    The only exterior sign
    Alan L.

Very unusual venue. The room is a synagogue sanctuary. The only sign outside is a very small portable sign. The location is exactly where your GPS will take you, so finding the venue is not a problem. The orchestra seats are comfortable and there is a good amount of legroom. The sound is not perfect, but not too bad. The rest rooms are small. They do sell beer & wine that you can take to your seat (they also sell water).

I went to a concert on the 3rd floor - can't tell if it was the ballroom or theater (one with standing space) but it was a nice space

This venue felt surprisingly intimate for the size and had bathrooms. It wasn't particularly remarkable for any other reason.

Also, we were sober and properly dressed; Andy specifically said our IDs were fake. I have a Michigan license that I renewed to get a Real ID this January, my friends have a Wisconsin and Arizona license that were also valid. Andy barely looks at our IDs and says "nope, nope, and nope." We're stunned to say the least and they asked if we wanted a second opinion. We of course said yes and we saw them walk in, not talk to anybody, walk about, and said "they said I'm okay (to turn u guys away)." We also thought it was because of our out of state licenses (which would've still been shitty), but then Andy did this "fun" little show and tell game where they took this persons ID from Colorado and compared it to ours (again our licenses were from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona). Andy could not give us a straight reason on why our IDs were fake because yanno THEY WEREN'T! So we left! If they really thought our IDs were fake then why weren't they taken from us? After that, we went to a bar maybe 300 ft from C'mon Everybody and got in just fine AND got drinks. Same at the bodega down the street because crazy enough; our IDs are all valid and real! I will happily come back to show my ID again to educate the staff at Cmon Everybody on what a valid license looks like from Michigan. I am also seeing other reviews of people getting turned away for "unacceptable IDs" so this is obviously a continuing issue. Do better.

The programming is thoughtful and deliberate: great DJs who actually play what the crowd wants, live acts, and events that draw people of all ages without feeling chaotic. Even on busy nights, the staff keeps things running smoothly, and the crowd is respectful and upbeat. It's a place where you can enjoy good music, good company, a feeling of community thinking that we're all in this together, and a sense of authenticity that's getting harder to find in the city. In conclusion, 5 stars for the crowd and the club that keeps it happy

I have a love/hate relationship with this place…read more I have had horrendous experiences here where an entire birthday group of 15 people left the line outside to go elsewhere because bouncers were on a weird power trip beefing with random people behind us in line. I have also had fun nights here with great music, dancing, and vibes. I'm officially old now and my thoughts on the place are tempered --that I'm glad it exists and it's an important space for the whole community. This has been a fairly reliable and solid place to dance which a good mix of genres, crowds, and vibes for years now. Used to frequent as I lived right over in Clinton Hill while in college. Oftentimes it has been the only place close by to dance in that kind of setting. The drinks are fine and bartenders typically chill. They did look at us like we were crazy one night when we asked for two long island iced teas haha... ...but also like actually why not? Maybe I want that chaos in my life. They said no, probably for the best. Bouncers outside have been hit or miss over the years but honestly you can say that about any place, they keep BS out so i can't blame them. I don't think the place should really ever have a cover including when it was at its busiest, but I think it may be necessary for overhead. The bathroom line can get long and people take their time in there doing what they'll do.. Can be a wildcard for what it will be like inside, but if you come with a fun group, problem solved. Overall the staff is "no BS" to put it simply, so as long and you're chill and respectful, you *shouldn't* have any problems.

It was far too hot and humid, and I made the mistake of coming directly in office clothes. But the vibes were excellent, and the faina with mushrooms was incredible. My last experience with faina was having it as the base of pizza a caballo in Buenos Aires, and I had spent many years looking for this delectable chickpea pancake. It was even better than I remembered, here served under charred lion's mane mushroom.

A little bit of a disappointment since the garden looked so beautiful and I wish the option wasn't given to me if it wasn't available. But the indoor space is very spacious and cool. They play great music in there. The menu itself is all plant based and meant to be shared so we got a great plates. Overall the food was fine but it all had such similar flavor notes that I couldn't quite distinguish the differences. It also wasn't super filling. I know vegan food can be hard but these were hardly meals. I could see going here for drinks and sharing some things but maybe going some place else for dinner. I was starving like 2 hours later. I wish their food was just a little more substantial is all. But the menu is very creative and their NA drinks were delicious! The staff was very friendly so I would come back! And I would recommend to friends

Once I take the escalator upstairs and approach BAMCafe, I use a minute to take in the ambiance. Inner decor is really special at BAMCafe as the walls have a brick - like structure, there are decorative lighting fixrures in the windows and the overall lighting/color aesthetic is gorgeous. Recently, the BAMCafe Live Series has been quite entertaining. It is a free live music showcase featuring different types of music. BAMCafe Live has been taking place on Friday + Saturday nights at 9pm. Pleasurable does not begin to describe my experience as I have been going several weeks in a row to enjoy BAMCafe' s live music itinerary filled with great bands. Baraji is a Korean Music Group that blended the use of musical instruments and singing to give a lovely performance. Alvin Flythe and his band served the crowd with spectacular Jazz Music and Arthur Russell Concert last night was wonderful. Staff here at BAMCAFE enforce strict rules such as where you can stand etc, to ensure everyone's safety. The bar staff try their best to get you your order in a timely manner (it gets very busy w/ customers during live music nights). The happy hour is from 6 -8pm but one can get a alcoholic/ non-alcolohic beverage for the duration. I have only had a glass of juice which was $3.50. The DJ is there and plays an excellent selection of music before and after the live band performances. He keeps the party going from the beginning to the end!
