Jayson bailed me out of a difficult situation with a classic car I own. Couldn't possibly be happier.

We found ourselves in a predicament the other day having slid off the road in a snow squall. We called AAA and a truck from Muldoon's was dispatched. The AAA agent called back to explain that there would be additional charges from the company and that the trucks did not have 4x4 capability. I called the company to give them the information regarding our situation and the dispatcher seemed overwhelmed and came off very impatient. I can understand given it was a busy night but she could have handled the call better. When the truck arrived, the gentleman driving was truly awesome. He ensured the scene was safe and informed me of his plan. That was when he ran into an issue. The winch on the truck was bound internally and he was unable to extend or retract the cable. Having used a similar winch in the Air Force, I was able to help troubleshoot the situation with him, fix it, and he ultimately got the job done safely and very quickly. I don't know about all the drivers, but the guy they sent to help us was great! The $100 fee on top of AAA's contribution, while not exorbitant given the situation, was explained by the dispatcher as "low" compared to what it "should" be and if there needed to be any other additional steps in extracting my vehicle from the snow it would be a substantial increase in cost. read more

Witnessed driver going over 75mph in 50-55mph zone. Would aggressively ride other drivers who were going speed limit or even above speed limit. I wouldn't be pleased knowing my vehicle was being towed like this. read more

If you can't accept AAA fee for tow job, give up your contract with them, don't scam bogus fees from customer. Charged 135.00 "overweight fee" to tow Dodge 2500 single axel gas engine pickup less than 5 miles. I had AAA prime plan which gives me free tow up to 100 miles. This is unethical and immoral on Muldoon part, but apparently common practice for them. If I had a choice, would go elsewhere, but AAA assigned. On June 18th while traveling home from Olyphant PA on Route 80 my wife's car engine suddenly died and we lost all power to the car no power steering, no power breaks and no engine this was a very harrowing experience and thank God we did not get into an accident! The Pennsylvania State Police came and we told the Trooper we had Tripple A Service, Muldoon's Towing Service towed the car a total of SIX Miles and charged us a total of $292.00 for a SIX Mile tow! Then they impounded our car which should not have been impounded and charged another $195.00 storage fee for a total of $487.00 and then they would only take cash for a payment! Outrages charges! Not understanding and rude! After complaining and writing a letter to Jason they refunded us $65.00. Rude and with an attitude trying shake down extra money terrible and would not recommend

These guys are the best totally save my ass when my alternator died our on my while driving on route 80 and heading to Camelback Ski Area. I called up AAA and was directed to Muldoon's. If only the rating scale had less than one star - I would rate this business as low as possible. Avoid at all costs. The owners are only interested in getting as much money out of a situation as possible and have showed no humanity or caring in the way they run their business. My son had a major accident and had to be transported to a hospital, and his car was towed by this business to their garage. The accident was bad and he had to be taken from the scene without the ability to take any of his belongings. He had medicines, his phone, and other things that were vital (life affecting) if he could not get them. It was a Saturday and the owner (a woman) refused to help and made NO EFFORT to help me or my son - even after she was told how critical it was to get things from the car and that there were some life changing things in play. She said she wanted to spend time with her kids instead of RESCUING my son from the dire situation he was in. She complained about having to give time to the business. Its amazing that this business owner was so cavaler about dismissing the situation and leaving us with no alternatives. I went to the shop to find that she lied. She said nobody else was at the garage to help me, but there were three men working. And the owner had called and warned them that I may be coming at that I was "a problem". In the end, it was about money and making sure they would get paid as much as possible for their tow job. They did not care at all about how their decisions affected my son - their customer. Again, the owners of this place held back crucial medicine and vital communications (my sons phone) until I paid them almost a thousand dollars for the tow job. It is not only highway robbery; it is an example of zero customer service or caring about anybody. All they want is your money. When a business strategy is screw every customer out of as much money as possible, you can't trust their work, so again - avoid Muldoon's towing at all costs. read more

Still a Covid world, but these guys (and gal) were GREAT! I was embarrassed because mine is a project vehicle, but a necessary project, because it's all I got... after we fixed all we could, we sent it to Muldoons for the rear diffrential.. they quoted a fair price and delivered way ahead of quoted time. My Jeep broke down (Feb. 2020) at the Crossings Poconos Shopping. AAA 800 phone # wasn't working. I looked up towing companies that work with AAA and called. Most explained that they couldn't do much without AAA notice. However, a few minutes later, Muldoon's called me back! They said how the whole AAA system was down, and that they'd send a tow and take care of it later. I was very happy that they went out of their way to help, got my Jeep towed to Best Auto (recommend) nearby for repairs. We were packed up & ready to leave Great Wolf Lodge (after an awesome time) and found a flat as I tried to pull out. Called AAA and Chuck showed up and saved the day. From first discovery to fix, I think the whole thing was over in less than an hour. Chuck was onsite & on the job in what seemed to be less than 15 minutes. He knew our car better than we did and couldn't have been any more efficient (or nice to deal with). If I ever get jammed up in the Poconos again, I know who to call. Now you do too. read more

