Obviously what I wanted in the first place! Eugene is a kindly old man from the Ukraine who did an amazing hand engraving on a ring I got for my anniversary from my girlfriend. He also had a little display of other cool things he has engraved, a zippo, some wax sealing irons and other random items. Overall he did an amazing job and I'd definitely trust him to engrave something dear to me in the future. It cost only $15 and took him about 48 hours to turn around. I was looking for engraving service as I have a personal item where the words was worn off (it wasn't really engraved but printed on). They were very helpful and we arranged for me to come in to bring the item and explained what I wanted. They are a 2-people team; the lady answered the phone/emailed was different from the man I met in person. To make it easier on them, I had printed out the email with the photos and what I wanted engrave with my contact information when I came to drop off my item. I had emailed them before Christmas and then called at the end of the first week of January. I went last week Wednesday after work to drop off them item and discussed the wording. He said that by Friday there should be proof and then by next Wenesda it should be ready. He gave 1 week estimate turn around. They sent me a proof in email the next day but I didn't see it over the holiday weekend until I was back at the office. I promptly checked for wording, spelling and such and approved. I came today to pick up my item and was happy with the service. It was faster than expected. Overall amazing experience. The gentleman at the office showed me different examples of font, sizing, coloring and such so tha I would be aware of all options and how it would look. I decided against any color (but I did wish they have white as originally my dogtag was in white) but the had grey and black color only. Item: Dog Tag Worn out from just regular wear/tear from 19yrs ago. Received this in 2004 for my 16th birthday from my best friend. The man thought something happened to cause the wording to fade but it was just regular wear around the neck everyday for a few months. Maybe he thought it was engraved? It looked like it is slightly engraved with white color ink printed over but when you feel it, you can tell it's not engraved. See photos of before and after.

You bring whatever you want engraved to the building, the staff will come down and find out what you want engraved- the text, as well as the style and size of it- and will bring it back down to you within 15 minutes. They have you wait in the lobby because at the current time, the building is having trouble with the elevator (does not work most times, and they have to use the stairs to gain access to their shop on the 50th floor). They offered several types of fonts, and I thought they did a great job with my engraving. I was really pleased with it.
