunday or Monday. It's a 30 mile round trip to this store. I asked if I would be called and didn't get a firm answer. Credit to the store they gave me 50% off the suit and one shirt. Doesn't negate that I have to drive another 30 miles just to get my three shirts that are lost. The only reason they get two stars is because of the 50% off. Not sure I'll be using this place again. I was relatively excited about the place. I do think on shirts they could go to wire hangers and place shirts in one plastic cover. Doesn't seem eco friendly with all the plastic. Plus could probably knock a dollar off shirts if they dropped the wood hanger. I'll re-edit this review once I get my shirts if I get my shirts. So got a call Sunday from the manager. She did the right thing and had the shirts delivered to me. Apologized for the inconvenience and was nice. So saga is over. I told them I would give them another try. read more

My only brother's wedding was this spring, and I splurged on a beautiful, simple, silk dress that cost several hundred dollars. I wore it once, for the wedding, and was excited to try a dry cleaning service close to where we live in Roseville. Unfortunately, when I picked up my beautiful dress, there was a thread of elastic completely pulled out of the bodice, in an obvious area, and dangling down one side. There were also several loose threads that were frayed and hanging off the other side of the bodice. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they said they would follow up. After weeks with no response besides an email response after I reached out wondering what was going on, they finally called me to offer two options. These were 1) that they would pay me 5x the cost of cleaning ($25), so a check for $125 and they would KEEP my dress (bought for $400 and worn once) or they would give me a credit for $100 and allow me to have the dress back (didn't even offer to have it delivered back to me, despite free delivery being a service they offer). Are you kidding me?! Extremely weak and inappropriate response. I certainly will never be using them again, so thanks so much for that credit. I did get my dress back and will be working to try to get it fixed so it is wearable, as I expected I'd be wearing it for the next several decades. They said they reached out to five different seamstresses/places to see if they could fix it and none of them could and then acted like I should congratulate/thank them for doing all this work to fix the damage - just made it more clear how damaged it is and what a terrible job they did. When I went to pick it up, I used the curbside service they recommend and ended up waiting 10 minutes (parking lot was empty) for someone to finally bring the dress out to me. I will not be returning and advise you go elsewhere as well if you value your items. read more

***WATCH OUT FOR COMPLICATED PRICES & LACK OF COMMUNICATION*** I stopped by this week to get one laundered shirt, and there were both good and bad parts. Unfortunately, one terrible aspect ruined the whole experience. BAD: 1. MORE THAN DOUBLE THE INITIAL PRICE: When dropping off my shirt for laundry, I was told it would be $4.09 (+tax), plus a 20% off discount for new customers. When I came to pick it up, I was told it was $9.99 (for a dry cleaned garment) + $0.99 (for a "stain") + additional tax. They would still honor the 20% off, but the total cost came to more than DOUBLE what they told me at in-take. They DID NOT tell me it would be dry cleaning. There were NO stains on the white shirt. They DID NOT NOTIFY me before rendering the service. They DID NOT tell me at in-take, nor reviewed the clothes. It was only when I was picking up that they said I had to pay more than twice the original cost. I felt like I was caught in a weird pricing nightmare: Telling a customer one price, then at the way end, finding out its TWICE as much. At least let the customer choose to decline their services, if they don't like the new prices. 2. HIGH PRICES: I called many different dry cleaners in the Roseville area. Mulberry's price menu seemed higher than others. All the other cleaners also said that they were "green" cleaning--same as Mulberry's 3. MANUAL CALCULATION OF PRICES: The establishment has 20% off coupons (expiring in 2020 and 2016???) on their website. But I don't think their intake system has an option for this deal that their own site showcases. Instead all math is done on a handheld calculator without showing the customer the actual discount amount and calculations. Same with tax. You just have to trust them. Even their receipt didn't have any line items for tax, discount amount, and actual garment cleaning cost. 4. ASKING FOR YELP REVIEWS: In a welcome card (picture attached), they explicitly ask for a review on Yelp. I'm not sure if this is because of their low scores and terrible reviews, but seemed a bit pandering. 5. ODD CUSTOMER INTERACTION: I was initially speaking with the counter lady (Jenifer). She pointed to the price board and said that because it was written, the customer had to pay. I disagreed, saying that they never disclosed this new price, and that I never agreed to the new prices. She was willing to change the price and talked to the lady manager. However, when I was trying to explain why I felt that the business practice of not disclosing additional costs without the customer accepting the new charges felt weird, another man from the back came to the front. I'm not sure why: Intimidation? Additional Support? I was not being aggressive, but I was being assertive to what I thought was a gross violation of principles. The original manager could've addressed my concerns, but instead she went to the back. Jenifer was listening--albeit didn't apologize--and the man coming out to the front felt weird and confrontational. I thanked them and left afterwards without escalation cause the situation felt oddly aggressive from them. 6. MULBERRY ERROR POLICY: On the back of the receipt, it says that "In the event that a garment is lost or damaged due to Mulberry's error, it is company policy to provide a STORE CREDIT [emphasis added] for the garment's fair value, not to exceed 20 times the garment's cleaning cost for laundered shirts (NOTE: ~$81.8, for a brand new shirt at fair value), 10 times the cleaning cost for dry cleaned garments (NOTE: ~$99.9, a brand new garment at fair value), etc." Basically, if you garment cost more than ~$100, good luck an equivalent back in a store credit to a place that just lost or damaged your $100+ garment GOOD: 1. 20% OFF COUPON: 2020 Version: https://www.mulberryscleaners.com/coupon-20-off/ or 2016 Version: https://www.mulberryscleaners.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/welcome_coupon.pdf This is for first-time customers only 2. 48-HOUR TURNAROUND: Same day express service will cost you 30% (THIRTY PERCENT) more, but if you need at least a 2-day turnaround it's no additional cost 3. GREEN CLEANING: The cleaner claims that they are 100% green, with certificates and key messaging everywhere. While other competitors claim similar thing, as a whole, I'm glad the industry is moving away from PERC 4. WELCOME CARD: This was a sweet gesture that I received on my return visit. They had a hand-written card welcoming and thanking me for coming to Mulberry. It was a nice personal touch 5. $10 GIFT: After my first visit they gave a $10 gift for future usage. For me, I got it on 01/23/2020 and it expires on 04/22/2020; so approximately 3 month expiration. In the end, I wouldn't return and don't trust them. I took five woolen items in for dry cleaning, along with a 50% off coupon. They told me what the price would be per item. When I went to claim the items, they charged $2 more for each item because they were "delicate" and initially would not accept the coupon. I showed them the coupon explicitly, and they finally honored it. However, they still charged $2 for each item even though they did not tell me when I brought the items in that this was so (since when are wool slacks delicate items?). The shop is simply not up-front with its pricing and will gouge you in several ways. This will be our only and last visit to this establishment. read more

