I'm not sure about this place. I don't have a lot of dry cleaning experience so not a lot to compare it to. I saved up all my dry-clean-only items for a few years and brought them all in at once. I probably really put them to the test - silk dresses with butter stains that I'd tried home remedies on, cashmere sweater covered in dog hair, cotton/poly dress with some type of brown liquid down the front. Anyway not everything came out like new, which I guess is to be expected. I would have been impressed if that 3 year old butter stain came out. The one that got to me though was the cotton/ poly blend dress that came back exactly like it had gone in. Giant brown stain still there and a ticket that said it had been spot treated. Well I figured it was ruined anyway so I threw it in the washing machine on cold, and the stain was gone! Except for a couple drips that must have missed the spot treatment. So I at home spot treated, washed again, and those were gone too. The dress is fine. I don't know why they hadn't been able to get it clean. In the end about half of the stuff came back in wearable condition, half was questionable. I might take the butter silk somewhere else and try again. read more

Service has gone completely downhill. Apparently was sold a few years ago and the new owners don't have a clue. Have not only lost items of mine for extended periods of time, but never notify me when my items are done in the past I always have emails or messages sent to me to pick my items up. I called CD One Price Cleaners & was told by an employee that they "clean sleeping bags all the time." I was told when I dropped off that they have a "machines have a program for all down" as I expressed concern about handing over my down sleeping bag for cleaning and what kind of detergent was going to be used. My husband called after I dropped off & was told they "wash according to the tag." We arrived the next day to a sleeping bag SEVERELY DAMAGED in 3+ locations & feathers in the velcro. No clue how many feathers were actually lost in the machine. After a discussion with the manager the next day we were told it would take 2 weeks to evaluate and "test the material." We explained we leave next week on a trip to the mountains and need to expedite this issue and resolution. I've called twice today & was told the manager, Amjad was too busy to take my call. Instead, he had employee let me know that "he did his research" and the price he is willing to give me for the bag is a tiny percentage of the cost of our mountain expedition bags' original cost. I've since contacted corporate and have not heard back. read more

This place is a MESS. I have used them for several years now. They did a great job in the beginning and I was very satisfied! But lately, not so much. Of the last 10 times I've dropped off, SEVEN times they did not follow directions and my order had to be redone. The very simple directions are in the system on my account, on the printed receipts they put in the bag, and printed twice on the identification tag on my laundry bag that they provide. I am constantly having to send things back, wait for things to be done correctly, all with no effort to fix the issue. I asked the man in charge today what will be done in the future to ensure this won't keep happening and he said "We can't do anything if the counter workers don't do their jobs". At this point, convenience was not a factor. I was looking for the best option out there so I set out to read dozens of reviews. That's how I came to be a customer of CD One Price Cleaners. I drove 10 miles out of my way, brought in said chiffon dress (still in the competitors garment bag) to this establishment and the manager listened to my woes. He took it to the back and magically reappeared with a spotless dress. I thought to myself, yes! I finally found it, my go to cleaners, the one I would tell all my friends, family and coworkers about! I returned shortly there after with my next dry cleaning order. I brought in my newly replaced work slacks, asked for the special care instructions listed on the garments label [dry clean only, press inside out]. I repeated this process a handful of times and was thrilled with the service and attention to detail while caring for my belongings. This happy relationship went on for about a year. Just last week I received a happy one year anniversary email that offered me one free garment at my next visit. I thought isn't that nice, and I'm overdue for a visit anyways! I came in to drop off 9 pairs of my work slacks, business as usual- I let the associate helping me know about my special care instructions, paid for the services in advance and was told when they would be ready for pick up. Here is where this relationship took a turn for the worst, it was too good to be true, another dry cleaning service disappoints yet again (sigh). I come in to pick up my order and they were not in fact pressed inside out, oh the [iron]y (pun intended) of the bright blue special care instructions tag waving in my face as I look at them in dismay. It said it right there... [press inside out]. Perplexed as to why this visit was different than all of my previous orders, I asked the associate why the special care instructions were not followed. They quickly went to get their manager to handle this very simple question. I was immediately met with "This is not our process, you were promised something we do not do. Our pressers do not see the special care instructions." I asked him to help me understand how I have requested this numerous times before and it's been a non issue, he continued to throw his front line staff under the bus by saying "They should not have promised you that this can be done. It is not our process." It's truly unfortunate that there was no attempt to make things right. He was just a broken record "This is not our process...this is not our process." When I asked him what he was going to do to make this right, he offered to steam them to which I ask, do you know the first thing about your industry? Honestly, offering to steam pants that have been singed? What good would that do? tsk tsk. Such a shame, I really thought I found my ride or die dry cleaners but alas it was too good to be true. When I shared with the manager that I specifically sought them out for their reputation for great customer service and that I drive out of my way to give them my business, to have this this experience was such a disappointment. He responded to my feedback with something along the lines of "This is not a customer service issue. It is not our process to fulfill special care instructions, you were promised something we don't do." THEN WHY EVEN HAVE AN OPTION TO PROVIDE SPECIAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS?!?! This interaction was infuriating! Why didn't anyone call me before they proceeded with singeing my slacks? They just blatantly disregarded the special care instructions and proceed with their "process". Overall, this could have been handled so much better, this manager has done a disservice to a loyal customer and worst of all to his team (thump thump goes the bus). In an ideal world, I would be reimbursed for my damaged goods ($70 a pair but I'm sure there is a clause somewhere that relieves them of any liability for damaging goods) I'm a reasonable person, I know that this solution is probably unrealistic, but how about a refund for failing to follow the special care instructions? Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere and I hope that whomever reads this can keep their garments safe for another day. RIP Banana Republic Sloan fit pants x 9. RIP :( read more

