Just had the front of my car fixed. Looks brand new. Very easy to deal with and dealt with insurance company as needed.

Muldoon's Towing & Auto Repair - Driver speeding (over 75mph) and being aggressive when behind vehicles going 60mph.

Muldoon's Towing & Auto Repair

We found ourselves in a predicament the other day having slid off the road in a snow squall. We…read morecalled AAA and a truck from Muldoon's was dispatched. The AAA agent called back to explain that there would be additional charges from the company and that the trucks did not have 4x4 capability. I called the company to give them the information regarding our situation and the dispatcher seemed overwhelmed and came off very impatient. I can understand given it was a busy night but she could have handled the call better. When the truck arrived, the gentleman driving was truly awesome. He ensured the scene was safe and informed me of his plan. That was when he ran into an issue. The winch on the truck was bound internally and he was unable to extend or retract the cable. Having used a similar winch in the Air Force, I was able to help troubleshoot the situation with him, fix it, and he ultimately got the job done safely and very quickly. I don't know about all the drivers, but the guy they sent to help us was great! The $100 fee on top of AAA's contribution, while not exorbitant given the situation, was explained by the dispatcher as "low" compared to what it "should" be and if there needed to be any other additional steps in extracting my vehicle from the snow it would be a substantial increase in cost.

Murray's Towing amd Service Center - Picture of us stuck in a ditch.

Murray's Towing amd Service Center

Gregg Branham W/JAT of Fort Wayne…read more We had a massive bill from this company for a minor winch out of a snowy ditch. It was a complete scam, and I took it as far as I could with the State of Pennsylvania District Attorney and the Pennsylvania State Police. Unfortunately, there isn't anything illegal about ripping the head off of some unexpecting company in an uncontrollable situation. I even reached out to the Pennsylvania Motor Carrier Association who is working on legislation for Predatory Towing such us what happened to us. We originally received a $20,000 invoice for around 1 hours' worth of work. They had a 4-hour minimum with what appeared to be every piece of equipment in their fleet, as well as charging us a $2,500 call out fee on top of the 4-hour minimum. You can't see it in this picture, but Murray's Towing was called by the State Police, but another company actually pulled us out of the ditch. Boots & Franks was the company seen in this picture. For everyone's viewing pleasure I have attached pictures of the incident along with original invoices. They did eventually deduct a little off the $20,000 invoice but it was still highway robbery. Here is a great article that speaks on predatory towing and what the federal government is doing to get a handle on it. https://www.ttnews.com/articles/federal-predatory-towing?utm_source=daily&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=newsletter&mktId=223816&mkt_tok=OTA1LUJCVy04NzYAAAGT9Ej5L8CwFXnCE0lJrHtXeFN5HJ89INnqBS3BPk8mdDZiA1m5Fkz-WDVuZwhJQ0BLB9qAthLwcFAYIHJJo0h0haMk1ZIru9Eep9DsWOnWjwk Side note: I had all this information on their google review, but it appears they deleted their google account. I would assume Yelp is gone next. gbranham@jatfw.com if anyone has anything to add. Thanks to everyone who reads this. Update: I did find their google review, it was not deleted but I feel better finding this yelp account. Have a great day to everyone who reads this.

It is a shame that our legal system doesn't protect consumers and businesses against companies like this and they are allowed to continue to be on the state rotation for accidents that are called in by the police. If you see Murray's coming, you might as well just hand them the keys and title because their bill will be more than the value of your truck, trailer, and load combined. Oh, and Murray's sometimes subs out their work, so even if someone else comes, it could still be Murray's pulling the strings. Stay as far away from them as possible.