Don't know why anyone would have a bad thing to say. They are super efficient. Honest. More than reasonable prices. The one who is complaining used geico instead of AAA which is the worst thing you can do. They come within minutes. The guys are all awesome. And Leann will answer any questions you may have. Well apparently alot can change in a few years. The previous poster was positive. I can't be. If possible I would give these guys and especially the nasty woman answering the phone and claiming to be the owner zero stars. My girlfriend had her Jeep stuck in the driveway of our house and I was unable to help her. The snow was heavy and when she was backing out the truck slid into a drainage ditch on the side and she was afraid to try getting it out. She called this towing company to see if they could help. The original quote was $85 and it might go up depending on how complex it was. When the guy arrived he quoted to my gf that it "will be easy and could be pulled right out". When all was said and done he charged her $150!!! Not knowing what to do she paid him and called me. When I found out I called Muldoons to ask them since I was flabbergasted that the price would go up so much, so quickly especially after the driver said it would be easy (and since if it was easy it would be $85 right?). She immediately got nasty with me and said that "well why didn't you help your gf? You couldn't be bothered" or something to that effect. I told her it is ridiculous to suddenly up the price to that extent (a 76%) increase and she hung up mid sentence. I called her back and told her I had no desire to talk with her and I want to talk to the owner or her boss. She said "Well I AM the owner? How do you like that huh?" and I told her it was a crappy way to do business followed by another hang up. I called back and told her I would be reviewing her company on every website I could find since this is a terrible way to do business to which she said if I call her again she would call the police for harassment. I told her not to bother since I wont call back but I hope my reviews help put her out of business. Summary - This company is terrible, overhcharges, is predatory towards women whom they feel they can easily overcharge and has horrible customer service after blaming it on you. Stood two hours waiting for tow. Try to charge me money having geico to contract bunch of crooks!!!!!!!

My 17 year old called AAA after realizing he locked his keys in his car. The polite representative promptly assisted him and connected the call to Muldoon's for assistance. He was connected to a rude man who was later identified as FAC 123 in a text from AAA. It was Friday night at approximately 8:53 pm. My son put him on speaker phone and attempted to give him directions to our home. He constantly cut my son off as he was speaking, huffed and puffed and made sarcastic responses. I got into the conversation when I realized this man was giving my son attitude for no reason, thinking maybe if he heard a woman-friendly voice he would change his tone. I was wrong. He was rude and abrupt. He huffed and puffed as if I was annoying him with the directions I was giving him. He seemed frustrated by the service request... When he arrived he successfully opened the door and my son was able to retrieve his keys in less than 5 minutes! If only he was a nice guy... he would have gotten a thank you, a tip and a good review. read more

Muldoons has always been good to me- wether it's for inspections, repairs, towing or helping me out when I've been in some nasty car accidents. They are reasonably priced, knowledgable, and they don't give me the run around when I need something fixed. As for Mike's comment below, $85 was their starting price- you were off the road in a ditch in the ice and snow- so obviously it wouldn't remain at the $85 no matter who towed you!! read more

Had This hack outfit tow my Porsche Carrera from PA to NJ through AAA. The guy who picked me up in Pa was nice, helpful and took care of my car. They couldn't deliver it till the next morning to NJ. A different driver delivered it and damaged the clear bra on my fenders because he put the towing straps right up against the fenders without any padding or protection and wore right through the clear bra. he also ripped the rubber lip off the front. When i called him on it he made all sorts of excuses and said vehicles move all the time on the flatbed. Worse yet after reporting it to the dispatcher the owner didn't even have the decency to call me back. When I called him I spoke with the dispatcher and she told he said AAA would handle it. DO NOT use this company. The owner is a horrible businessman. Caused hundreds in damage on a $100k car and can't even call me to apologize or even listen to me. I would give it 0 stars but at least the first guy who towed me was a decent guy. The owner should be pumping gas somewhere where taking responsibility isn't a requirement. read more

My son was on the side of the highway and requested a tow to a hotel. He needed to get back to college and was a few hours away. When we had a blowout of two tires on I-80 Muldoon's Towing responded promptly. We were off the highway in under half an hour. They noted the model of tire during the initial telephone call and were able to order and replace the two tires (of an unusual size), in less time than it took for us to go next door and have pizza. The service was friendly, courteous and professional and very reasonably priced. Blowout - to - back - on - the - road in less than an hour and half. Justin gets 5 stars in my book for giving me and my two kids a ride back up to the lodge after we walked down to the garage to get our stuff out of our broken down vehicle. Unfortunately, Leann probably shouldn't work in customer service because she's terrible dealing with people so she gets 0 stars. I settled on a 3 to meet in the middle. Towing was fast and they gave me a break on it price wise but overall cost was over 200 more than I was initially quoted.
