I was happy to find a lone little Wesco down in Coloma that's only a few miles off my course, and one I certainly venture off of in order to grab fuel, cookies and popcorn. I stopped in yesterday and a very cheerful lady was behind the counter ringing people up. I grabbed a order of cookie bites that advertised $0.05 cents off fuel with purchase and she inspected the receipt and noticed it wasn't on there. She suggested that I call their Customer Service department and ask about the discount, but not thinking, I walked out and dropped the receipt in the trash. My fault.. but I appreciated her looking at it and noticing and calling it out to me.

In a tiny town, you don't have many options for the essentials and Dollar General is there for you. The kiddo really wanted ice cream but being winter time all of the shops are closed and the grocery store closed at 8. So, determined to get her ice cream (and other items) we went to Dollar General. They came through with the pink ice cream the kiddo demanded and the cashier gave her a balloon! How thoughtful was that? This is a great store in a great town filled with great people. On our most recent visit my husband picked up an energy drink, of which they had loads of options. We both used the restroom, we concluded that the men and women bathrooms were clean. The employees weren't super talkative which didn't really give us a vibe of who they were but they weren't rude so that's a plus. Overall not a bad stop, but as a seasoned traveler I do have favorite gas station stops and this just isn't one of them unfortunately.