BEWARE! I was a loyal customer of Mulberrys in Roseville for many years. I especially liked and relied on the pick-up and delivery service, as it was convenient and timely. However, in the past few months the ability of this company to meet customer needs has failed. The pick-up and delivery service is atrocious now. I have received items that aren't mine. Items that are mine have been delivered elsewhere. And some of my items are still missing! Also, I have discovered billing errors in three straight cycles. It is frustrating beyond belief and after years of loyalty I will no longer use Mulberrys. The only bright spot is Tami, who works for the company and has tried her best to address my increasing frustrations. But it seems she is powerless, despite her best intentions. TL;DR: Horrible service for Alterations!! Walked in on a Wednesday afternoon for alterations on a bridesmaid dress (a hem on two layers). The woman seemed very unsure about pinning the dress. I should have left right then but decided not to. I needed the dress by the following Wednesday as I was leaving Thurs for the wedding. I was told it would be ready by Tuesday at the latest. Fast forward to Tuesday at 5:30p and I hadn't heard anything. I called the store and the woman who answered asked for my phone number, then last name, then first name... I asked 'do you not have my ticket?' she paused a second then said no.. after a minor heart attack she said she found it. Crisis averted? Nope.. I asked for the status of my dress and she replied it had not yet been started and it will be done by Friday. (!!!!) keep in mind I needed it by Wed at the LATEST. I asked if anyone there was able to finish it by tomorrow and she said [the tailor] wouldn't be in until 9a. I said that's fine, can they prioritize my dress since it's now overdue? She would only say she could 'leave a note'. She never apologized, never reassured me that it could be done by the next day, never offered a solution other than she would 'leave a note' for them. At this point I told her I was coming in to pickup my dress and take it elsewhere. Because at this rate, I'd pick up my dress and it'd be too short because of the unsure woman who pinned it. So I picked my dress back up. I brought it to Kim's Tailor on Lexington Ave, called them with 15min left until they close and they still let me in and guaranteed they could do it by 4p the next day. Do not bother with Mulberry's. They had a week to complete a simple hem before an out-of-town wedding and they couldn't meet the deadline OR provide any type of helpful customer service. read more

Terrible service! I brought in a formal dress to have steam pressed and when I picked up the dress 3 days later, it was actually more wrinkled than when I brought it in. Plus they up-charged me for beading on the bodice when I clearly stated that the only portion of the dress that needed steaming was the skirt. So, I paid $21.35 for NOTHING! I wish I'd just skipped the whole ordeal. I still have a wrinkled dress! This was my first AND LAST time using their services. read more

I have been using Mulberry's pick up and delivery service for the last year. Last spring they returned a linen order w/o a very expensive duvet cover . I live in a condominium which receives all mail and packages for the residents. The order was received while I was out of town. When I returned a month later I noticed I did not receive the duvet. I called the main office,explained and spoke to a "manager". This was repeated at least 5 times, they never checked it in and couldn't find it. They never called me back, I always had to call and check. Because of the time element I let it go. Last week they returned my order minus 2 pieces. I called and they said they had checked it in but it didnt get sent with order. I asked for a call back , never got one. Pieces finally arrived but never got back to me. I generally spend $150 or so a month with them. Not anymore, no customer service, I'm done. I own a small tile business and if my customer service was as bad as Mulberry's I wouldn't have stayed in business for 37 Years!! read more
