The staff was really friendly, and the groups were spaced out sufficiently so we could play relatively quickly and not feel rushed by groups behind us. It is a pretty flat, straightforward layout, so we opted to walk and found it very walkable. The heart of the fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. Sure, the tee boxes looked well used/worn and once you got off fairway the conditions were dry and a little rough, but for a public course at this price point, I would definitely play here again. Sand in bunkers was almost like concrete, so not great to hit out of...but you can role through them like a cart path! If you're looking for a Pinehills experience, or something that rivals an exclusive country club, this is not a place for you. But for a relaxed, laid back walkable 9-hole course, you could do worse.

I've…read morestopped in to see my favorite employee, Erin, grabbed drinks with a friend and recently attended a Memorial Golf Tournament. Every experience has been wonderful. Everything always runs smoothly and you can truly tell the entire team works well together. From the operations crew to the bartenders, everyone is friendly, welcoming and helpful. This course is such a special spot in Jamestown. Do not let the smaller size fool you. The recent upgrades are fantastic and the course is always looking fresh, green and beautifully maintained. The clubhouse is also consistently bright and clean. Thank you to everyone at Jamestown Golf Course for always creating such a great atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Fairways were well trimmed.. rough was tall, but not overly treacherous. The best quality of this course is that it's fairly wide open. Wayward shots are not severely penalized, but you can get yourself into serious trouble if you're too far off course. Greens are fair with respect to speed, and are fairly large and receptive. Pin placements can be on the tricky side at times. The most daunting shot is on Hole 16, with a Looooong carry over water, easily 180 yards, or at least it seemed that long. The clubhouse was nice, and the pastrami sandwich I got was pretty good. The starter/cashier guy was this 75 yr old guy who told bad jokes and chastised me for taking an extra couple of scorecards ("there expensive, ya know"). Considering the shape of the course, $36 for 18 was a pretty good price. One of my favorite courses in RI.

Most professional conditions a duffer like me has ever played. Just 9 holes and gets very backed up on weekends but what a value. Also, even when we seem to be waiting 30 minutes on each hole the round only takes about 2 hours. We must be playing fast in my group. I wish I lived near enough to become a member here. Such a great course and the people in the pro shop are very friendly. I almost wish I were a drinker because they have a beautiful array of whiskeys as well!

This park is a vast well maintained full service state park in the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island! For a small fee, we rented a gorgeous little private shaded spot with two picnic benched and real bathroom facilities. We brought out food and a small grill to cookout. They did come check our permit, which you need to reserve to grill. Dell's lemonade truck is often present, so we treated ourselves to the famous Dell's frozen lemonade-yay! We were there a good 5 or 6 hours and it was a perfectly lovely and enjoyable day for our family to relax and enjoy our rare time to reconnect in person. What an invaluable experience. I can't stress enough having uninterrupted time with those you love. Cell service is non existent, so take this time to disconnect off the grid and just live and love. This place is a true simple gift-a Beautiful way to reconnect and just feed the soul. Take my advice, do it now, while you can. Make a happy plan before life makes other plans! Beautiful, large park with many different sections. A great boardwalk by the narrow beach. A…read morewonderful place to take dogs, lots of benches to take rests, and an ample parking lot whose potholes were recently fixed, yay! Sometimes it's hard to find out what part of the park you're meant to meet someone in since there are so many sections. You can walk along the long beach or try a woodsy hiking trail. The trails on the right of the beach have either steps or a gradual slope to get up to the top of them, and you can look down over a small cliff to see the water below. The trails on the left of the gazebo are beautiful and give you many options, but people ride horses here, so be mindful of the droppings! This park has fantastic sunsets and multiple picnic areas, plus multi Porta potties that are usually in decent condition to use if needed. The bridge is great to look at, but can get crowded with families doing holiday photo shoots in the fall, so I've become wary of coming here since being stuck on one side of the bridge while a family made us wait to cross until they were done with pictures (ugh). I've come here for walks/hikes and even to wade at multiple times of year and always enjoy a beautiful day and peaceful experience here.

We went to Harbor Lights for Easter brunch and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more When we arrived, the dining room felt cold and damp because a window near our table was left open--even though it was cold and rainy outside. It set the tone for what ended up being a very uncomfortable meal. The organization of the brunch was extremely poor. All tables were seated and then released at the same time, which created complete chaos. There was no direction, no clear flow, and no communication. Two lines formed for the buffet, but there wasn't nearly enough space to accommodate everyone. At the carving station, both lines collided and people had to awkwardly cross over each other just to access different items. The food itself was also underwhelming. Several of the vegetables were undercooked, and overall the quality did not meet expectations for a holiday brunch. To add to the frustration, I asked for milk for my mom's coffee (she can't have cream), and after about 10 minutes, we were told there was no milk anywhere in the building. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience--especially for a special occasion like Easter. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
