Beach volleyball! 2 courts. Nestled behind the moningolf course. A small tent to house a small party next to it and a hose. What else do you need? Wow it's so sad to see what this place has turned into. This is in regard to mini-golf only. A long time ago this was a very busy and popular spot. Now it looks kind of like creepy. The volcano used to erupt with fire which was so cool, each hole was very clean and now half of the plates around the holes move and can be lifted right up, most of the bricks around the areas are either not in tack and you can easily trip or hurt yourself on them or they're removed. It looks so rundown and some of the rocks on the green are even like broken. (Wish I would've took pictures) and before, at the end you would put your ball in this maze type thing and if it landed in the middle (kind of like plinko) you won another game, they did away with that awhile ago not sure why. So they have 2 paths you can go when you mini-golf. The volcano way or the boat way. They all need fixing and repairing. We just made the best of it but you got families getting bored and they just skip to the other path mid-way because they're impatient (they have rules posted not to do this). The family in front of us was using their time to hit water bottles around. It sucks because I used to love it here but it's like a ghost town, and with the prices they don't match the experience. Unfortunately there's no point in coming back unless they fix all these issues. I only gave 2 stars because the kids working there are just sweet and trying to make an honest living and I love that for them. read more

Went to enjoy mini golf last weekend and Mulligans Island will not be a choice ever again. One & Done . The whole course is atrocious and there is no upkeep. From the clubs to the balls it seems the mind frame is money has already been made no need for any upkeep as people continue to come and spend their hard earned dollars no need to show care of the establishment. It all seems run down from the batting cages to the golf range. The bathrooms are nasty , urinal broken down and the smell smacked me in the face. My only good comment is the staff at the window whom was very polite. On a scale of 1-10 they get a negative 1 read more

The place doesn't allow driving range ball purchases after 5:30pm. It's the end of April. Absolutely insane.

I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was super crowded. I felt squished between the slow people ahead of us and the impatient people behind us. The course itself wasn't that exciting either. It's personal preference, but I prefer the kitsch of other mini golf places. read more

From what I remember most places usually have a whole in one type gimmic on the last hole to win something, but not here. Friendly people. read more

Mini golfing was so fun! It's a smaller course. They have Drinks at the window. They also have a Driving range outdoors but doesn't have a rooftop cover so be wary of rain. I believe I saw Batting cages as well. Definitely something to do in warm weather. read more

As far as mini golf goes this place was disappointing. The course had no effort put into its construction with many awkward edges and hazards that really made no sense. Just a painful miserable golfing experience. Would've rather watched paint dry or maybe electrocuted myself in an empty room. read more

This place is still immaculately Landscaped and relevant even though it's been opened over 10 years now. My son wanted to do mini golf and this is the nicest mini golf location in RI So we made the 45 minute drive down and we were surprised with how busy it was & it didn't seem dated - which I had anticipated! The mini golf was extremely busy. We had people in front of us and behind us- but everyone was friendly & nice & we didn't have any issues while waiting for others to finish/or others waiting for us to finish. You could choose between 2 different paths- a volcano path and a shipwrecked path- we chose the volcano! My son was pleasantly surprised to see the volcano still spews lava! It happens every 30 mins according to my calculations and boy does that lava give off some heat! It was extremely hot the day we came! But he enjoyed it and everyone oohs and ahhs when it goes off! My son also wanted to do the batting cages which he enjoyed & then finally he asked about the driving range but luckily we got out of that- because you had to bring your own golf clubs & we didn't have ours! Overall I was surprised to see this place still busy and thriving despite no major changes or renovation's in the recent years... I remember we took my son here once he was a toddler and again this most recent time (he's 7), but We probably won't be back unless they make some updates but overall it's great if you like to do the driving range/golf, a round of mini golf, and there aren't too many batting cages around anymore - so it's nice to see one still standing! I wish we lived closer to a batting cage tbh! Unfortunately for a 45 min drive there wouldn't be much for us to do a second time here! I could definitely see them adding rides and other novelty's here to make it more of a kids fun place! However despite no changes it's still maintained well and was meticulously clean- which is always great to see! 5/5 stars- if you want to do mini-golf anywhere in Rhode Island- I would definitely make this your starting point! read more

