My wife and I went to the Canandaigua restaurant weekly prior to Murphy's opening up. When they opened we continued to go till they went to a limited wine and menu which, understanding was in the winter. We've been back on occasion but not as frequent and as of last night in Canandaigua, never again unless changes are made in both service and menu. When we arrived there we had room to sit at the bar which we enjoy. There were only 6 others at the bar at the time so social distancing was good. The two girls running the bar, a blonde and brunette were running around as though they were lost for service and had to wait on a full bar saying it's so busy here? The blonde had her mask off working on the computer. Finally, after sitting for about 10 minutes, they asked what we wanted to drink and we got that but they were out of red wine glasses. We ordered a snack first after about 15 minutes, only because neither bothered to ask if we wanted anything to eat. Oh by the way they had a sign on the wall stating that if you wanted to drink you had to order food! We wanted to order food and were told at that time they only 8 items of fry food which was now being served due to Covid-19? I spoke briefly with the brunette,(neither of the bartenders gave their name of introducing which has never happened before either). I told the brunette politely that if possible they need to change their web site and she copped an attitude toward us and walked off. In all the restaurants we've been in, this type of experience has never happened. The waitress or bartender then started to take the menu's away from us. We stopped her wanting to look at the menu again, pretty limited and unappealing! But, we ordered something after being addressed about 15 minutes later. In between all this time one of the girls mother came in and more attention was spent on them than anyone else at the bar....real nice for service, not! After ordering we noted that they were delivering hamburgers and other foods to another table outside, after telling us only fried food. Terrible experience and won't ever happen again because we won't go there and won't recommend anyone to go as well! I asked for the tab and my wife and I were just about to leave and some rude guys came in, friends of the bartenders. One guy made a very nasty comment and if I wasn't as old as I am or smaller than the guy something would of been said to him. He had a very foul mouth saying it smelled like d_ _ k in here and dropped a few F bombs, the staff laughed and said nothing to him. The owners need to train their staff, the public in and around Canandaigua need to be aware that you have a limited menu and after 8 your only serving fried food (8 items). It's summer in Canandaigua and ridiculous that this is your service line or lack of! Your web sight misleads anyone looking with interest in going to this establishment. We are long time year round residents of Canandaigua and go out with many friends to support our local restaurants, it's really sad that this restaurants doesn't follow tradition of other restaurants in our town! I've spent 28 years in the hospitality industry and this place is pathetic to say the least!! We, too, are business people and hope that management reads and appreciates this report. read more

Terrible, terrible customer service. Do not go if you plan to bring your family. Patrons are over served and become belligerent. Vulgarity is used for adjectives and the staff condones the behavior. read more

Dinner for 2. Ate on the front porch. Nice setup although there is no relief from the afternoon sun. I would recommend the side porch if eating outside on a summer afternoon. Shared the fish tacos and Irish BLT; both were fantastic. Drink menu is robust! Really nice collection of drafts, bottles, imports, and domestics. Service was attentive and friendly. Was not impressed with the busing service - there were tables with dirty dishes around us for most of the meal. Other than that we had a great time. read more

A friend and I had dinner here recently. Our waitress, heather, was absolutely wonderful. We got an appetizer, the beef nachos, which were EXCELLENT! For entrees, my friend got the lobster roll (which everyone has been raving about apparently) and I got the baked Mac and cheese. Unfortunately, they were out of rolls, so the lobster "roll" came on a regular hamburger bun, but no big deal. However, the actual lobster portion of the sandwich was absolutely inedible. Lacked flavor, it was just plain gross. Like wet seafood put through a blender. The baked Mac and cheese arrived to the table without any breadcrumbs on top (one of the main features of the meal), otherwise, it was just OK. Certainly tasted like a thawed out frozen dinner, I could have made it at home for 1/16th of the price, but that's on me for ordering Mac and cheese! The drinks were excellent, and the creme brûlée which we had for dessert phenomenal! My friend and I had a reservation, but someone we knew was there that night and they waited 55 minutes for a table! Hopefully they get it together soon, they have not been open very long so I will certainly give them another chance. read more

Worst time ever... food was terrible (after we waited forever to even get a menu) and then the service was even slower!!! Waited so long/ we couldn't order from the kitchen because it closed, from the time we were sitting there- even after going and asking for service twice- Only option left was fried food( appetizers) I will not go back!!! read more

Friendly staff and boneless wings are the best we have had with the sweet Sriracha. Grilled cheese was huge and delicious too.

We waited at the door to be seated for over 5 minutes and the place was not very busy for a Sunday night. Then once we sat the wait staff took orders from tables that were sat after us. We were about to leave when a waiter came over and asked if we placed our order, we said no. As soon as he started a waitresses came out of no where and said it was her tables. She brought our drinks out and then didn't see her again. The young man that tried taking our order brought our food out. We had to ask for the bill. Oh did I mention they were not busy. The only person I would keep employed out of the wait staff is that young man. Very polite and paid attention to his tables. read more

Could be a great place. Waited over 15 minutes for a table in an empty dining area and empty patio-on a Friday night at dinner time. We're left at table with menus for over 15 minutes with miserable looking servers walking by our table and several others. After noticing the lack of service for us and all other tables, we decided to leave. Again, could be a nice place, just add customer service since it is completely lacking. read more

Sllllooowwwww service. We were appalled at how slow and inattentive our server was. Messed up our order as well. Then we walked in on her shit talking us as we left. Get it together people. Reuben tasted like vinegar and had small amount of corned beef. The soft pretzel was gigantic, enough for 6 people, if you could swallow it, as extremely dry. The cheddar dip tasted like peanut butter. Would not recommend the food here! read more

We had not been here in awhile. During our previous visits we were happy with both service and the food. Not this time. We stood waiting to be seated and was ignored by the hostess. Finally the bartender told us to just take a seat of our choice. My initial reaction was maybe we made the wrong choice . My initial gut feeling was right. The bartender pours my husbands pumpkin ale into a small glass rather then the normal pint. I requested my burger medium well. It was still mooing when I got it. The bun was bland and soggy. I could have went to McDonalds and had a more appealing burger. We were not given any silverware nor napkins and how to go on our own search mission to find utensils. No one ever came back to our table to ask if we needed anything else to drink. Also had to request our check at the bar. I observed the same lack of service for another customer who I think got tired of waiting and left. How I wish we had. read more
