Ordered ahead for a quick lunch pickup. First impression is the place is definitely a small operation & unique, but appeared clean. I was greeted immediately. They were working on an order before mine & I was told mine was next. My order was ready about 10 minutes past the promised time. I ordered a crunch wrap and my coworker ordered a burrito and the corn side. Mine was very tasty, definitely filling. I opted for bean but no other protein. Everything seemed fresh. I do wish there was a hard tortilla crunch on the inside like others I've had. I will not hesitate to return and try other items on the menu also!

Muncheez has taken over the olde Hippos location. I was in the neighborhood and hungry. I tried one slider and one carnitas taco. Both are excellent! Tasty. A proper taco, not a Taco Bell clone. Will I return? Absolutely, yes!

I mean it was okayyyy. The food was mediocre at best lol. Rice was overcooked and beans needed seasoning. It was good if you've never had Mexican cuisine before. Maybe the burgers are good

Place is a GEM!! crunch wrap, 3 Birria and street corn. You can tell this place is run by family. So you're getting authentic Mexican food.

Authentic Mexican food. Giving this place 5 stars. This place is a hidden GEM!!! Family run business so you know you're getting quality food and service.

I was presently surprised by Muncheez. I was craving Birria tacos, and this was close to home, so I thought I'd try them. I went in only planning to order a taco, but walked out with three tacos, a burrito, and a drink, all for about $20. The chicken taco was good, but didn't have much flavor to it. The birria tacos were divine, but you're only given a small soufflé cup of consommé, which is really only enough for a little more than one taco, if it. I wish you'd get one/Birria taco. The burrito was good, the only thing with that, is that I wasn't expecting refried beans on it. Typically places use black or pinto. Next time, I'll def order no beans. The service was exceptional, and I will definitely be back soon.

Driving by Muncheez , my initial thought was that it served "tacos and burgers" This cannot be a winning combination, and they certainly cannot do both items well. I was wrong. In all honesty, the best tacos I've had in a long time. I need Weiss of staff, I tried the street taco trio, carnitas, biarra, and Cajun shrimp. The Carnitas was my favorite, the lime aïoli brought some thing entirely new to the Taco, that I have never experienced before this combination of crispy and salty and sour was incredible. The biarra, was crunchy and delicious. Filled to the brim with cheese meat served with a dipping sauce that had its own amazing flavor. The shrimp, while not my favorite of the three, was still excellent. I really appreciated the contrast between the crunchy fried shrimp and the fresh tomatoes and toppings. The only thing that I didn't love was my side of rice. While passable, was very dry, and not very flavorful. However, it was a minor concern, because after the three tacos you didn't have any room for the rice anyway. Service was quick and helpful. Staff was attentive and kind.

Everything was great. It came out quickly, super fresh and very hot. The tacos were amazing. The Crunchwrap was great. The carne asada fries were just okay. Would definitely be back.

This was my first time coming here, and I decided to get 2 birria tacos. The beef stew was very flavorful and not too salty. Also, the combination of fresh onions, cilantro, and cheese inside the tortilla was simply perfection. It also came with a container of consomme dipping sauce. The store looked new and neat, but we got carryout, as there were no group table seating arrangements available at this location. Overall, I would highly recommend trying this place out :)

Great little place with big flavor! This place is right around the corner from me and in its short time being open it has become a "go to"restaurant for me. Servings are of good size and reasonably priced. Quality is great and the staff/ owner is very friendly. Support places like this!

Wonderful made to order fresh food. I actually saw them cutting up veggies for orders. The staff was friendly and hustled to complete lunch time orders. Menu offered a variety of items. Very little seating only a few counter seats. The clean and helpful staff made it the trip worth while. I'll definitely be back to try more items. My only wish is they could offer more vegetarian options in the future. The location is great as well.

They were actually very quick and pretty good service. I liked the carnitas burrito more then the seasoned beef myself and the tacos were actually more then expected

Ordered Seasoned Beef Burrito w extra onions and cilantro. Would have preferred more beef and rice. Beans were heavy. I understand that they try to cater to the Taco Bell Gringos but I would prefer to have less than gringo Mexican food. One small container of sauce was pretty good but could have used 2 more.

They don't have soft drinks or water cups so you'd need to get a drink from their cooler. I was impressed with them having displayed fresh veggies, it makes eating-out a little more bearable when you're able to see the freshness of your meal. Delicious, the chicken tacos didn't look super seasoned but boy was I surprised! Super flavorful, and I loved that each entree came with grilled onions, jalapeño, 2 salsas (red and an avocado creama), and 2 lime slices! I always stick to the corn tortillas, they're far better than flour, if you're new to this sort of stuff. Only grievance is that my friend found a TWIG in his burrito while eating the second half. He was 75% done with the burrito, and since it wasn't glass, metal, plastic, or body hair, we didn't complain. He was grossed out ... but I just figured it was an honest mess up from either the limes or cilantro. If he started with that half and noticed it earlier in his meal, he probably would've told the staff. I would absolutely return here. Generous portions of meat and very flavorful!!!

