He is very persistent in delivering quality products to his customers and quality service. I used to work here, and my experience here has honestly played a big role on my take on health. I was a customer before employment and even after employment, because the quality is just that good at a fair price. If you really care about what you are consuming, this is a place for you. Also a good place to network your business and uplift others by posting sticky-notes on the window/wall!

I tried an acai bowl my first visit, and a smoothie and a cookie on my second. Yaahhh, the cookie wasn't the healthiest choice, but it was good. Although I ordered a salted chocolate chip cookie, the cookie I received tasted more like a salted gingerbread cookie with chocolate chips. I love gingerbread, so for me, this made the perfect pairing. On the other hand, if gingerbread is not for you, don't order this cookie. Unable to decide among the juice and smoothies, I was blessed to have the input of an enthusiastic team member. In the end I went with the strawberry mint, sweetened with monk fruit, with added protein. It was backed with flavor. I'm usually a green juice girl, so I already have a reason to return. Although I wish I lived closer, I'm excited to return to try a new treat.

You order at the counter and the server will bring the food out to you. We got chicken and waffle & chicken and pancake, French toast with side of scrambled eggs, and an iced lavender latte and English breakfast hot tea. The food & drinks quickly came out, which is always greatly appreciated when dining with kids. The chicken was a generous portion and juicy. The butter had a unique flavor and paired well with the chicken. The pancake and waffle were also big portions. The latte was sweet and well balanced. The manager came around checking on us and was very attentive when I needed to request an extra cup of hot water for our tea. The floral wall decor and light fixture gives such a cozy vibe. Service was top notch and friendly! We definitely will consider coming back soon again.

Portions are large/filling and we felt the food was delicious and a good value for money. When we arrived the line was long and menus were not available so we had to search for the menu on the website to avoid deciding at the counter and holding up the people behind us. After ordering, tables were cleaned consistently and service was friendly. Only feedback about seating was outside parties would take chairs from other tables and leave them with no seating and not all tables we're shaded. The drinks being available at the bar when it is busy and then food being delivered to the table was a bit clunky. I picked up water and utensils for our party before sitting and would have preferred to have to pick everything up at the counter or have everything brought to the table to avoid multiple trips around when the restaurant is busy.

The decor of this place is like walking into a low rider's garage, there's bright murals all over the walls of skulls, Houston sports teams, landmarks and celebrities. It's a whole vibe walking in with the all the colors and reggaeton blasting. The restaurant was slow paced on our visit. The food took awhile to get to the table, longer than other places. Our server did inform us that everything is homemade from scratch. But it was an hour between when we ordered and our meals came out. That wouldn't have been a problem if I was halfway through my third Dirty Horchata, but it was my lunch hour and time is short. So that knocks it down a star. On to the food- Shrimp Quesadillas- good, the cheese was gooey and had a great pull. It was buttery and fried perfectly, the shrimp were crisp and well cooked. Rice- it was super! Loved it. Refried Beans- one of my coworkers didn't get her beans with the meal. So I gave her mine, since we only had an hour I had to take the beans to go. Don't ask about the guac because I gave it away! I will try Dona Leti's again. The food was very good, maybe a cook called in and it was just a bad day. All I know is the bartender better be on point when I go back.

While I waited, I enjoyed a margarita, sampled the soft serve margarita and the happy hour prices were great! As for the food, the street tacos were okay but didn't really stand out. The surf and turf egg rolls had too much cheese, which overpowered the meat and seafood. The highlight of the meal was definitely the cheese and bean pupusa, it was absolutely delicious and the best thing I tried. I'd come back for the happy hour and the pupusas!

My salad was okay, but I particularly appreciated the fact that the ingredients were separately packaged with desiccant tabs, a brilliant idea for maintaining freshness. His raw broccoli salad was really quite delicious and I took a snapshot of the package label just so I could figure out how to make it myself at home, yes I cheated. Mr. Picky really is just that, picky, and if he likes it then you know it's got to be good. But he also has a serious sweet tooth and bought himself some Brownie Bites--he loved those things so much that he bought more boxes to take home, and I didn't have the heart to tell him it was probably healthy. As for my key lime pie, that worried me, because I couldn't figure out how plant-based could deliver; however, I quite liked it and could taste the cinnamon in the oat crust. Overall, I was expecting a 2-out-of-5 experience and instead was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't terrible eating plant-based food, and we were both full enough that we canceled the plan to stop for cheese enchiladas on the way home. LOL