Arrived here on a Wednesday morning and paid for our 18 holes on volcano side.. typical mini golf layout. the volcano just had a water fall spilling out, didn't have to wait to play which was nice .. it got busy as were just finish game like 11:30-12:00. On May 28th 2024 I went to hit a bucket of balls of which I was charged $14. Today I check my balance and I noticed my checking account was charged another $14 for me being at the driving range supposedly today. Well there's only one thing wrong. I was never there. Now I have to contact my bank tomorrow and deal with a charge of $14 which I'm not responsible for. Then I have to drive to mulligans golf and find out who and why is responsible for charging my debit card again for no reason. I'm letting people know this because something isn't right. All I know is I'm never going to mulligans ever again. Watch out people and check your credit card information if you go to this location. Buyer be ware !!!!! read more

I've been a handful of times the last few months and overall, it's not a bad place to hit a bucket of balls or play mini golf. Prices are ok, not great, but it's not like there's a lot of other options nearby for either. The driving range is fine; there were tees on the mats we used, so we didn't have to scrounge. Played both mini golf courses. The volcano side is in good shape as of this past weekend. The water was not green or foamy and the carpets were fine. When I went earlier in the summer and played the pirate side, the water was a little gross, but the carpets were fine then too, so I'm guessing they have done some upkeep since some of the previous reviews. Haven't played the pitch and putt course or used the batting cages, so can't comment on that. My 7 year old son enjoyed the mini-golf, so I'm sure we'll be back again. read more

Visited here on fathers day for a mini golf game with the kids. This place sits in Cranston off Route 2 and is in a very large open area. I try to forget it is next store to the prisons. The place contains not only mini golf but batting cages and a huge driving range and also pitch and putt course. The mini golf has two large 18 hole courses, a volcano and a ship wreck and is pretty cool. The course was ok, some of the greens were in rough shape but overall, not bad. The staff here is nice and helpful and the prices were what you would expect. The holes here are challenging and some are in caves and there are water features all over which is cool. I did enjoy the time here and it was close to Providence which is nice and easy to get to. read more

Would like to have given it 3.5 stars because for a place like this, they offer lots to do. There's the range, the pitch & putt, the par-3 course, mini golf, and batting cages. They aren't terribly well maintained but better than most places that I've been to. I don't know too many places where you can do all day pitch & putt for $10. The golf balls buckets for the range are bit on the pricey side compared to places we always go to in NJ. Most mats are missing the tees. But not. A bad place to go to get your golf practice in. Not the most well maintained golf course, with holes everywhere, but an overall, an ok place to come for a round of practice. We always come here when visiting RI. read more

Challenging course with dual tier holes, wasn't too crowded, simple landscape - fun times!

This is my go to place to practice my golf skills. They have covered bays and uncovered bays to practice using chipping to driving. Miniature golf, batting cages, beach volleyball leagues, putting practice, and pitch and putt, are all available. There are also some drinks like Powerade, soda, and beer sold and some places to sit outside and watch the golf balls fly. Large parking lot and sometimes during the summer months they have music on a stage. read more

The mini golf is really, really, really awful. It's extremely overpriced, full of defunct fountains in smelly algae pools spawning mosquitos, broken bricks, and sporting a volcano that does... nothing. The course is open after 8 but so poorly lit you can't see anything so there is no way they should have it open after dark. We had to use flashlights to see the holes. The best part of this course are the bunnies and frogs as nature reclaims this embarrassment of a course. For the price, they should put some money into refurbishing this course; it used to be really pretty :( read more

Booked a round of mini golf here for my sons 6th birthday. The staff was all very young but super polite and friendly. All wore masks and observed social distancing. There was definitely the feeling that they already expected you to have been and know the ropes and I had to ask a few times where to go, what to do etc. The corse was cute, and not too long but long enough to enjoy yourselves. My only complaint was that all of the water fixtures, volcano, etc weren't on or full. So it looked pretty barren and empty. Regardless my son still had a blast and that's what really mattered to me. Mini golf was awful, i would never return. the course is very poorly maintained (if maintained at all), the green was covered in branches, leaves, garbage, anything really. the silver rim around the holes are popping out of the ground which means you can't get your ball in. there was one specific hole that is in a little 'cave,' with a waterfall, the water was disgusting and filled with trash, leaves, and all of the lights were out in there so you couldn't even see what you were doing. staff wasn't the friendliest either. there's no score cards, pencils, it's almost like they know their mini golf course is a joke and you can't take it seriously. read more

The first thing I noticed is that the prices have gone up again. We went for mini-golf, which was recently raised to $14/adult. The second thing I noticed is that the course is all torn up. We followed the volcano course. Many of the holes had carpeting ripped up, creating little divets. We still enjoyed ourselves because it's mini-golf, but the course needs maintenance, especially at these prices. read more

