I recently visited Limon on an early Friday evening, and despite the restaurant not being busy, the…read morelevel of service varied significantly among the staff. The standout of the night was Javier C. He appeared to be doing the work of multiple people--serving tables, tending the bar, and even helping clear and reset tables. Throughout the evening, he remained attentive, professional, friendly, and efficient. He consistently checked on guests and ensured everyone had what they needed. Unfortunately, many of the other servers seemed disengaged. Several appeared more focused on standing around and repeatedly wiping menus than assisting guests or checking on their tables. As a result, Javier seemed to be carrying much of the workload himself while other team members were noticeably inattentive. Limon is fortunate to have an employee like Javier. His work ethic, sense of urgency, and dedication to customer service set an excellent example. I hope management recognizes his efforts and encourages the rest of the team to follow his lead. Javier was the reason our dining experience remained positive despite the lackluster service from much of the rest of the staff.

I've tried lomo saltado dishes at other restaurants (because I have found the need to always get this dish at a Peruvian restaurant ever since my first time at Limón), but nothing compares. I've tried a couple that have come close though! Came here on a Tuesday evening (made a reservation online for three). Lomo Saltado: always my go-to dish. I very rarely venture away from this dish (will usually get ceviche in addition). Flavorful and filling. Miscellaneous: - If you're going with a larger group or during peak meal times, recommend making a reservation - Parking is available via street parking - Good for small and large groups - The restaurant is loud

Services was notable great as well! We went ahead and ordered everything our server recommended and the spread did not disappoint: Tumaco ceviche w/plantain chips- delicious cod ceviche in coconut milk, tasty and refreshing Arepa de las Monas- a very elevated cheese & mushroom arepa, super creamy and savory! Empanada de ajiaco- chicken empanada with a jalapeño-cilantro aioli, I don't know how something so simple could be so delicious and packed with flavor (my husband loved this one) Corte Andino- ribeye steak with mashed potatoe/plantains and a salad, perfect large plate to share We also ordered two drinks and I forgot the name but mine had two white gummy bears in it and it was bomb. I can't wait to come to try the Santa Maria ceviche, tostones, and branzino!

The ceviche was good, and the steak was cooked properly, though it's hard to mess up a steak. The Brussels sprouts were underwhelming, and the chicharrones portion was pretty skimpy. Overall, it was perfectly acceptable, but I probably would not go out of my way to come back. The service, drinks, and setting were the strongest parts of the experience.

The employee quickly greeted me, and provided me with a menu when I told her I would be ordering takeout. They conveniently have two menus one vegetarian menu and one regular menu. I'd seen plenty of reviews on the anticuchos, aka the beef heart skewers, and I thought I would live a little and give it a try. I also ordered the lomo saltado, which is thinly cut steak served with vegetables rice and French fries. While I was waiting for my food, I could not help but appreciate the interior of this restaurant. This place is designed exceptionally well. This would be a perfect atmosphere for a lunch/dinner date or to meet friends. I was utterly amazed at the interior and ambiance of this restaurant. The food was prepared in about 10 minutes, and the entire time I could smell the delicious and mesmerizing aromas coming from the kitchen. I regretted getting my food to go because those savory scents made me want to dig into the food as soon as it came out. Once I finally got enjoy the food, my only two regrets were: 1. Why didn't I order more menu items ? 2. Why haven't I tried this place earlier? The anticuchos was marinated and cooked to perfection. Beef heart is not something you see on a menu often and a lot of places that serve it tend to overcook it which causes it to be overly tough and chewy. You only get one skewer for this order, but there is a good amount of beef on that one skewer. This dish is served with sliced potatoes that added a nice textural balance to the dish. The sauce they serve it with is a bit spicy, so test it out first before bathing your food in it. The anticuchos is probably not for everyone, as beef heart has a slight iron like taste to it that some people might not like if they are not accustomed to it. The lomo saltado was pretty tasty, however I thought there was far too much rice and not enough steak and vegetables compared to most places I've gotten this dish in the past. The rice was your typical white rice, nothing special. But the beef and vegetables were seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection. Price wise, this restaurant is not cheap but not overly expensive. For the two dishes I got, it came out to around $42 not including gratuity. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Peruvian food and/or is looking for a place with a nice ambiance to enjoy a meal alone, a dare, or friends/family. I will definitely be returning and checking out some of their other menu items.

Now, the only gripes that I have with this place are: - Sometimes there are certain staff members that are less than friendly. If it wasn't for the amazing food and the integrity I've known the owner to have, that would have completely ruined my experience. - I don't know what it is, but sometimes it takes a little longer to get my order, so I wouldn't come here if you're absolutely starving. - Lastly, I wish I could place an order on the phone. It would save a lot of time. Overall, though, this place still deserves a 5 star because the food is absolutely amazing, and the vibes make you feel amazing.

Luckily for us, while most of the stalls at the Public Market weren't even open yet, Paradita was ready to save the day! We ordered the grilled pork belly on salad, the mushroom empanadas, and a passion fruit drink to wash it all down. Side note: their cocktails sounded incredible, but at 10 AM, we figured it was a tad too early to start day-drinking, lol! The food was absolutely stellar: The Grilled Pork Belly: Incredible. Super tender, not overly fatty, and packed with flavor. It sits on a tasty vinaigrette salad, and the potatoes on the side were executed perfectly--nice and fluffy on the inside with a perfectly roasted skin. The Mushroom Empanadas: These were unique! Instead of the typical heavy, deep-fried style, they use a flaky puff pastry for the shell. The filling was savory and so delicious. Prices were reasonable, and the owner was helpful and friendly while we ordered. If you're at the Public Market, I highly recommend checking this spot out! They totally crushed it.

I met the lovely Aurora who took great care of me from start to finish. This spot had a great happy hour and i definitely took advantage of the HH drinks. I had two for 10 bucks a piece, such a great little deal. Initially I wanted a burger, but if there is raw fish on the menu, all other thoughts leave my brain. So, of course, I had to grab the ahi tuna bowl. and my oh my, that was delicious!!!!! So many places with tuna, don't serve it with Won Ton chips, but Roses on Adeline got the memo! I love a won ton chip and these were giant and perfect with my fish. The fish came in a lovely sauce. So perfect! Such a great spot! I had a great time chatting it up with Aurora and eating yummy food. I love finding places that are somewhat nearby because it gives me a great excuse to come again.
