I saw a post saying these were the best chili cheese fries in BG. I hadn't had them since JBs was closed down so I figured I would try them again. They're not bad. But I don't think they're the best. The entire time I wished they were a little bit saltier as they somehow lean towards a sweeter end of a should be savory bite. They're cheese was probably my biggest issue. It resembles shredded kraft singles. I think if the cheese was swapped out with anything else it might improve the experience. Now I'm on a world tour of bell gardens chili cheese fries. read more

I was around the area and came across this restaurant. My rating is only due to the place needing some cleaning and had flies everywhere. It was pretty dusty and the kitchen looked very greasy. The food was actually pretty good. I like my burgers thin ,so this was perfect for me. The fries were really crispy and the seasoning was a simple mix of salt and pepper. It was delicious! The staff were friendly and got my food pretty quick! read more

It was my wife's and I first time here. Recently saw reviews on TikTok the food look good. The Double bacon avacado cheese burger was amazing. You gotta give it try. Kind of steep on price but definitely worth it. The chili cheese fries were alright for me. The chili was too sweet for my liking. The chicken sandwich was okay too, lacking in flavor and was dry. But overall good place. Ps the Ranch and 1000 island are bomb! read more

I went through their drive through and the woman at the window was very sweet and kind. She took my order and I waited for it to be made. It's took about 10 minutes but I had time to kill. I could also see the worker assembling my burger fresh and putting in my fries to the fryer. It's always great to see the food being prepared to order rather than just being pulled from the warming trays. The fries were so crispy, salted perfectly and the serving was massive. I was able to share a large with my kids and they kept commenting how yummy the fries were. My burger was tasty too. The pickles were big, sour, and crunchy. I always love and appreciate great pickles. They also gave me yellow peppers and boy were they HOT. Overall I prefer going to mom-and-pop diners over popular places like McDonalds because the food just tastes so much better and they always season things right. It was also really reasonably priced too! It might be small and in a congested area but it's worth making a pit stop if you're ever in the area. read more

Old school spot with nice size portions! I'm super picky when it comes to my chilly cheese fries and this spot was pretty good I'd definitely come back for them. Chili cheese fries are the best! Don't forget you have to get the thousand island dressing to go with it. Burgers r always good. Recently tried their chilaquiles and me and my husband were blown away by how good they were, we weren't expecting that because they just look like basic chilaquiles but you gotta try them. The beans were so good! The only thing I wish we could have had was to add chicken to our chilaquiles but that's not something they do. My wife have been coming to Troy's burgers since she was in high school these my second time coming to Troy's. Everybody in the neighborhood comes to Troy's for breakfast,lunch or dinner. We went in the restaurant my wife say it looks the same it haven't change. I decided order the club sandwich and my wife order a cheeseburger combo and add chili to her fries. The club sandwich was really good I think it need more flavor like mayo or little if mustard or pickles that add more flavors to the sandwich. The fries were very good and crispy that I like. My wife cheeseburger was ok it need more season to meat patty and dressing make burger really good. The chili cheese was ok my wife didn't like the cheese. read more

This joint was usual place all my friends would go eat but I never really tried it, I decided we should go before graduation and let me tell you ! It was the worst decision I made right before our ceremony. I order a basic burger and fries , basic local food . And the worst part was my friends and I all got food poisoning. I've been coming to Troy's since high school, 1999! It was not only a nice place to "ditch," (tisk-tisk), but also a great place to eat! Their chili cheese fries are REALLY good! They taste just as they did back in the day. Fries are hot and crispy, the chili has a good flavor, and the cheese melts perfectly and doesn't taste cheap at all. The burgers are your standard hamburger stand burger. They're just OK. The chili cheese fries is what this place is known for. Sure, there are flies buzzing around, but it's only beause they leave the door open to air out the darn place! Hey Troy's, invest in an ac, yeah? OH, and a refill on a large drink is $1.00! C'mon, what a rip-off! The soda itself costs $1.75! Kind of steep for Sprite that tastes like ass. Oh well...lol read more