Pros: Fun par 3 golf course! Well-maintained, good price point. Cons: Horrific bathrooms conditions. My last three visits had no soap, no paper towels and clogged, overflowing toilets. It's so bad at this point, it may keep me away from the golf course. read more

Had a Groupon and decided to use it for miniature golf. Decided on the RED course, which goes through the volcano, which was dormant during our visit....not smoke nor water falling on the side of the mountain. Even though this is the easy course, there were some really fun holes. The day I went it was nice and sunny, temps in the mid 70s, so it was just a perfect day for putt putt. Every summer calls for at least one round of mini golf, and this is where we take ours in. It's $10 a head, and for that price you can choose one of two paths: - RED = easy-peasy - BLUE = difficult Red is so easy you'll find yourself in a state of ennui. Full of par twos, and simple enough to score a hole in one at least once. Michael and I both did it. This is the side where you "go through the mountain" but it's a nap of a hole, so don't feel tempted, unless the kiddos beg. Blue is quite labor intensive with multiple par three and fours. If you're out on a hot day be sure to bring lots of water cuz it might take you a few hours to make it to the 19th - your pick of Cranston watering holes! They allow you to do another round at a discounted rate of $5/person and a practice putting green is available which I strongly encourage you to use prior to the blue course. The balls and putters suck, especially if you're tall - so BYOPutter if you want to play a proper round of mini. read more

We took our four kids there yesterday for mini-golf and some batting practice. The golf was ok, but the course has definitely seen better days ($72 for 6 of us). The batting cages were a nightmare. Bought 10 rounds ($25) and we were lucky if we got 4 completed. The machines kept stopping and throwing air because the hopper wasn't being replenished. One cage did not work at all and stole the tokens. Employees tried to help but it was a losing battle. Did not get our money's worth at all at the cages. But, if you're looking for a quick mini-golf game and live close by give it a shot. read more

We visited mini golf today and had to leave without finishing due to the dangerous situation of them replacing the greens while the facility was open. We were told AFTER we paid for our rounds of golf that a few of the greens were being repaired and to skip these holes. They acted like it was no big deal. Almost every hole had issues. Furthermore there were cans of carpet glue open everywhere with a very strong odor. The bigger hazard was the grass AstroTurf carpet being loose and laying out over every green and walkway. All 4 of us tripped numerous times. Definitely not worth the approximately $40 we spent on a dangerous round of mini golf. We voiced our concerns as we're leaving and the 2 people working mini golf said they had no control of the situation. read more

I read Kelli P.'s review just before heading out to meet friends, and suddenly thought "I don't want to go!", but everyone was already on their way, so I took the best advice she had to say: DON'T go the route that will take you away from the Volcano! Mulligan's definitely needs to tell you which will go through that great cascade of water, but maybe the other route doesn't have anything else as exciting?? The whole experience was so-so, and I agree that $10 is a lot; if this were some fab place in Florida adorned with pink flamingos or a cool old-fashioned place on the Cape, that would be one thing... but it's next to the prison. Disappointed - took my grandson there because their ads show and brag about the waterfall and volcano. neither of which was working. Greens were in rough shape and only a couple of the "streams" and "ponds" actually had water in them. Place needs some serious maintenance upgrades. read more

Great place for batting practice. Lots of cages to choose from different kind of pitches. Great place overall but the customer service is lacking. No hello, no greeting. Hands me the token. No thank you. No have a great day. Other than that, a chill place to hang out for an hour to several hours. Just don't expect good customer service at the window. read more

My husband had the day off from work so I figured we should try something new. My dad used to take my brother and I mini golfing all over New England when we were kids so when I discovered one in Cranston, I was pretty excited! The website offered a great time! It was pretty easy to get to although I was shocked it was right next to the state prison. Good place to bring your kids! The parking was nice and easy too and it was not very busy when we were there. The service was not very personable. I was shocked that for two adults it cost $20! That's a lot for mini golf! I'm used to $7 per person! Anyways, I was also disappointed that we could not choose our own putter! By the time I was handed by putter and checked to see if it was the right length, the lady was already gone. So, I was stuck with a putter that was too short. Then, they have two courses! Sounds great right? Well, it's not because there is nothing to indicate which course has what and I really wanted to mini golf through the volcano. Of course, there are no signs with any explanation and no one around to help. We chose the blue course and it really sucked! The mats were uneven, there was debris all over the place and the water was nasty! Although I had fun kicking my husband's butt, I did not find Mulligan's Island to be that big of a deal.
