I love a local spot, coffee spot nonetheless and Munchies is no exception for my passion of food and local. The place is very modern, sleek, and super clean. I like to judge my places by how clean the restrooms are and it doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed all the aesthetics! The staff is super friendly and sometimes you could say they are short staffed, but they just get super busy and the "short staffed" look can happen to anyone. They have a variety of drinks and food options that I enjoy that I wish I worked closer to it. The lady wasn't much help when I asked what's her popular drinks, but regardless of that the place was cute and they had fresh flowers there for sale. I just had to get a little cake there. I did not take a picture but to be honest the cake was a little on the dry side. It still wouldn't stop me from trying other things there though. Aesthetically pleasing of a place all around though. A great find! Excellent and surprisingly roomy coffee shop on the main drag in Woodlake. Nice selection of food items and lots of flavored syrups for your coffee. My husband was pleased they got the coffee hot enough for him, which most shops don't do. Really good, rich flavor in my peppermint mocha latte. Stopped in this cute coffee house today for a quick cup of tea but my friend and I ended up chatting away on their comfy chairs for an hour or so. We both thought our server looked quite unhappy, which is too bad - I think I'd be happy to come to work here haha They had a variety of coffee and tea drinks to choose from as well as baked goods, snacks and light lunch items. My friend loved her cinnamon streusel muffin. We both loved her drip brewed coffee and my Butterfly Pea Flower Tea with lemonade, especially the pretty color. This place is better than Starbucks hands down. I order two ice lattes and one breakfast sandwich. The coffees were tasteful. The breakfast sandwich was so fresh you could tell it was like not old dry like frozen taste like when you order from franchises such as Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. It's better and local. So we had some work related meetings in Woodlake. We arrived around lunch time and thought that we could not find a cool spot for lunch. We were wrong...we found Munchies. The space is brand new. Enough sitting and comfy chairs to hang out and enjoy your coffee. Nice art pieces on the wall (see attached pics). The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. I ordered the three meats sandwich which was fresh and delicious. I also ordered a large blueberry lemonade that was also delicious. You definitely won't be disappointed with this place. Munchies is going to put Woodlake on the culinary map for the area. I'm going back again next morning and gonna try their iced lattes next. read more

I stopped in here today from out of town with a coworker of mine and was expecting something like Starbucks, mediocre drinks/food. I was quite surprised on just how good this coffee shop is! I ordered the white mocha, a usual drink of mine, and it is by far the best one I have ever had. The same could be said about the Roast Beef sandwich with Aus Ju! The manager and one of the regular servers have both gone well out of their way to get to know my husband and I as "regulars" there and seem genuinely happy to see us when we show up. Really good coffee and salad but i came in to enjoy my lunch today and relax. I don't want to hear Brett Kavanaugh being questioned about gang rape blasted on the flat screen TV over the coffee shop relaxing music. The music was literally on and CNN turned up louder than the nice music...so both going at the same time...talk about a headache. Brett Kavanaugh being questioned and that whole court drama playing out hecka loud not kidding you! Again I'm sitting there eating my salad while enjoying the words "gang rape" loud and clear super loud on that flat screen TV. I brought it to the older woman's attention. I think her name may be Cathy. Black hair, maybe the general manager unfortunately...I do not know...I told her the phrase gang rape was being broadcasted loud and clear and its not really great if kids come in or something and she said "yeah?"in a basically "so what" sort of tone. Almost like and what??? What are you going to do you lowly patron? That's how she treated me. I took my food and ate in my car spilling on myself. So that was cool. When I wanted to sit down and eat inside but I couldn't unless I wanted to listen to that headache. I came in about 10 minutes later just out of curiosity to see if she turned off the whole vulgar super loud court drama and nope! It is still the same CNN blasting over the nice music and she didn't seem to give a crap when I told her that "I'm not trying to be mean but it's just really annoying when you come in there and try to relax and escape drama and politics and all you hear is a big court battle with nastiness being broadcasted over the nice relaxing coffee shop music. Needless to say she had no intention of changing the channel or even muting it would've been nice. I bet you if I drive back by there right now it's still on maybe I will! And overall also they could've been a lot friendlier at the counter from the beginning just sayin'. Not even that friendly when I ordered my coffee. Prob the least pleasant coffee baristas I have ever met. Whoever owns this place needs to put their foot down or clean house. read more
