Absolutely delicious! The ice cream was so good that we went back for seconds. Every flavor we tried was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. They have so many yummy options to choose from that it was hard to decide. The staff was friendly, and the whole experience was great. Awful experience, the store is boring and sparsely decorated, the taffy is overpriced garbage, and the ice cream might genuinely be the worst thing I have tasted this year. Yeah the ice cream was not good. I think they might have used baking coco for the chocolate which made it super bitter (Dutch chocolate should be used). And it also tasted chemical. Like it was made with sugar free sweeteners or something. Very odd tasting ice cream. read more

We stopped in for a scoop of pistachio and scoop of rocky road. The pistachio was a very weak, chemical, colored wrong, unnatural glob of coldness. How can anyone screw up rocky road, well they figured out how, tasted like I was eating a scoop of someone's chemistry project on a cone. RFK needs to close this place down immediately. Went here while I was in town for my anniversary. I was craving ice cream and this was the closest option. The directions on where to order were a tad bit confusing and unclear. Once I figured that out, I stood in line and waited my turn. They had areas marked on where to stand, yet the person behind me felt it was simply a suggestion and stood an arms length from me. Maybe they really needed their ice cream fix, who knows. Once it was my turn, I asked the counter person if the coffee flavor was gluten free, to be on the safe side. I figured it was, but didn't really want to risk it. He had zero clue, and even the other server was clueless. It would have been nice had the signs with flavors would have been marked gluten free or contains gluten, or something along those lines. I got it anyways, keeping my fingers crossed that it was gluten free. It was ok. Nothing to really write home about. It was kind of gritty? Pretty nice location and decent ice cream. The store is right next to the beach entrance and in a hot day much needed. They have tons of flavors to choose from and I chose the pistachio almond. The color of the ice cream was bright green which lowered my expectations by a lot. Though after I ate it, the ice cream was pretty good and the pistachio flavor was strong without being too extract tasting. Though I wished the sliced almonds in it were not so soggy. The cookie dough ice cream was pretty good in flavor but the amount of cookie dough in it could be increased. The customer service here was great. Overall, highly recommend the waffle cone. We were hoping to have one last delicious ice cream on our last day in ocean shores and were so disappointed at the ice cream served here. It looks like they make their own ice cream but the taste is terrible, very artificial tasting with a bad after taste. I got one scoop of the brownie extreme and one birthday cake. Both tasted like they used fake flavoring and the after taste on the brownie extreme tasted like prunes or raisins. I didn't want to waste so I finished the brownie one but couldn't make myself finish the birthday cake. It was so expensive too! Go elsewhere for your ice cream! read more

I went in having high hopes since the other ice cream shop in town is really good but i was sadly WRONG . I walked in and the employees looked like they hated their job. i got the moose tracks and it was the worst ice cream i've gotten. it didn't even taste like chocolate and the peanut butter cups tasted stale and gross. the consistency wasn't even like ice cream more like icey milk. BUT......... the teenaged boy working needs some lessons in customer service. Very surly and grumpy. Dude - you are working in a candy shop - with kids and tourists as customers. Went into Murphy's to grab some ice cream. I'm happy they are back and open. We ordered each one flavor. We ended up with a small cup called a half pint size that had one scoop on it for 5$. Not even a full cup. The ice cream tastes good but it's way too much for way too little. And a cone is 75 cents extra you have to buy it separate. I know the new rules are making things weird. But I can get a whole gallon of ice cream at IGA for five bucks so for one tiny scoop I was really disappointed. At least fill the cup. read more

Went in today, prices were higher yet ($17.50 for 2 double scoops + tax) which is over priced for quality and quantity - but OK, I get the inflation situation. Incompetent and rude service however? No! It doesn't cost a business any more to have their employees listen and to be efficient and polite than not. Had to ask twice for lids and after asking for a bag, apparently I deserved not a thank you, or an insincere "have a nice day" or any acknowledgement that I was appreciated as a customer. Friendly and helpful staff. They have a broad selection of prepackaged and in-house made candies. The big draw seemed to be the ice creams. They looked very good and they had a large variety to choose from. I didn't try any due to being a cool day when we visited. Many people who ordered after us got their ice cream first. We asked what was going on and we still continued to wait while they made other orders because they "forgot" ours. Fantastic, local ice cream shop - delicious, creative ice cream flavors, wide assortment of fudge and chocolate all made in the shop! I tried over 10 flavors of ice cream :D and the employee Bella was very patient and helpful with my selection. I also bought some chocolates and highly recommend the salted peanut butter cup - YUM!! When we got here, the shop was closing, and the open sign was turned off. Although we were okay with taking our ice cream desires elsewhere, the girl behind the counter welcomed us with open arms. I tried the white licorice ice cream and fell in love. There was the slightest hint of licorice, but it was so creamy! The service was outstanding, and the sweet person behind the counter was totally receptive to our questions, and even laughed at our jokes. The ice cream was wonderful, but I most enjoyed the display of $4 sunglasses that was right in front of the counter. As soon as I walked into this place, it was pretty much chaos. It was labor day weekend so there were a ton of people here, all crowding the ice cream. The layout is confusing, as there is really no line and people just chat up any employee to get their order taken care. There were a ton of flavors, and I decided on the Caramel Praline Pecan. It was decent but not really that distinctive, which is pretty much how I'd describe the flavors my parents had as well (Huckleberry? and Walnut/Pecan?). It's worth noting that Murphy's had the WORST waffle cone I've EVER had. Seriously, I don't know how you can make them that soggy and flavorless. Blech. read more