I've…read morebeen coming here for over five years, and at this point, it is one of the only places I'll go when I want tacos because everything else tends to leave me wondering why I didn't just come here in the first place. The tacos are every bit as good as people say and the environment is clean and relaxed, they usually have some good music playing too. Authentic, flavorful, consistent, and made with care. But the birria is the real star for me. Hands down, it is the best birria I've had anywhere in Metro Detroit. Rich, tender, packed with flavor, and exactly the kind of thing you think about again later like it owes you money. The owner is also genuinely one of the sweetest people. He remembered my order after only a few visits, and that kind of personal touch makes the place feel even more special. I usually stick with my Mexican Coke, but I love that they have their liquor license now, because a margarita or Corona with the food is a very solid upgrade. I've brought a bunch of people here and sent a whole handful of others, and everyone has said the same thing. It is some of the best Mexican food they've ever had. One of my friends even said it was better than what he had in California and Mexico, which is a bold statement, but Que Pasa can handle bold statements. Que Pasa is not just good for the area, it is the standard I compare everyone else to. Which is probably unfair to everyone else, but here we are.

We love Oaxaca (Troy), but thought we'd try out Que Pasa as well, while we were in the area. Oaxaca…read morereigns as local best in our opinion! Things that worked at Que Pasa: the margaritas were excellent, and all the food we tried (tortas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas) were very good too. Things that need work: there was definitely a language barrier ordering and requesting that they bill our three families separately. They were using a handheld machine for orders and it took three times going over our order before it was finally put in correctly. Although we asked for bills separated, we wound up with one bill, which was too tricky to split up the way they had entered everything, so we paid for everything and had to figure out $ later. Not a major deal, just a nuisance. Also, no AC and the seating was the type of wood that needs shellacking since the shine has worn off and it's sticky. You leave feeling sweaty and sticky, and that's not the way you want to feel on a hot day.

The parking can be tricky too. All of the parking behind the building are reserved. Even in the parking garage. And if you take a wrong turn you end up in a dead end. With that said, this place was very cute. There were vibrant paintings on the walls. They have a bad area that is fairly well stocked. They offer a variety of beers on draft too. No wine though. They specialize in margaritas (surprise surprise). You can order a flight or just singles. They offer frozen or on the rocks and they have quite a decent selection. They also offer Happy hour until 6 pm. Our server was amazing. He was very polite and explained the menu well. We started with chips, salsa, queso, and corn salsa. All were incredible! They are known for their double decker Tacos. They are a hard shell taco wrapped in a tortilla. I wasn't sure about this but they were FANTASTIC! My husband and I ordered the pork and chicken tacos with crispy shells (don't remember the exact names), along with the street corn and chips. Unfortunately, the food didn't really meet our expectations. It felt more like elevated bar food than authentic tacos. There was just too much going on with the ingredients, and the flavors didn't quite come together for us. We've definitely had better tacos elsewhere. That said, the service was quick and our server was attentive throughout the meal, which we appreciated. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible, it just wasn't our taste when it came to the food.

I'm very disappointed with my experience at Aldana Mexican Grill in Troy…read more I had a 6:00 p.m. reservation and arrived on time. When I walked in, the host was on the phone. He clearly saw me, walked toward the back to finish his call, and when he returned, he immediately greeted a white woman who had walked in after me. She actually had to tell him that I was there first. He then seated my party, apologized, and said he "didn't see me," although from where I was standing, I find that very difficult to believe. Unfortunately, the service did not improve. Our waiter did not take our food order until approximately 6:45 p.m. Once our food arrived, one of my fish tacos was visibly burnt. I tried several times to get our waiter's attention so I could send it back, and we were repeatedly ignored. He also never returned to check on our table, ask how the food was, or see if we wanted another drink or needed anything else. I eventually tried to get the manager's attention and was also ignored until another waitress noticed and let her know that we had been trying to speak with her. When the manager finally came over, she was very focused on taking the burnt taco back and offering to replace it. At that point, I no longer wanted another taco. I explained that the issue was much bigger than one burnt item--the poor treatment and lack of service had started from the moment we walked through the door. Our waiter mentioned that they were short-staffed. I completely understand that restaurants can have staffing issues, but what made this experience especially troubling was watching customers who arrived after us or around the same time receive timely, attentive service while our table repeatedly struggled to get anyone's attention. If the restaurant were simply overwhelmed, I would have expected to see multiple tables experiencing similar delays. That was not what I observed. I don't make accusations like this lightly, but the pattern of being overlooked, ignored, and treated differently throughout the evening felt microaggressive and racially biased to me. The interaction at the host stand, followed by the noticeably different level of service we received compared with other customers, made my party feel unwelcome. We came to celebrate and enjoy dinner, and instead spent much of the evening trying to get basic service. I hope management takes experiences like this seriously and looks closely at how all guests are acknowledged and treated, because no customer should leave a restaurant feeling as though they were intentionally invisible.