I've used a half-dozen different cleaners since over the last 15-plus years, and CD One Price is my favorite. I honestly couldn't believe the pricing and dropped off a few "safe" things to test out. But they did a wonderful job, and I've taken EVERYTHING there over the last 3 years. The store is always very clean, the staff friendly and the service is on point. Once or twice, I asked them redo a stubborn spot, and they've done so with grace. The manager, Mr. Khan, clearly has pride in the store and his staff. I had two pieces I needed dry cleaned and I don't dry clean very often. I had the outfit in my car and cruised by CD One Price Cleaner and noticed it said $2.99 a piece. I knew it was a new business so I decided to give them a try since they are near my house. Plus I wanted to support the new business. Upon going in, it was very clean, organized and wow- the staff was very friendly. The worker explained how everything works, was very delicate with my clothing and offered me donuts and/or coffee. I paid and noticed the guaranteed banner stating if you don't like it, they will basically do it again for free. Also, I really liked how they text/email you when your item/s are done! Very nice. I felt like I left my items in good hands. I picked up the items the next day. First of all - they were so quick to get my items. Then the worker insisted he bring them to my car for me. Wow. The clothing was super clean (I feel like they were more clean than a few dresses I had done for 15x's the cost in the skyway). I'll definitely will be back for all my dry cleaning needs! There's not a lot to say about a dry cleaning business: they either get your clothes clean or they don't. Well, I'm glad to say, they got my clothes nice and clean and they did it quickly and inexpensively. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are ready to help, whether it's offering you a free dry cleaning bag for your next trip, or pointing you to the free Starbucks coffee station, or carrying your clothes to your car because your arms are full with a newborn... they do it all with a smile. The prices $2.99 for dry cleaning anything and $1.99 for laundering and pressing shirts, are unbeatable. Now, all they need to do is open a location that isn't all the way out in Hopkins. We went because we got some great gift cards as a promotion, and I'd go back if i didn't use up all of the savings in gas just getting there from Northeast MPLS and back, twice (they can have your clothes done same day or next day, but even same day takes about 7 hours, so you're going to make two trips regardless). Anyhow, if you live on the west side of MPLS, this is the only place you should go for dry cleaning. read more

They charge $3.50 per garment for dry cleaning which is a great value, and do comforters/blankets for $20, and laundry for $1 per pound. Drop off by 10am, ready by 5pm. You pay when you drop off your clothes and when your ready to pick up, they'll carry your clothes to your car without you having to ask. Friendly service, great price. Highly recommend! read more

Don't be lured by their one price offerings. Great prices, friendly staff, and red carpet service: free Starbucks coffee and they carry the dry cleaning to your car and hang it up for you. The best thing about this place is if you drop your dry cleaning off by 10am, it is ready for pickup by 5pm. They email you when your garments are ready. This place is new and very clean. They are welcoming and have free Starbucks coffee for their customers. As a new customer, your first garment is free. They also offer laundry service by the pound. I believe the first 50lbs are free to new customer just to try the service. Overall I was super impressed at my experience. They made me feel special to be there. The clothes I got back recently is wrinkled, with stain still there. It's been twice that I noticed the wrinkle, I start to doubt were these clothes washed and ironed at all? This has been my "go to cleaners" for years however in the last 3-4 months the place has tanked. Lost shirt, had to have several shirts redone because of stains not removed, dress shirts being pressed incorrectly, and shirts and dry cleaning not done by 5:00pm or even after 6:00 PM. I am currently sitting in their parking lot picking up 2 shirts that have been redone 3 times. Unbeatable prices but it has turned into a get what you pay for... going to a competitor and paying a bit more but well worth it if they do a good job.
