Super friendly staff that guide you through the ordering process. The ambiance is usually very busy and you order and pay at the counter after you're given a table. I ordered the crab omelette with a side of hollandaise and really enjoyed it. I'd strongly recommend the side of hollandaise as it truly elevated the omelette. If I'm being completely honest, the potatoes were a bit undercooked, the coffee was watery, and I found two small pieces of shell in my omelette. Still, I think this is probably your best bet for breakfast in the area. read more

Our Place was good not great. The staff is outstanding, friendly/down to earth, make you feel welcome. We had the crab omelette, seemed a little bland, got a side of their hollandaise which made much better. Potatoes and biscuits came with, both very good (biscuit outstanding). I have been here a couple of times now and each time I have been happy! If you don't get there early, you might be waiting awhile. You wait for a table and when ones come available you order at the front and then the water and coffee is self service. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly and always a joy to see. The food is always nice and hot, fresh and delicious. I've had their chicken fried steak and eggs and also a burger with fries. The portions are huge also! read more

I had two eggs with bacon and potatoes. I found a hair on my bacon and told the counter staff they made new bacon but I fiound another hair on my plate. They only remade the bacon hey should have remade the entire plate of food. I don't understand why I am required to tip when I do all the work. I should have gotten a reduced bill or my food remade not just the bacon. Probably won't be back it was not that great. read more

I've been here three or four times while on business and it's never disappointed. I had a crab omelette that was sooo good! The place is a little strange, they'll ask as soon as you enter if you've ever eaten there but that's because there's a process. You grab your own drinks and order at the counter. We enjoyed our place. It's a cozy little breakfast spot. You put your name in and then once you are seated at the table, you have to go up and put your order. We got the salmon Benny and chicken fried steak. Both were excellent! For drinks, you have to serve yourself. It gets packed so beat the crowd and get there early! read more

Out of the 4 plates we ordered, 2 of them had hair in the food. One of the plates had potatoes that weren't cooked all the way. One waitress was awesome and friendly. The other one asked if everything tasted ok, when I mentioned the hair in the food she said "yah" and walked away. read more

Delicious home cooked food!! Despite being a little bit busy on a Thursday morning (which is a good sign if it's busy), they were still really quick to get our food out to us! Wow! This place is very good for breakfast and lunch. While we were visiting Ocean Shores (3 times last summer) we came here three times which 2 days in a row. It is a small restaurant but the food is very delicious. Staff is very friendly and besides it is always full when we come, the service is pretty fast. I also love the fact that we order and pay ridge away before we have our food and they give us a cup to self service the coffee. I totally love love love it. Instead keeping asking for more sofre I just got there and grab my own and there is a few different choices of cream (vanilla coffee cream). Another time we came here was for lunch. We both got hamburgers. It was good but I really don't like when they use frozen parties. I just don't think it has a very good taste. I recommend this place and will be going back again when we go visit Ocean Shores. read more

After visiting a few breakfast places during our long weekend say in ocean shores it is clear that this was the best of the lot. It's been 3 days now since we have been there and want to give a few other places a try before reviewing. At first we found it strange that you order at the counter and then sit down, but this seems to be the ocean shores way. The hostess explaining all this was very friendly, cheerful and answered all the questions we had. I asked what she recommended and she said they had great biscuits and gravy...say no more. Wife had B&G with eggs and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with a biscuit and side of gravy. Mine also came with potatoes and they were very tasty, I only wish there were more of them. Usually places load you up with potatoes like they have them growing out their ears. Here they say...no you get one spoofull...we ration these. Maybe just go ahead and put a second scoop on there? The biscuit to me was a little on the small side, the wife loved hers though. I can't complain about the Gravy at all it was pretty good. The Eggs were cooked just the way they were ordered, which I found out is not always the case at some of the restaurants here. Only turnoff for me was no fresh tea. Or fountain drinks..its all bottled stuff...but hey you come here to eat first of all, right? read more

Order at the counter, get charged extra for paying with a card, then get your own condiments and beverages with the orders brought out to you. Burgers are frozen patties but the veg and bun are fresh. Service is not fast. Expect a 15 minute wait with no orders ahead of you. Have to ask for a receipt and it's not itemized. I love this place. I visit Ocean Shores at least once a year and I always go to Our Place for breakfast!! They have excellent food and excellent service !! I eat plant -based so, I just had a side of breakfast potatoes. They were good and fresh and tasted home-cooked. My friend got the cinnamon roll French toast, with bacon and eggs. The salmon Benedict was tasty. Order at counter, pay in advance & get coffee / juice from corner. Ocean Shores is a weird place with retirees and summer home/ condo owners. It's developed, but apparently there aren't enough workers. So several places were closed. Since this place minimizes table service, it has an advantage. So 'our place' was open. The decor and atmosphere remind me of a seaside diner, except cramped. My 'resort' motel had nothing to offer for breakfast and no staff. So, process of elimination brought me here. read more

I have been to nearly every state in the US, ate bennys in half of them across both coasts and everything in between -- at diners and 5-star hotels.. this is the most *perfect" Benedict. I don't often leave a review, only when the service or the food is exceptional and today Our Place achieved both. My family and I just lost our father and we are gathering in Ocean Shores to scatter his ashes. Well before we do the deed we decided to get brunch. We pulled up Yelp and #1 in town for breakfast / brunch is Our Place. We brought the whole family and all the kids. Most places would have been nervous of such a big crew but not Our Place. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I can't express this enough. Our server asked us where we were from and why we were in town. After we told her, she couldn't have been more accommodating even offering up hugs and smiles. The staff gave each of our three tables a complimentary cinnamon roll and a few drinks. I can't express enough how kind and friendly the whole staff was. Even going so far as coming outside to take family photos for us. The food was good but the service was wonderful. with covid & unsure economy, very hard to find breakfast early, they were open 7 am while I was ridin' north to try a place always busy, but not open until 11 am. Was going to end up in Ocean Shores & found Our Place, luckily before it got busy because by the time I bit into my tasty ham & cheese omelette people started lining up, and this place was not that big, I think around 10 2-4 chair tables, but there were some picnic tables outside under the eaves. Greeted by the only waitress there but friendly, efficient, with a little spunk to handle anyone, the food & service was excellent. A little modest in setting & silverware that did not take away from a very comfortable experience, even the coffee was good and that is coming from an espresso fueled regiment every morning, only wish they served hash-browns instead of those country fried potatoes but overall an excellent meal. read more
