I only get gel manicures for specific events and so when I do I typically want to get some nail art done. It took me a while to find Britt but as long as she's local, I will keep going to her when I want nail art done. I particularly love her light touch! Brittoney's great! I love going to MUOI nail studio because it's a personal studio where you get one-on-one attention from Brittoney where it's safe (especially during a pandemic) and you'll be the only one there getting your nails done with her, unlike your usual crowded nail salon. It's a relaxing experience with a relaxing Spotify list playing in the background while you're getting your nails done. She pays close attention also to her products which makes me feel good when I'm getting nail service while choosing both quality products with the least chemical toxicity in them that your standard nail salon doesn't always think about. She has a quick dry nail polish line if you want to take a break from gel nails but also uses a quality Japanese gel product if you do. Parking is easy in the structure nearby and the bathroom in the same complex as her studio is always clean. She keeps her nail studio always clean and is constantly checking in to make sure that I'm comfortable. I highly recommend booking an appointment with Brittoney. There's not too many nail salons in my opinion that provide the care and attention that she does which is nice when you want to add nail service as apart of our self-care routine. read more

Today was my first visit with Britt from Muoi Nail Studio. There is two hour free parking on Pine Blvd, and the studio requires a code to enter (code will be provided via text a few minutes upon your appointment time), and they are right across a T-Mobile. The studio itself is very clean, bright, and minimalistic and is surrounded by other small businesses. After meeting Britt in the lobby, I sat down at her cute little space and clarified what service I was interested in. I got a half-moon (OPI big red) gel manicure, and I was super happy with the whole experience. Britt was very welcoming, professional, and friendly. After multiple attempts to keep my nail game strong, I gave up on finding a salon and resulted to natural nails and at home upkeep. I went back to the drawing board to treat myself and found Brittoney. I went to book an appointment through her website late on a Friday for an evening and the response was lightning fast. I was told that she couldn't take me due to a personal matter and that she could reschedule me for Monday. I took the noon appointment and she through in a sugar scrub! I didn't realize that she was the only one in the salon, its her own gig! I was so stoked to realize that I was supporting a woman owned business and it was a private experience. The room is perfectly curated minimally with her flare and she had really great colors to choose from. I went for the dazzle dry polish because what she said about it lasting long and its not gel! I was stoked. She had no issues shaping my nails how I liked, constantly checked in to make sure I was content with her work, and she was present. She wasn't on the phone, or talking to someone else, she was with me and we got to know each other. I did a bare pedicure second, no polish, and the sugar scrub was killer - a definite must! SERVICE/PRODUCT: My friend treated me to a manicure here, and I'm so glad she did. This was a great self-care experience. I did the Dazzle Dry option. I can't attest to longevity yet, though it looks wonderful and was indeed quick to dry (5 minutes after top coat). Britt's very detail-oriented and seeks your input with regards to nail shape, length, color, and massage pressure. She was gentle with cuticle care (as a healthcare worker, I appreciated this since it can be an infection risk if someone's overly aggressive with it). She was able to work around a broken nail and have it blend in with the other nails. The final product is great and I'm really happy with the results. LOCATION: Inside of Salon Row. She has her own suite, so it's a private experience. She sanitizes between clients, there's a plastic divider in between her and the client to be COVID-19 safe. Masks optional. There's a parking garage on the same street which is free for 2 hours. My session was between 1 and 1.5 hours, so that's more than enough time. AMBIENCE: Super cute and cozy! It's light, bright, simple, but has cute touches (like colorful origami cranes, the nail polish wall, and background music). I was relieved when I saw her wipe down absolutely everything with disinfectant --which is hugely important for a service that is in such close contact during the pandemic. Right away I was in love with the idea that you can come get all of your beauty and styling needs in one place! I was thrilled to learn that Brittaney uses vegan, non-toxic, cruelty-free nail polish. It was my first time getting Dazzle Dry nail polish... and not only the polish, but the entire manicure was done with Dazzle Dry's non-toxic products (including the nail prep & other steps). It was such a great experience to learn about what was really being done to my nails, and the products behind it. Another huge plus for me to support a business. And for the manicure itself, I loved the color selection. While I appreciate options, sometimes a wall full of polishes feels overwhelming to choose from. I loved the refined and considerate selection of colors, and am so happy with the color I chose. A new vibe calls for a new style of nails, and I got to try something I wouldn't normally do- a solid army green. It came out better than I could've predicted. Super solid, great quality and consistency, super smooth, simple but very well stated. Even though it's polish, it looks like gel (and I usually don't like gel because of the texture).. but this is like, a thicker polish. I won't be picking these off like I do gel nails =) and having clean products on my hands feels so in alignment w/ me as a consumer. Best of all, I'm loving this subtle green vibe! I was in town for a wedding a few weeks ago and desperately needed a manicure. Luckily I was able to get an appointment last minute at Muoi. I was impressed with all of the care and time Brittaney used for my gel manicure. I expressed to her that some of my nails were in rough shape with ridges. She made sure to even them out without adding on heavy acrylic or gel- it looked so natural and I was simply amazed. It's been a full 2 weeks since my appointment and my nails still look fantastic, no chips or peeling just a little grown out. Her salon is also adorable, we bonded over our love of plants and fun finds from IKEA. The only thing I'm disappointed at is that she's located in California and I live in NJ and I know now one nearby can compete with the level of service I received from her. First off, parking was free for the 1st 2 hours right next to the building which is pretty important for me. Upon arrival, covid measures were implemented for both of us. Britt was so patient and collaborative with me even though I was a bit all over the place with my idea, and changing ideas in the middle of Britt doing my nails despite my design being pretty minimal.
