One thing I really appreciated is that they kept most of the old staff too, which made the transition even better. Tina did my Gel X nails and she was amazing -- super detailed, thorough, and really took her time to make sure everything looked perfect. I started going to this nail shop about six months ago and have been pleasantly surprised. I usually go during the week and mid day so it's not super crowded, but it fills up quickly during holiday weeks. Jenny is my girl for nails, she does amazing pedicures too but i've gotten great pedicures from a few techs there. Some of the other girls didn't do great on my nails so now i only see Jenny. I just moved into the area and found this nail shop on my walk around downtown. I was in need of a pedicure and decided to drop by. They had a few options for pedicures. I chose option #2 with included a callus removal, sugar scrub, and 5 minute "massage". The nail care was okay. The nail tech was pretty gently which I liked. It took about an hour and a half for it all, which I felt was a bit longer than usual. The sugar scrub was minimal and the massage was more of a skin rub. This was the worst sugar scrub and "massage" I've ever had with a pedicure. She didn't really do a scrub. It felt like the put the sugar on, spread it, then washed it off. The massage didn't have any pressure. I've gone to many different nail shops and this experience was subpar. I would go here maybe for a regular, no frills pedicure. But nothing extra. I came on a Monday afternoon around 1pm and was the only customer the entire time. read more

It's really hard for me to write this review.!I use to come to this place once or Twice a week at some point, they were accommodating when it came to my son, they'd give him snacks and such but I feel like the quality just started getting worse and worse over time. Which is sad because this place has a lot of potential they have soooo many dips and colors. Overtime they started to make me feel more and more unwelcome. The prices are also very inconsistent. I've gotten a gel set before and sometimes it's 25, 30, 35 and they always pressure me to tip. Even if they do a terrible job. It's hit or miss with this place. The first time I was here, the nail tech thought my color selection was too sheer and took it upon herself to paint a different shade of red to try to counter the sheerness of the pink I chose. I tried to tell her while she was painting my nails, but she insisted it would work out. When my nails were an obviously different color than my selection, I told her it was because of the red she painted on as a base coat. She said she doesn't like the look of sheer polish. Fair enough, but she practically doubled my time in the chair for her own personal preference. Second time I came in for a mani pedi they gave me a woman who neither understood nor spoke English. I had no way to communicate my needs and she barely trimmed my already long toenails. I almost cancelled my manicure but they found me a new tech (I didn't even need to ask, someone had to keep interpreting for me during my pedi) and took the woman who did my pedi off the floor. My Manicure turned out gorgeous, thanks Trish! Sadly, I'm too active for the dramatic nails I love. Two broke the next day and I decided to get them glued or do an acrylic overlay so I could keep my awesome nails for another week or so. I figured I'd also ask for them to trim my toenails because they were so long my toe nails cut into my toes during my workout. They only filed my toes down and I had to cut them myself a couple days later so I could have a pain-free workout. I let the salon convince me to do a dip, and oh lord. It was the most unsanitary dip manicure I've ever had. The nail tech spilled dip on the counter and he put it back in the jar, then used that same jar to dip my nails. And not even that cute compared to my original gel done by Trish. I could go on, but this is already too long. read more

I went to this place about a week ago and realized the person doing my nails WAS INEXPERIENCED. She was shaking and sloppy m. I had to let the other tech know I wasn't there to be an experiment- I needed professional quality. They complied but had the rookie polish my nails. Why ?! A week later they look terrible. I went back to same place yesterday to get polish change and they insisted on fill - I didn't need a fill! I finally got her to tell me how much it would cost to get a polish change $20 and she said OK it's a waste of your money. I'll let her know it's my money and it's fine. She said give me five minutes I'm eating but 15 minutes later she didn't come out- I left. The previous owners were amazing and these folks have come in and given us poor quality ever since it is not my regular shop that I go to and I guess I keep having to learn the hard way ! read more

The work is sloppy. The nail polish is all over my cuticles. This is the product after I asked them to fix the messy edges. The technician kept filing and repainting. Never coming back. Save your money and time. Now I have to go pay someone else to redo the work. Truly embarrassing for a "professional" nail shop. read more

Some of these negative reviews are just crazy! I have been to quite a few nail places throughout Long Beach, the South Bay, Ktown, etc and this place is consistently good. Everyone is so nice. Even when they're super busy they take their time to make sure everything is done well. I have very thin cuticles and I haven't been cut once which is super rare for me. Won't be going back! I requested the $35 pedi. She waited until I was ready to pay, to charge me $50 and said they charge extra for POLISH!! That's apart of the SERVICE!! Also, the white lady next to me was NOT charged for polish! My toenails were cut UNEVEN also.
