2 double mega burgers (minus the chips), 2 lemonades, and a 1/2 order of munchie fries.

We each had a double mega burger and oh my god I am bedazzled! The meat was fresh, the fries were insane. Someone said earlier, "way better than in-n-out." I wouldn't compare them, munchie PopUp has their own unique flavor. Oh, before I forget! The lemonade is to die for :@

I'll start off with the parking. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center if you get there early enough. The decor was on par with the theme. The place is not big but every inch of this place was decorated. Definitely gave a Halloween vibe. My husband and I wanted to try the food. At the entrance I was told to ask a waitress about a table. Some were reserved already so we waited a little while. Paola hooked us up with a table about 10 minutes later. We ordered our food and some drinks and within 10 minutes we were eating. We ordered some wings a burger and Cajun fries. Everything was delicious and although the drinks are kind of pricey they were delicious. Paola kept checking in on us and once we were ready to close the tab, she got us a high top table by the area where people were dancing. She still would check in on us from time to time and even brought us some water. So shout out to her! The dj played good music and the whole place was vibing. Everyone was having a good time. They played music that made me reminisce of my high school days as well as current music. The only thing I was not to fond of was the bathroom. Only two stalls for the women's restroom and a bathroom for either gender. At times the line would be long. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves very much and would definitely go back next year if they do it again.

I felt almost confused at first, like as if the restaurant wasn't even sure of its own identity. However, once I started eating the food, I understood and am extremely impressed. I had ordered the crawfish pasta, popcorn chicken (spicy), and fried baos. The pasta was cooked perfectly with chunks of crawfish and sausage in a creamy tomato-esque sauce. I usually don't care for crawfish, but it was so delicious here. The sauce was so buttery and creamy, and the sausage added a cajun spice to the dish. The components are all very seafood boil, but felt different and innovative with unique flavors. The popcorn chicken was seasoned very well and had the perfect fried, crispy texture you'd expect from popcorn chicken. What really made this unique was the sauce that it was served with. I am not sure what exactly the sauce is, but it tastes like a ginger scallion sauce that is served with Chinese boiled chicken. The sauce is a little more elevated and flavorful than a traditional ginger scallion sauce. I would've never thought to combine popcorn chicken with it, but it works! The fried baos were the most surprising to me. I was keeping my expectations low because I usually think frying something that's not normally fried doesn't always bode well. Fear not, the baos were fried perfectly. They were fried lightly while the inside kept your typical bao consistency. Also, in case you were wondering the type of bao, it is basically a steamed bao with ground pork, and I think an egg yolk inside. The flavors felt very much like traditional dim sum, yet new and fresh. Hats off to the chefs and the creators of these dishes. So innovative while still keeping the familiar Asian flavors! I ordered delivery, so this review was solely based off of the food.

Service/ ambiance: 5/5. The woman and man working there are so kind, and really wanted to help answer all the question I had. I really appreciate that! I also really loved the way it was decorated. It's very cute and gives family yet Moriscos vibes. Pricing: 2/5 2 tacos and 1 tostada was almost 30.00. I did buy an extra sauce ($1.15) But ultimately the pricing here (in my humble opinion) is a bit unfair for what you're getting. Food: 1/5 Ah. I feel so guilty because I wanted to love this place, yet I ended up not even liking it. The marlin tostada was so salty it tased like it was dipped in the ocean. I'm not sure why or If it was a mistake? But I absolutely didn't eat it after 1 bite. The 2 "GOBERNADOR" dorado tacos were the opposite, they were so SWEET. I was not expecting that nor did I want that. I made sure to ask for the dressings on the side just to be sure and ahhh. . . I never in my life had sweet tacos, and I never want any again, lol. The avocado salsa was a 10. It was actually amazing and glad I purchased a side of it. I will def eat it with chips. All in all- I will not be back. However, I want to strongly suggest trying it for yourself. My bf and I had the best Marlin tacos in Mexico ( I seriously salivate thinking about it) and maybe my expectations were just extremely high. I also feel maybe I just should have tried to order something else. I do wish these kind people the best!

I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.
